Pet-friendly condos in Manila?

Hello po sa inyo,

Foreigner ako - tumira ako sa Pilipinas noon at bumabalik ako sa darating Mayo kaya nakatira kasama ang girlfriend ko at mag-trabaho doon sa Maynila. Gusto namin mag-rent ang medyo-magandang condo/apartment sa Ortigas, Makati, o Fort Boni. (sa pagitan ng mga 15000 - 30000 buwan-buwan)

Pero: May isang pusa kami. May problema ba ito? Noon, tumira kami sa pangit na boarding house lang, kaya walang problema ang pusa. Pero, ngayon, mayroon ba ang mga 'pet-friendly' apartments/condos para mag-rent? Karaniwan ba o hindi karaniwan ang mga ito?

Hi Yosho! I doubt if there's any in Makati or Ortigas although I am unsure of this. There are quite a lot in Eastwood and Fort Bonifacio. Eastwood (Try La Fayette) condo rentals would usually range from 15,000-25,000/month depending on size. In Fort Boni it is usually 25,000 - 50,000/month but again depending on the size. I don't know the names of condos in Fort Boni so I couldn't suggest any, yet I assure you that most of the condos there allows pets. And just in case this helps, one mid-rise condo (CAMBRIDGE Village) very near in Eastwood can give you a rent-to-own basis for a 30sqm about 5,000 per month.

(Eastwood is just a few minutes away from Ortigas.)

But, I also take into consideration on my pup's safety. To this point, I am pleased with the development. i think all dmci condos allow pets. It was one of my considerations when I bought a condo from them - Cedar Crest in Taguig. Some units for rent cost less than 20K per month much affordable compared to Megaworld projects that are also pet friendly.

I am not sure whether they allow reptiles in the buildings, however, you can mostly see dogs. If you really want to know about this, you have to contact them. You may visit them in their official website at www.dmcihomes.com. Their hotline number is included in their page.

Good for you. I may not have a dog, but seeing all the other dogs in the community is inspiring. Whenever I jog around the pathways, I can always see owners walking their dogs. It just shows how they truly care for their pets. I am staying in Taguig too, but in Cypress Towers. I bet you know that it’s a DMCI Homes development too.

I think so. Kasi dito sa Cypress Towers, na DMCI Homes development din, aside sa mga installed home security cameras, ay may mga notices na naka- post regarding sa pet care.
