The magic of Sarah Geronimo!


Nine years after her victory in the singing competition, Star For A Night, it seems that the “Sarah Magic” has never vanished. In facts, it has become more powerful and stronger. This is evident in her upcoming birthday concert, 24/SG, on July 7. Concert tickets have been selling like hotcakes since they became available.



Reaching the sold-out status a month before the concert, Viva Concerts decided to stage a repeat on July 21 due to insistent public demand. Fans, supporters and followers of the Popstar Princess are just too numbered that the Big Dome can’t accomodate.

Indeed, Sarah has proven that she deserves the title “Concert Queen of the New Generation.” And now that she has blossomed into a beautiful lady, the Popstar Princess is ready to show her more glamorous and sensual side.



She has given a sneak peek of her other side through her Sunday musical variety show, Sarah G. Live. Fabulous production numbers and fantastic costume changes will astonish concertgoers on July 7 and 21.



Sarah has definitely captivated the hearts of Filipinos. Spreading love through her music, Sarah said that her fans keep her inspired. “Alam mo kasi ‘pag punong-puno ka ng pagmamahal. Mararamdaman mo ‘yan sa mga nakapagalid sa’yo tulad ng Popsters, ang family mo. Super inspired ka.”

Pinangalanan na ng Tambayan 101.9, ang FM station ng ABS-CBN sa Mega Manila ang mga nominado para sa 2012 Tambayan OPM Music Awards.

Nanguna sa listahan ng mga nominado ang "Star Power" grand winner na si Angeline Quinto, "It's Showtime" resident judge at host na si Vice Ganda at ang ASAP balladeer na si Erik Santos.

Pormal na ring binuksan ang botohan na siyang basehan kung sino ang magwawagi.

Mas pinalaki na ang TOPMA ngayong taon dahil sa pakikipag-kaisa ng Tambayan 101.9 sa lahat ng 16 na M.O.R. station ng ABS-CBN Regional Network Group (RNG) sa bansa para himukin ang mas maraming taga-pakinig ng radyo na iboto ang kanilang paboritong kanta o music artists.

Isang bagong kategorya naman ang ipinakikilala ng TOPMA ngayong taon. Ito ay ang "Phenomenal Entertainer of the Year," kung saan unang maglalaban-laban sina Yeng Constantino, Vice Ganda, Toni Gonzaga, at Anne Curtis.

Samantala, muling bibigyan ng parangalan ng Tambayani 2011 ang isang artist o songwriter na malaki ang naiambag sa OPM industry.

Unang ginawaran ng Tambayan award ang yumaong master rapper na si Francis Magalona noong 2010 na sinundan ni Charice noong 2011.

A WELL LOVED CELEBRITY COUPLE

The brewing romance between Sarah Geronimo and Gerald Anderson of Philippine showbiz is a much talked about topic in the online world of entertainment, social media (twitter, Facebook), printed and broadcast media.

Their paths crossed before but they haven’t discovered the intimacy they would’ve had before that they have NOW.

Their fans love and support them who came from different ages and all walks of life. Most of them love them because of their ingenuity as shown by their actions when they’re together.

What you see is what you get. Words are not needed to confirm that theirs is indeed more than friends, less than lovers?

Recently they just had a story conference in which the two are going to make their 3rd movie together. The movie is to be directed by Direk Cathy Garcia-Molina whom Sarah worked before in her movie with John Lloyd Cruz, A Very Special Love released in 2008.

Based on the video of the storycon, it was obvious that the two share something beyond mere friendship. No confirmation however, was divulged by the two who remain til now, that theirs is something special but not admitting if they are officially together as boyfriend and girlfriend.

With the blank threat thrown at Sarah by fans of a former love team Gerald was previously associated with, we can see why they still don’t want to admit to the world that they are together romantically.

Who can blame them for keeping it to themselves? That’s they’re private life and they are entitled to their own life regardless if they are public figures.

That’s what the fans should know where the boundary ends, admiring, supporting and being happy for them is one thing but prying up to the point of forcing them to admit something when they still want to enjoy it for their own privacy not for public consumption, is another.

They stated before that in due time when they are ready they will share the news if and when they are officially together. And fans should leave it at that.

AshRald fans are in fairness handling it in a nice way- unlike others, despite the fact that they know what’s the real score between their two idols, they patiently wait and support them regardless of the bad publicity who just wants to ride on the fame and attention every time the two are mentioned.

Sarah is slated to hold her birthday concert entitled 24/SG. It was scheduled for July 7 and they added another day to make way for those who might not be able to make it by then, the other date was scheduled on July 21st.

On the said concert, there’s been a buzz about it that something BIG is to happen. No one knows yet if Gerald will
be a part of those two nights but fans are eager to watch Sarah perform and excited to find out if those nights will be one of the night wherein the two lovebirds will publicly admit that they are officially TOGETHER.

Based on Sarah’s own show Sarah G Live every Sunday night on ABS CBN, the fans are expecting an explosive and more one-of-a-kind performance from Sarah, who- when performing transforms herself literally blowing off minds who are watching her with her ability to flawlessly dance even while wearing those high heels and switching into singing mode at the same time.

She is one hell of a performer and with every guests she has a number with she sings it beautifully in a way that awes even the original artist and brings more emotion and touch that only Sarah Geronimo has.

Indeed fans are expecting two nights of unforgettable music and a world class performance once again from Sarah- who Filipinos all over the world can be proud of.

Gerald on the other hand just finished filming an Indie film entitled “El Brujo” which he co-stars with Jake Cuenca directed by Tikoy Aguiluz. The trailer of said film is interesting and to watch out for to see how Gerald once again showcases his talent in acting after his success as “Budoy,”

With all what’s going on in each individual career of Sarah and Gerald, squeezing in time for each other is something I’m sure they treasure and wishes to enjoy in private.

They are both successful at a young age yet they remain grounded and maintain an image that a son or a daughter should have- loving and selfless when it comes to family and responsible for the success they are in.

We can only be an observer, give our own point of view of everything that happens around them – but at the end of the day , it is still their own life to live and the reality of Sarah Geronimo and Gerald Anderson-is theirs alone.
