Should I wait for UP Manila?

Update lang guys: I've decided to go to Benilde na, even if I was reconsidered at UST. If ever I get reconsidered at UP Manila, I might go insane. LOLJK. I guess I had to make sacrifices, and giving up the chance to go to my dream school is one of those sacrifices. It's for the greater good of my family though! Thanks again, and good luck to the hopefuls!

Hello po. Enrollment Ko po kasi sa ust is may 23 at ang apply rin ako for recon sa upm. Tumawag po ako at sabi mga last week pa ng may pero di Ko Alam *** date. Comp sci po ang course choice Ko sa upm at 2.449 ang upg Ko. Should I wait po ba o mageenrol po muna ako? Hindi Ko po talaga Alam ang Gagawin Ko. Need help! Thank you!

Guys, kung afford ng wallet ninyong mag-enrol na muna sa ibang schools, gawin na ninyo, because I'm telling you, yung lists minsan na nirerelease ng OUR ay partial at minsan nadagdagan pa yun sa mga susunod na araw. Kasi irerelease din yan kung kailan may pasok na ang karamihan ng universities, kaya isa ngang sugal ang gagawin ninyo. I-refund na lang ninyo if ever pumasok na kayo sa UPM. Good luck sa mga susunod na Isko at Iska!

hello there. I applied for UPM reconsideration though mageenroll na ako sa dlsu sa sat. I called OUR at...ang results daw ay lalabas sa Monday.

Hi! Nagparecon din ako sa UPM. You know guys, sa mga nagsasabi out there na mababa ang chance nilang marecon, I should be the one saying that. My UPG is just 2.521. See? Very low ang chance ko. Everytime na nagpupunta ako sa backup school ko, sa PLM, I make visit to UPM-OUR to see my bestfriend who passed in UPM para utusan siya na tanungin kung kelan ilalabas ang recon results. Still, ang sagot nila, "Last week of May pa po, NO ASSURANCE.Senti ako while walking along the sidewalks of P. Faura thinking about the recon. Ang hirap ng walang pinanghahawakan. Good thing at pasado ako sa PLM. Yun lang, enrollment on May 28. Pasahan ng credentials till 23. Can I make it to wait for the result?

Uhm, pray mo maraming magbackout from DPWS and those na talagang tanggap talaga sa UPM. Pag maraming magbackout, mataas ang chance na makuha ka. Pero, as I always say, ranking ang labanan sa UP. Sama mo na rin sa prayers mo na maraming mas mababa pa sa iyo. Masyadong selfish ang prayer ko, pero yun naman kasi ang patakaran para makuha ka.

Or kung all else fails ang drama, try mo na munang magstay sa PLM for a year, i-uno mo lahat ng subjects then shift ka na lang on your sophomore year.

I feel you nevertheless04. As in, we're in the same situation. I got a cousin who's studying in UP Diliman and she has a friend naman na nagparecon sa UP Mnl last year. 2.4 something daw UPG nun and he was reconsidered! Dahil sa kanya, I got an ounce of hope na baka makapasa din ako. My UPG is 2.385 btw. Hayy ang hirap nga talaga. Pero I'm already enrolled sa UST, still I'm hoping for UP Manila. We'll never know... Diba? Just hoping, regardless of the expectations. Ang hirap eh. Lols drama. =))))

Btw, I'm glad that I saw this post and found someone who understands my situation. If you won't mind, what's your fb or twitter perhaps?

Kahit na medyo may kababaan yung UPG ko, umaasa pa rin ako. Pero nung nalaman nga namin ng friend ko na pati siya ay hindi narecon, aww! Mas bumaba ang chance ko. Try mo tumawag or pumunta. Kasi, may resulta na. Malay mo, narecon ka na. Feeling ko puro 2.3-- ang mga narecon ee. Sabi nila, try daw naming bumalik next week kung may lalabas pa daw na results. BOOM! Aasa na naman tuloy ako niyan. Aabangan ko next week. Someone said na papatak-patak nga raw ang resulta. Even if the classes have started, they still accept recon. If ever, I'll try to pull-out my credentials. You try, too. Hope to see you there. Actually, sobrang mataas ang chance mo marecon.

Yup I tried pero sabi lang sakin try ko daw next week kasi ayun nga, may lalabas pa daw. Nope nope, alumni na ako. Hehe. Pero technically student pa ako... kasi nagma-Master's naman ako ngayon, sa UPM pa rin hehe. Thesisssss.

From an alumni perspective, maganda makapasok sa UP because of the oppurtunities and the life lessons. Pero hindi naman dapat mabahala kung di makapasok sa UP, depende pa rin sa tao kung magsa-succeed sya after ng school kasi. Hehe.

Though fun lang talaga kausap yung mga taga ibang school minsan: Kung hindi ka nila rine-regard with awe, they're hating like trolls. Haha. Labo-ness. Di pwede i-regard as equal? Haha. Okay off topic na, sorry.

Also, tip ko lang: Kung mareconsider ka pero di mo naman gusto, as in di masikmura at matatagalan, ang course na mapapasukan mo, don't bother. Don't be blinded by the name of the University. Pursue what your passion is. Mas maganda yun. :P
