Mas masakit yung 2007. Yung kasi yung isa sa mga strongest na batch ng Salinggawi na lumaban sa CDC tapos 2nd place lang. Nung hindi sila nag-champion that year, alam kong mahihirapan na sila makabalik.

a) 2001 dahil nag 3-peat
b) 2007 dahil champion ulit after 5 years na thank you gurls

d) 2011 dahil sa ganda ng Madonna-inspired routine

Sa Rock routine at Tribo routine ako naging fan ng UP pep.

Pero ang witty lang nung UP Life routine.

Do they have to do chinchins, spikes, and the likes just for us to say that they have excellent partner stunts? I think they focus on mountings and transitions. And you forgot to mention, they can also do bow-and-arrows (or bows-and-arrow/s?).

As for tosses, I would like to see more flyers doing tosses (just like in 2009 when they had 8 or 9 flyers I think). Last year, if I'm not mistaken, they only had 4 flyers who did tosses.

I like to see scales and needle s. Sa tosses naman more twisting variations like pike open fulls, step out fulls, straddle xout fulls.

agree with athran. I feel that Pep can already do some of the twisting tosses but maybe for some safety reasons, they opt not to showcase it yet. Last year we already had a glimpse of their double fulls which is really tight and perfect in form. With the level of development in cheerleading skills of the other squads now, I'm sure they're going to surprise us again in this field. Kahit paisa-isa lang pwede na. hehe

My choice for the Champion spot is obvious (UP!) so i'd like to see lang BBB or AS shake again either the remaining two spots.

It will be a close fight between NU and UST for 4th and 5th place.

I know they can do scales and needles. It's just that for some reason, they only stick with the very basic heelstretch (and sometimes scorpions).

With regards to tosses, it's also my wish to see more twisting variations. I was actually hoping to finally see a pike open fulls from Nicole last 2010. Haha. I would also like to see a much improved execution of their x-out fulls.

The UP Pep Squad actually never ceases to surprise us. I wish they had more flyers who can do complicated tosses. By the way, is Irish still competing next CDC?

^ Hindi na ata magco-compete si Irish this year but I still love to see her compete. Tingin ko ang dami pa niyang kayang gawin as a basket toss flyer. She is probably the most improved female cheerleader ng pep. Today, she can already do tumbling passes that end with a perfectly executed layout. I remember when she started in 2008, di pa siya kasama sa mga girls who could do tumbling series.

Naisip ko lang, perfect combination ang girls ng UP Pep and boys ng AS. Think about how agile, light and limber these girls from UP Pep are and yung strength ng guys ng AS sa partner stunts, tosses and lifts. Malalaki ang girls ng AS, unlike their counterparts from FEU and UP pero may laban naman, proof of how strong they are. Explosive yun.

And sa forecasts, medyo nagdadalawang isip ako sa AS landing in the top 3. Madami sa core 2012 compet team ang graduate na ang halos 50% sa kanila ang first real compet ang NCC. So for now, AS for 4th. UP and FEU for the top 2 spots.
