Marami pwedeng gawin para mapilitan o mag dalawang isip ang isang skwelahan na hindi mag recruit ng foreign players, kesa sa ban, pwede naman nilang dagdagan pa ng isang taon ang residency o di kaya kung duda sila baka mercenaryo ito, sa bawat taon na nag reresidency ipasubmit ang scholastic records nila sa kinauukulan. atpb., maraming solusyon kung pagaaralan o pagiisipan ng mabuti, para sakin halatang may galit at mas nanaig ang emosyon sa pagpanukala nito kaya hindi na nakuhang pagisipan pa.

MANILA, Philippines - Tapping foreign athletes will now be a thing of the past in the NCAA.

This came after the policy board, now chaired by Fr. Tamerlane Lana, OP, of Season 88 host Letran, had approved with finality a proposal disallowing member schools from recruiting and tapping foreign players.

Although approved, the NCAA is still deliberating and discussing when the new ruling will be implemented although sources said there is a plan to put it in practice three years from now, or in Season 90.

“Yes but maybe the non-acceptance of foreign players will be implemented on Season 90,” a source told The STAR yesterday.

The 2014 schedule is being proposed to give member schools a two-year transition period wherein they could form an all-Filipino team.

However, the new ruling, whose implementation will be discussed by the board in its next meeting before Season 88 opens in June, does not cover foreign players who have been recruited before its approval.

Again you conveniently overlooked the little details about that uniform violation which you violated more than once. In that CSB vs SBC match, Sam Ekwe used his old uniform because his jersey got stolen. No one from your side bothered to inform MANCOM about the incident and your coaching staff took it upon themselves to suit him up using an old jersey thinking that he can play. I'm sure it is honorable to win but by ignoring existing rules will reflect upon other members that it's okay to violate league rules that your school adhered to from the very beginning that it was enforced will make it dishonorable.

And please don't forget precedents. Your school is not the only one who violated it and I don't think CSB won a trophy over your school on that same year. And blowing it out of proportion by thinking that it was a conspiracy to ruin your quest which was never hindered to begin with. Stick with the issue at hand, because we're on the same page as far as foreign student athletes are concerned.

Delusions of grandeur? How about the hated MANCOM (which has a beda rep) "ALWAYS HATING" on beda? How about thinking that MANCOM (which has a beda rep) having a conspiracy to put down almighty beda? that everybody hates beda, jealous of its success? others making up stuff so beda does not have an intact lineup? criticize beda and you're a hater? what do you call this? If an alumnus/alumna would start heralding that his/her school prioritizes academics, his/her alma matter is pretty much in bad shape.

Letran can't keep up with the recruitment wars. Plain and simple. Letran's battlecry of "Last all Filipino Champs" went kapoot and now, you are saying that Letran prioritizes academics that is why it can't slug it out in the recruitment wars. No need to come up with reasons that no one would even believe you.

Why pile up so much hatred against San Beda. Try catching up.

This is clearly a case of human discrimmintation. Tama bang pagdudahan ang foreign student who happen to ba also an athlete as mercenary? Its not proper to tag them that and also its not proper to ban them from playing as long they and their respective schools submit the right requirements. Clearly this ruling of the group headed by Fr. Lana violates the human rights which is recognized around the globe. With this ruling is like closing our doors from other foreigner who wants to get their education here in the Philippines. We allow foreign priest to preach and head our local mass every Sundays, there are also foreign professors in some of the schools, how come they do not allow foreign athlete/student to play for their respective schools? For me this is clearly fear of competition and very discrimmatory. Shame of the group who passed such ruling. Hail to those who welcome our fellow humans regardless of nationality.

Nakakatawa nga lang isipin kasi matatagal na sila naglalaro basketball and i see no effect sa paglalaro yung uniform kung logo or luma lang yung uniform. Madali lang naman siguro marecognize yung nakalagay sa Uniform na SAN BEDA. Luma man o hindi yung uniform. So ibig sabihin Sir, ok *** na nanalo sa uniform kahit na talo sa tunay na laro???? Natatanggap nila yung ganun..

Parang may naalala akong issue dati, pagkatapos ata ng laban ng san beda at eac , ay may nag uudyok sa EAC na magreklamo/protesta laban sa sanbeda. Dahil din ba sa uniform yun?

Yan ang mahirap kung may paksyon sa loob ng isang grupo, (mancom) kahit mali ay magiging tama basta hawak mo ang boto ng nakakarami. kaya malakas ang loob ng mga ito na magsagawa ng kakaibang rekomendasyon o panukala. Malas nalang siguro ng sanbeda na kayo ang pinagkakaisahin ng mga ito. Siguro alam nyo naman ang rason kung baket kayo lagi pinagiinitan.

Oh. And by the way, recruiting foreign players will no longer be allowed starting the 90th NCAA season. So that's 2014.

2014 is the last year of the "reported" 3-year contract of the NCAA on Manny Pangilinan's TV5/AKTV television network.

Enough time for San Beda to gain its university status and study the possibility of moving out of the "crab-infested" NCAA and transfer to the UAAP.

Noli Eala was the projector director of the Smart Gilas. It was his baby. He was Executive Director and Team Manager once at the SBP. Unfortunately for him, he was booted out of the Samahang Basketball ng Pilipinas. I guess that tweet of his was one way of getting back at his former boss, Manny Pangilinan.

Yup. Isa dun sa 3 idiots yun "allegedly" nag uudyok. Sabagay sanay naman siyang magprotesta kahit na alam hindi makapasok sa Final 4 yun team nya basta makapang hila lang pababa. They would rather accept (with a heavy heart) a meaningless boardroom win than lose with dignity sa hardcourt.
