5 in 96 4 in 2000 and 04 one in 08. But then again, the 92 and 96 batch of olympian boxers were a lot better than any succeeding batches IMHO

Saudi Arabia, Algeria, UAE and Egypt has so far exempt their Olympic athletes from fasting during Ramadan because they are traveling to other nations. but they have to make up those days of fastings after Ramadan.

I wonder what happened to Suntok Ginto. It's an NGO that was meant to garner support for Filipino Boxers. They were quite in the news back in 2010-2011 but they haven't been that visible during the lead up to the games.

I believe may live telecast yung opening ceremony sa Solar. Sana naman this time walang OA na ads na sobrang dami like what happened in 2008 Beijing Olympics. It was sooo frustrating to watch.

Very much excited for women's gymnastics. I just love the drama last time. I predict USA to dominate but Russia is just right behind them. It all boils down on how the girls control their nerves.

For volleyball, I expect USA to sweep this time both indoor and beach. Last time their women's indoor team didn't get the gold.

Tennis, USA all the way except men's singles. Federer will do everything to get that elusive singles gold medal.

May live telecast din yung Star Sports sa opening ceremony at 3:30 am Phil time.
