Air 21 wins the PBA draft lottery giving the team the 1st pick in the draft. Petron owns Air 21's pick, so they get it.

Sir nakapag-pass na po ba ng application si Fajardo? kung hindi pa, hmmmm di kaya mas ok kung i-delay na muna nya pagpasok sa PBA para makuha talaga ng Petron si Hodge...Kasi controlled na naman ng San Miguel si Fajardo di ba dahil may 3 years contract pa sya sa SMB ABL, so pwedeng ma-negotiate pa sya para sa susunod na mga taon 2012-2013 thru trade ng first round draft picks para makuha sya ng Petron, in the mean time, hasain sya sa ABL at pasalihin din sa mga national teams para ma-ensayo....sayang kasi si Hodge second sya sa scoring at number one sa rebound at blocks...masipag sya sa lahat ng statistical departments, mapupunta lang sa Alaska....

Petron could secure Fajardo by trading some of our star players for future 1st round draft picks sa 2013 or 2014 with Air 21, Barako bull and even Alaska. Sayang kasi si Hodge. Yung best yield ng PBA D-League na dapat sa atin mapunta eh mapupunta sa Alaska eh may paraan naman na mapupunta din sa atin si Fajardo thru the succeeding draft kung maghihintay lang ng at least 2 yrs ang Petron...eh cgurado naman na di pa makaka-champion nyan kahit nandyan pa si Fajardo sa ngayon dahil may adjustment period pa yan kung gagawing core player sya ng Petron.

Ang tanong nagapply na ba si Fajardo sa draft, hindi pa yata eh. Kelan ba ang deadline? Mag-aaply muna sya sa draft bago tayo mag-debate kung sino dapat kunin ng Petron.

^ August 3 pa deadline ng mga applicants. Next week Friday yun. Fajardo has 10 working days to accomplish all his requirements and mag submit na ng kanyang application.

For sure, may order na dito yung top brass ng SMC na mag apply na siya.

May disadvantage ang ganitong sistema ng draft sa ibang team. Para maging fair sa lahat dapat tapos na ang deadline ng pag-aaply bago mag lottery. Kasi pag yung possible number 1 pick eh hindi type yung team na kukuha sa kanya hindi na lang muna sya mgaapply which is unfair nga dun sa team na yun. Sana next time ganun na maging ruling ng PBA para fair sa lahat.

Haha.. Actually hindi ko naman talaga ina-advocate yung trade na yan. Bahala na yung team. If they don't do anything, i'm perfectly fine with that. If they do marginal moves, ok lang din. Kung gusto nila magrebuild, go lang. Wala lang magawa kanina at napaisip, "Kung uutusan ako na ibahin ang itsura ng SMB/Petron, ano gagawin ko?"

For what it is worth, isa sa mga favorite players ko ngayon si Jaywash, so typing "Trade Jaywash.." kinda hurt. haha.

That being said, please please please, kahit yung madraft si Hodge part lang ay magkatotoo. )

Petron has 1st,3rd,5th pick right.

So they trade Santos, Miranda to Meralco for 3rd pick overall.

So they trade Reyes, Washington, Yeo to Alaska for 2nd pick

(In any order since they have all the first 5 picks)
1st Fajardo
2nd Hodge
3rd Ellis
4th Mallari
5th Taha

In: Hodge, Ellis, Taha, Mallari, Fajardo
Out: Santos, Washington, Yeo, Reyes, Miranda

So you will have:

Fajardo/Taha/Hodge - C/PF
Ellis/Lutz/Lassiter - SG/SF
Cabagnot/Mallari - PG

That's a good solid 8 man rotation right there.

Then you could have additional players in the rotation like Hontiveros, Pena, Baclao, Ildefonso, and Lanete.

Now if they cant get those players via trade, then Petron should do what they always do.. Buy the team out..

Kung papayag ang Alaska, why not try to get this year's 2nd pick na lang? or kung gusto talaga ng pick ng Alaska this draft, yung 3rd pick plus a Petron player or a future pick.

At least that way, sure kuha na si Fajardo at Hodge.

Would you do a "reverse Jaywash-Castro" trade? That is trading an established PBA veteran for a high draft pick.

Say Arwind or Jay for the 2nd overall pick by Alaska?

Ah ganun ba.. sorry.. Langhiya nahiya pa ang Petron.. Di pa nila nilubos. Pero pwede pa yan.. Trade nila si Lanete for the 5th pick.. Oh kahit na waterboy / towel boy pwede rin. Pwede yan.. pseudo sister team nga..

But seriously if I was petron management, I will trade cash + any of the Petron players (except Lutz, Lassiter, Cabagnot) for the 5th pick. You can even add a future 1st round pick to sweeten the pot.. Might as well rebuild the team since they already have the top picks in rich draft available to them.. And with the players they have, there is a big chance they could get the top 5 picks....

I believe there will be upcoming trades but it won't be as radical ad most of you think and it won't be logical to get more draft picks in this years draft. Having 2 of the top 3 picks is more than enough.

I would look forward to a couple of 2 for 1 trades and parting with some of our good players for a reliable role player and a future pick.

Players with good trade value that in my opinion could be dangled in trading tables:

Joseph Yeo
Noy Baclao
Denok Miranda
Rob Reyes

Trading them will not affect the core of the team. It will still affect the chemistry but only to a certain extent. Bringing in A role player or two and a Future pick, might be a better choice at this point. After which, there should be no in season trade.
