15 events will be disputed on the final day.

Men's marathon - the Kenya, Ethiopia and Eritrea are expecting to dominate this event.
Mens basketball - it is already obvious who will win here
Boxing men's flyweight - the way he had dominated in the earlier rounds, Ramirez of Cuba has the edge here.
Boxing mens lightweight - Lomachenko of Ukraine will win
Boxing men's welterweight - Kazakhstan Sapiyev has the edge but dont discount the hometown decision here.
Boxing men's light-heavyweight - Mekhontsev could give Russia its first gold medal.
Boxing men's super heavyweight - Camarelle of Italy will defend his gold medal against hometown bet.
Cycling men's cross-country race - a repeat of 1-2 finish by France in Beijing is possible
Gymnastics rhythmic group all-around event - Russia will win the gold
Men's handball - World championFrance is solid favorite to repeat over Sweden.
Women's pentathlon - world champion Mhai Spence of Great Britain is out to beat the defending Olympic champion Lena Schöneborn of Germany.
Men's volleyball - Brazil is odds-on favorite to win the gold.
Men's water polo - world champion Italy will win.
Men's wrestling - 66kg freestyle - a wide-open competition, India, Turkey, Russia, and Iran will fight it out for the gold
men's wrestling - 96kg freestyle - Iran, Turkey, Georgia and the USA are in contention for a gold medal.

USA will regain the top spot in the overall medal standings. China, Great Britain, Russia and South Korea will take the next 3 spots. France could overtake Germany for the 6th spot and Italy, Hungary, Australia will complete the top 10 with Ukraine still a chance to sneak into the top 10.

    Heart of a Champion

Indeed you cannot underestimate the heart of a champion. And Brazil has just proven that by beating the heavily favored United States to win the gold in women's volleyball. It was really a major upset considering that the Brazilians lost to the Americans in the group stage and the US spikers have never lost a match prior to their defeat in the final. And Brazil barely made it to the quarterfinal and survived six match points to beat Russia in the last eight. What an amazing story.

On the other hand, it was a painful defeat for the Americans. Now, the three-time defending World Grand Prix champions will have to wait for four more years to get another chance of claiming the elusive gold in this event. The twist, however, is they will have to do that in Rio de Janeiro.

ngayon lang nagising after watching the game of Brazil and USA.. just can't move on kay JAQUE.. grabe ang floor defense! mas marami pa yata syang magandang saves kesa dun sa libero nila.. at ang taas ng percentage sa attack.. sya nga lang yata yung pumupuntos nung first set.. saan bang league at team sya naglalaro? at masubaybayan..hahaha

replay nga pala sa AKTV ngayon yung game.. gonna watch her again!! wooo!!!

HAHAHAHA

Help. Kailangan ko ng malinaw. Banned 'yung link na binigay sa akin. Huhuhuhu

Who could still be on the USA team come 2016?

    Hooker
    Larson
    Hodge
    Foluke
    Thompson (setter)
    Miyashiro
    Harmotto

Who could still be on the Brazil team come 2016?

    Fernanda Garay
    Tandara
    Natalia
    Thaisa
    Fernanda Pereira
    Dani Lins

However, both squads have a very deep pool of talents so we cannot say they could still be there four years after.

Sa tingin ko, maglalaro pa yung ibang Brazilian players as their last Olympics sa Rio despite the fact na tatanda na sila ng four years. Plus factor na yung sa country kasi nila gagawin kaya siguro gusto nilang idefend ang gold.

    In 2016
    Fabiana, Dani (31)
    Jaque (32)
    Sheilla (33)

Ewan ko lang yung Libero nila na magiging 36 na non. Sila pa naman mga ace players.
