I have co workers, working to death to send their kids to Yale or Duke
, kung walang merit ang school, why bother sending them to a $30 thou per sem na universities,

Para mo naman sinabi na only ugly fat people are bright, talented and skilled workers.

But the anti discrimination bs that others has posted say that given the credentials to be the same, one shouldn't be discriminated against because the other applicant is easier on the eyes.

    Iyong mabaho problema talaga iyon.

Pero pangit at hindi presentable? WTF!

Given that, bakit nga ba need pa ng picture ang resume?

Clerk?

but when you're really comparing, no two people are the same. you said it yourself, they may differ in the wages they require. they may also differ in the school they went to, the course they took, their other experience, their personality, etc.

sure if everything else is the same, hire the better-looking one. but two people like that applying for the same job at the exact same time? the world is far more random than that.

anyway, photos on resumes are ridiculous, it's just added bulk that makes it hard to stack applications neatly

that's why I concluded, its more felt sa pinas cos of the competition for lesser slots or open position sa work.

how many of their universities are in the top 500 universities in the world?

may Harvard, may Yale, may Princeton, George Washington Univ, MIT, NYU, U-Penn, UCLA, etc.

and kung grad ka ng local college in the states, what chance do you have against such universities na nasa top 100 in the world,

but since maraming openings sa US for work, hardly felt ang discrimination.

I had 2 coworkers, from NYU and Harvard dati, and feel ko ka level ko sila, lalo na pagnagtatanung sila sakin. .

what a coincidence...nahalukay ko yung unang-unang resume ko, merong pic at bio info

about sa question ni TS if required ba ito in other countries, not really. optional lang siya and the info is usually used for reporting purposes lang...statistical data ng applicants nila.

btw merong ibang job boards na may resume builder na pwedeng maglagay ng photo, so i guess other people do put their pictures. sa linkedin din naman, daming naglalagay ng photo.

I've been to a lot of job interviews lately, and some of them would ask "Do you have a girlfriend?" or "Are you in a relationship/Have you been in a relationship?".

  18. #58
i heard in the news earlier that some companies abroad are now taking a look and researching the facebook profiles of their applicants to see their true colors and lifestyle... although no filipino company or employer has ever formally admitted doing it yet. whether pic or no pic sa resume....probably if you have a unique name and it can easily be searched in facebook...they can still get to see what you look like. so.....you're still fucked if you're ugly lol. kahit i-photoshop mo pa yung resume picture mo...kung kenkoy yung facebook profile photo mo at nakita ng companya yun.....you're fuucked!

ang alam ko dahil sa daming applicants minsan who are equally qualified, they'd just ask unrelated questions just to screen and filter out some more. hindi na siguro important content ng sagot, pero more on manner of answering the question?

that is very unprofessional. pwede naman siguro magdecline and you can tell them politely that the question is too personal and not related to the job interview.
