Sapilitan ba talaga dapat ang EOP?! Even Tweety seems to have a problem with the language with the way she's speaking. Or maybe it's just coz she's very stiff as a host. Or maybe both. Hehehe.

Pero mukhang marami ngang magagaling this batch. And I hope they get rid of that self-absorbed Joseph soon. :P Ang stressful niya panoorin! Hindi nakakatuwa ang pagtataray niya!

none so far, walang pako nahanap na profile basta ang alam ko, yung model ni Enzo from the last episode was the worst - na naging model din ni Nel (e1) at Joseph (E2) - sabi nga ni Nel, kung sa design okay naman ang design ko pero ang model ko, parang wala lang - parang naglalakad lang sa kalyae - tapos biglang preno "but I love my model"

what i know is that magkapatid si ella and jaja?i think jaja is a 3rd year high school student from elizabeth Seton in las pinas and ella is from
la salle
(bag challenge, episode 3-ella is the model of yves-wearing orange and jaja is the model of nel-wearing red)

they are good, considering ang age sila na freshies pa sila sa professional modeling..nakita ko na sila sa isa nilang modeling stint kaya sila lang familiar sa akin. nakita ko profiles nila isa sa mga program then.

Maganda sana if the show would cast a more straight male designer-contestants para medyo interesting ang mix of characters. As usual, dami uling scene-stealers for this season.

re: The issue of them having to speak English. I kinda find it funny kasi in most situations, ang madalas na excuse ay "MagTagalog ka na lang. Hindi naman kasi lahat nakakaintindi ng English, eh". This one's the other way around.

Our version of Project Runway have already got some notoriety online dahil madalas magcode-switch between Filipino at English nung pinapalabas pa noon Season One, most of those complaints coming from foreigners. Some are making the impression na nagpipilit lang daw tayo magEnglish hehehe. But IMO, it's part of the show's appeal, kaya nga naging isang campfest at guilty-pleasure ang season 1 dahil doon

Agree also on the editing. Sa announcement ng elimination nung Episode 2, sablay iyung pagbuild-up ng suspense leading to it and there was a long gap of silence before Tweety announced who's out of the show. I hope the post-prod crew would take note of this.

Karla Galang's goodbye essay

The audition was a last minute trip. I came as myself, not knowing what to expect. When I found out that I was part of the top 15, plus, with THE Jojie Lloren telling me that I‘m a master of patterns, I was ecstatic! My dad would be proud of me!

The experience itself, minus the major stress and pressure, and meeting the other designers with different (sometimes extreme) personalities from all walks of life, was an awesome one. A few whose friendship I would cherish for the rest of my life. Plus, I met runway royalties! How cool is that?

During deliberation day, I said to myself “Oh great, Karla, you just made a tube dress…which looks exactly like the backdrop! What were you thinking?” It was the perfect recipe for elimination. I knew what they’d say about it even before the runway show, and I don’t blame them for eliminating me. It scrapped me the chance of winning the prize, but hey, I saved what was left of my sanity and health.

Imagine being given a very short time frame, with few hours of sleep a day, bruised hands, aching muscles, a VERY cold working area and PMS. Isn’t that enough of a challenge to make a dress? I was so tired and drained that I couldn’t really think about the dress anymore. I wanted to rest so badly that I wasn’t able to give enough thought in making the garment.

Given a second chance, I would have done something more complicated and creative which would show more of what I could do. I’d play around with patterns and textures and maybe dig deep from what was left functioning inside my brain so I can gather more ideas and concepts. All of which, I’d do with a smile on my face. Spell grace under pressure!

For me, Project Runway is an experience that can make or break you, depending on your attitude towards the competition. It is not only a competition of talent and creativity, but also a competition on who has the lasting power, physically and emotionally. It is also a chance to prove to people that you can actually pattern, cut, iron and sew 30 pcs. (or more) of patterns in a day or two. Would I go through the stress again? No, thank you. But am I thankful that I got in? Yes! I definitely am.

My plans after the show are to go back to teaching and maybe join Philippine Fashion Week. Start up a fashion enterprise, travel and just enjoy life while I still can. The options are unlimited. Positivity is the key!

i just watched last Sunday's episode. the judges should have chosen team "drama rama" as the winning team, because the dresses are by far more cohesive than those of team "second princess". the only basis why team drama rama lost was because the designers didn't get along with each other. that's just so lame and unfair...and mejo naiyak ako nung natanggal si yves and enzo

napakaprima donna...mas prima donna pa siya kesa kay Jospeh na kahit pano may napatunayan na! kung makaarte kala nya ang galing nya!

well as expected, madaming magagaling this season...the past 2 seasons madami din namang magagaling...pero nung season 2 kasi napakaundeserving nung mga naunang natanggal at nanalo. this season in fairness fair judging naman.

it's so hard to pin-point who's really good from this batch, because they're all so talented. magkakatalo na lang kung kaninong designs ang modern and futuristic.

although i really like amor and nel, but i saw some of their designs from the show which are old-fashioned. si milka rin may pagka-ganon and may tendency maging boring.

i also like glenn, because his dresses are so simple, yet elegant. although, sometimes i sense his lack of confidence. mj naman is inconsistent. some of his designs are good, while others are ok lang.

jenno's artsy fartsy style can either benefit or ruin his designs, due to his being unpredictable. cheetah can also be artsy-fartsy, but malinis kase sya gumawa.

i still can't get joseph's design philosphy, because his arrogance is more apparent than his talent. other who i didn't mention are just MEH to me.

i think the outstanding designers for me are cheetah and glenn.

[spoiler start]joseph[spoiler end] was eliminated last night. kahit in real life may arrogance pa rin ang hitad. after ng show, nagtweet na he's already teaching sa IAcademy --- okay

anywas, I think technically - Milka's one of the best, ang linis lagi ng mga garments niya but I agree with you guys, may tendency siya na maging boring. Kulang ng wow factor atm ang mga gawa niya

Si Nel naman, ganon din - okay yung mga pattern niya pero hindi mo pa rin ma-grasp yung design aesthetic niya - parang okay lang pero walang panggulat - plus, eye candy rin siya sa TV in all fairness

So far, pinakagusto ko si Cheetah pero minsan predictable yung mga gawa niya at parang scripted lagi ang explanation niya - haha. Siguro dahil clear lang lagi ang vision ng gagawin niya pero you can't help but notice her designs na laging may pinagkukuhanan ng inspirations from other designers and sometimes you would think na parang nakita mo na yung design somewhere - anyways, she's really magaling in terms of construction and design - from last night's episode, agree din ako sa sinabi ni Rajo < I think it was a great design > there's something about the design that kind of speak to you - actually para siyang mini version nung gawa ni MJ during the bag challenge.

BTW, this may sound stupid pero curious lang ako [spoiler start]straight female ba si Cheetah or hindi? Medyo naco-confuse na kasi ako eh...[spoiler end]

MJ is one of my favorites as well, exciting ang mga designs niya at at napaka fashion forward ng mga designs niya so far...

With Glenn, medyo worried ako sa taste level niya > sabe?? < pero I love his tailoring - superb indeed!

kina lhenvil, ionica, jenno and amor - medyo 50/50 pa ako - meaning I'm yet to be totally impressed or utterly disappointed with their works... (lol, novela comments naman )
