Anong pinapagawang service work para sa mga financial aid grantees?

Hello po I passed the ACET and fortunately, I was granted with the 100%TF scholarship.

Sabi sa conditions e dapat magrender daw ako ng certain number of hours per semester doing office work, etc.

Okay lang yun saken... kaso after maggraduate ba, is it also 100% required ba na I work for the Ateneo or the community/government for at least a year?

Kasi may nabasa akong ganito sa letter:
The university believes that service to others is a necessary dimension of this leadership. Therefore, awardees are strongly urged to freely commit themselves to at least a year of service in education, government, an NGO or community-oriented work. The scholar hereby promises to consider seriously this option when making plans for the future.

Very clerical yung pinapagawa during your service hours. It ranges form sorting papers up to facilitating an event (yes, it happens a lot). You work for offices inside the campus, the ACED (Ateneo Center for Educational Dev't (not sure hihi)), the Guidance Office, Dean's Office, and sa OAA. Actually marami pa. Then you can sign up sa 'special events' that render service hours (e.g. during ACET registration (x2), during manual enlistment, and other stuff)

10 hours per sem is not actually a burden. Masaya because na i-immerse mo ang self mo sa iba't ibang activities. Last sem I volunteered sa alumni homecoming ng Ateneo High. It's fun! Nakakabusog and ang friendly ng mga tao. :>

Not sure about your question regarding the service offered after graduation. I think it concerns JVP (Jesuits Volunteers Philippines), I'm not really sure. Haha. )

^yup, very clerical... One time nga gumagawa pa kami nung mga october medal pins eh, hahaha...

About the one year in ngo, gov't or the like, parang di ko maalala yan nung sa akin, and hindi rin ako nag ngo ir something... Pero on my own naman, may advocacy din kasi ako (sort of) for education... Ani volunteer ako nung college and up until now, kung kailangan nila ng help, tumutulong ako kung kaya...

I've seen scholars working at our department. And yep, clerical nga. Usually pinapaprint sa kanila at pinapafold *** department brochure para may stock parati.

Okay din yan, masaya rin na experience. You'll get to befriend the dept secretaries and even some faculty members. Malalaman mo rin ang pulitiko ng isang department (which is quite interesting to observe, by the way).

Another easy and fun way to complete your service hours is by joining LSAT come second year. You'll help out with the manual registration during enrollment period.
