^^ Bending air inside the human body.. that would i think be AIR's advanced bending form that's as deadly as blood bending!!! Astig yun at malamang will be forbidden as well!

Baka si Tenzin or one of his children will learn that later on in the series(crossing my fingers)..

Guys, have you read the Avatar: The Last Airbender comic book "THE PROMISE"? Its timeline is just before the "Legend of Korra" and will explain how "Republic City" came to be.

Nabasa ko na yung part 2 right after its release. Kinda blurry lang yung scans.

Ang tagal pa ng conclusion, September pa.

O nga eh, ang tagal pa.. part of their marketing strategies me thinks.. maybe that's before they'll air Book 2 of LOK.

Wish gawan din nila ng mini series yung ATLA Lost Adventures! Wanna see the Bumi vs. Toph duel kung sino talaga ang greatest earthbender!

ang naisip ko namang forbidden/advanced form ng airbending is that i-deprive mo ng paghinga ang isang tao kasi aalisin mo yung hangin sa paligid niya, not necessarily yung air na nasa loob ng katawan niya. Yun dedo kagad. or dahil the atmosphere consists of air, weather-bending.

or introduce timebending and spacebending. that would be cool.

Eto naman naiisip ko dahil kay Meelo. Nilalabas niya yung hangin sa loob niya so pag na-master niya yun, pwedeng magawa niya sa ibang tao.

^ yuhhh.. I think we will be seeing more air bending skills from the air bending kids in the next season!

Airbending is just too cool for the creators not to give us more of it especially when it's done by cute little kids!!!

Isang tulog nalang and Season Finale na ng Book 1!!!

Why Legend of Korra Is the Smartest Cartoon on TV
By Scott ThillEmail Author June 23, 2012 | 8:30 am | Categories: animation

In the animated show’s fantastic first season, which ends Saturday morning on Nickelodeon with back-to-back episodes “Skeletons in the Closest” and “Endgame,” Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konieztko’s tough new heroine Avatar Korra has navigated a refreshing bildungsroman during a full-blown war between the haves and the have-nots. That is, the Benders who have the elemental power to bend earth, air, fire and water to their will, and the Equalists who have not.

“It’s a really strong series because it presents important messages and lessons that are relevant to personal and social relationships and challenges today,” actor P.J. Byrne, who voices comic-relief earthbender Bolin, told Wired. “Its core message is not about trying to exploit power differences between the haves and have-nots. It says that real power is what you have between your ears and how you choose to use it, that your life is defined by the richness you create in the world you choose to live in.”

DiMartino and Konietzko‘s acclaimed Avatar: The Last Airbender was one of the smartest, sweetest cartoons ever made. And the first season of The Legend of Korra has lived up to its progenitor’s pedigree, taking us on an alternately riveting and hilarious ride packed with fantasy naturalism, steampunk grandeur, kinetic conflicts, sci-fi weaponry and self-aware comedy. The velocity has only increased with each new episode.

But with the determined rise of mysterious supervillain Amon — whose ability to wipe benders of their elemental powers seems just a few inches shy of mind-rape — The Legend of Korra has achieved a powerful technopathic upgrade of The Last Airbender’s rich mythology.

Though she is the most powerful being in DiMartino and Konietzko’s elemental universe, Korra has spent her first season realizing it takes much more than power to achieve a utopia free of charismatic totalitarians like Amon. It takes friendship — watch Korra and the firebender Mako share a quiet moment before the storm in the clip above — and stewardship as well. Especially when it comes to the environment that provides us all with the resources we’re sadly too quick to abuse alongside our power.

“The power of The Legend of Korra‘s natural world is dealt with in a way that demonstrates respect for the enormity of its elements,” said Byrne. “It’s similar to the challenges we face today in managing the resources of our own planet. And just so you know, Bolin intends to run for president in Season 33.”

Now that The Legend of Korra‘s impressive Book One has ended, DiMartino and Konietzko are feverishly at work on preparing the second season for its much-anticipated 2013 return to the airwaves.

All ages are welcome, and all minds will be wiped — thankfully not by Amon.

“The biggest surprise to me has been its appeal to such a hugely diverse demographic,” Byrne said. “The writers have developed at least a dozen intricate characters with broad appeal across multiple ages, allowing fans to dial into the dialog, metaphors and messages at different levels of sophistication.”

The usually energetic Byrne is predictably quiet on the forthcoming Book Two’s finer details, while DiMartino and Konietzko are openly inquisitive about a possible Book Three. “Those aren’t really the decisions that we make,” Konietzko told The Wall Street Journal, passing the buck to Nickelodeon. The network had better not fumble unless it wants to unleash the wrath of a cross-demographic fan base spoiled by that priceless rarity known as intelligent television.

Finally Book 1 is now closed
2013, it will be a long wait for Book 2

For me, it the 1 hour finale, i guess, is not that good but not that bad either. Everything felt kinda rushed, I dunno. Maybe because of Book 2, that they have to rush or change the ending.

Anyways, I knew it all along, Amon is a bloodbender and Tarloks bother. I was kinda disappointed though, I thought he would have a real connection to the spirit world, or something different that'll blow us away. I was really hoping for a connection between Amon and Koh, but oh well. The war was awesome but kinda happened so fast lalo na nung nadefeat na nila si Amon tas sa pag escape niya. Parang nakulangan ako sa detail dun. But I love the scene dun sa explosion, Tarlok has really redeemed himself. :worship: :worship: General Iroh's scene was also awesome, sana malaki ang role niya for Book 2 and more Irohsami . The last part was epic. Aang and the rest of the Avatars and Korra giving Lin's bending back. It was so..... EPICASDFJKASLKFDJAKDFAJL

Again, the finale felt rushed but over all it was still awesome especially dun sa ending part. I was hoping for a cliffhanger for Book 2, sadly wala haaaii... 2013 why u so far?

    sigh...

Whew!!! Gawd, I watched the last part over and over and over again!!! The part where Aang appeared and Korra went to Avatar State!!! Epic!!!

The soundtrack of this series is just awesome too!!! Galing ng track team ng series!

It was great to see that the only bending Korra haven't mastered would be the same bending that saved them from Amon.

I like the way the story played out in the end with Korra still saving Republic City and becoming a great healer, and can now restore the bending of those people whose bending Amon took away. Of course, una dapat si Lin!!

And yeah, I knew it! Lin is back to show us more of her a$$kicking metal and earth bending for book 2! Sooo happy!!
