coach ato was totally out-coached by coach reyes in tonight games.in todays game coact ato was like an amateur coach.he didnt even make any adjusment especially in 3rd quarter when tnt making thier offensive run.no defensive stops until tnt made a double digit.

Mangyayari at mangyayari talaga yan with a import laden conference like this, Eddie Basden, Jwash & Arwind alternating the small & power forward position. DP & DI alternating at center. it will all depends on the match but one thing is for sure laging may magbubutas ng bangko.

Toroman joins Agustin on Petron bench


A familiar face was spotted on the bench of Petron Blaze during its game against Talk ‘N Text.

Rajko Toroman, consultant for all San Miguel Corporation-backed teams, sat on the bench Wednesday and was seen giving input to the coaching staff and players.

Petron coach Ato Agustin said Toroman’s inclusion on Petron’s bench was the decision of top management.

“I was advised that he was asked by the management to join us on the bench,” said Agustin.

Toroman, the former coach of the SMART-Gilas national team, had already been sitting on the bench of the San Miguel Beermen in the ASEAN Basketball League. A member of the SMC coaching stable said that, at one point, it was Toroman who was drawing up plays for the Beermen.

On Wednesday, he was seen playing an active role on the bench, either by sharing thoughts with the coaches or calling players over to give instructions.

But whether Toroman’s presence on the bench will affect the harmony among the members of the coaching staff or his active participation will be beneficial for the team remains to be seen.

i agree with you.it really depends on the match-up but DI was very effictive playing the 4 spot.sana may sets of players si coach ato against dun sa mga run and gun teams or half-court style teams.ang observation ko sa rotation ng mga players ni coach pare-pareho.he has all the tools to match-up well against the opposing teams and yet at this moment of time he didnt doing it.

Ato is outcoached. He let JWash get heavy minutes and tried to get his groove, nasakripisyo ang teamwork at ang isang potential win. JWash was a sore thumb sa loob ng court, he is too lousy on the defense and too stubborn on the offense. Nawawala ang motion ng plays kapag nasa loob siya ng court. Kaunting fake, talon agad. He is too slow sa rotation sa defense. Stubborn pa at ayaw sumunod sa motion ng opensa. Tapos kapag timeouts, yung body language niya parang yung dati na naman na if things dont go his way, heavy legs na naman siya.

Mas maigi na ring natalo sila at this stage kesa sa latter part. This loss serves as a wake up call and a spanking in the puwet. They became too overconfident lalong lalo na si Ato. Hey, make the proper plays and do quick adjustments! This is a short conference, don't sacrifice team play for a player's groove to be back.

Then pinagsabay ni Ato si JWash at Arwind, kita kagabi, nung sabay yung dalawa, litong lito ang opensa kung kanino sa dalawa magbibigay ng play. Then hindi niya napaikot ng maayos ang frontline rotation. As for Basden, he is the perfect import for the team. Walang sayang na kilos. He picks his spots well. He plays great defense, mapa-1-on-1 man. He plays the passing lane so well. Dumadami lang ang attempts niya kapag nagkakaroon ng lull sa scoring ang team at minsan napupuwersa siyang magbwakaw kasi wala ngang gustong tumira.

i think the problem last night was the coaching skills of ato and the poor rotation of the player plus sama talaga ng laro ni jwash.. ang dami instance na pinipilit nya mga tira nya and the way i see it there's still silent animosity between him and arwind.. there are instance na free si arwind but jwash still pursue for his shot akala ko nga nung una ok na kasi nung previous game nila is pinasahan sya ni arwind ng bola.. pero sana the team and coach ato take this loss as a learning experience..

Kagabi, maraming flaws talaga na pinakita si Ato which Chot took advantage. Galing rin ng TNT kagabi they kept pushing the ball and forced Petron to play their game.

JWash is not so good of a defender, isang fake mo lang kakagat and worst kadalasan may foul.

Unlike arwind, ranidel and japeth has to bleed for their points.

JWash should just be a backup to Arwind. Nothing more nothing less.

JWash does not fit the center position. Kasi nga not so good defender.

Remember also FireQuinito calling JWash a pu-ssy.

Settling for jumpshots often. Nothing to contribute on offense.

Unlike arwind kapag malas sa offense. hindi naman nawawala rebounds and defense.

This is just my opinion. I maybe wrong.

nagulat nga ako kagabi nung bigla naglaro lahat ng injured players nila.. magaling lang talaga c chot mang ligaw sa mga statement nya.. or pinilit nya maglaro mga player nya kasi Petron ang kalaban..

lets still give jwash a chance.. maybe off night lang talaga nya kagabi pero sana yung mga flaws nya sa scoring is iconvert nya sa defense.. pag pangit scoring nya, gandahan na lang nya depensa.. ilang beses din kasi na nalulusutan sya..
