lahat ba ng gyms can accomodate all spectators? paano kung big games na? I don't agree with this one, kung noong FMC nga may gulo na.
neutral venues lang please.
Factors to consider before pushing through with a Home & Away format:
1. VENUE/HOME GYMS
> Are the gyms well-maintained? Do they pass standards?
> Can it accommodate enough spectators from both sides plus their respective cheering squads?
> Is the venue accessible for both fans coming from public and private vehicles?
> Locker Rooms for both sides?
> Will it disrupt students who have classes if the venue is situated at the heart of the campus?
> Is the venue easily covered by AKTV for NCAA viewers on TV?
SECURITY
> Is there adequate personnel to prevent a melee for all schools?
> Will the league provide additional or auxiliary police to all schools?
> Will they ban spectators from drinking while watching like in San Juan Arena?
> Can they extend security measures from the venue to the parking lot?
LOGISTICS
> Can AKTV cover games from two different Home venues one after the other?
> Can AKTV balance both H&A coverage game plus a pro basketball game afterwards?
I can see some good points about this format but I don't see it feasible for basketball games, but maybe for other sports. Or they could utilize this format for pre-season training like the HAIL. Maybe like an NCAA B-League for the transferees and recruits. MANCOM will have to do their homework about venues, and there are 10 home venues that must be established first.![]()
Seriously?Ngayon pa talaga naisip na gawin to after what happened?
Knowing the incident that happened on San Beda gym!
I don't think this is a good idea!
For the preservation of PEACE in the NCAA, let's stick with the current format.![]()
not all schools may gym na maayos
siguro home and away yung tipong kung anong mas convenient para sa home team na neutral arena like kunwari SBC, JRU, SSC-R and etc. sa The Arena tapos yung Letran, CSB, UPHSD and etc. sa MOA arena, parang ganun. Gets ba? o sabog pagka-explain. hahahaha
I g0t what your saying, kumbaga yung schools na malapit sa The Arena & Big Dome, yun yung magiging Home nila. Then schools near SM MOA & Cuneta, yun yung magiging Home nila. tama ba yung interpretation ko?
maganda yan if they can assure us na wala nang mangyayaring brawl katulad nung nangyari sa baste & sbc last december. tipid yan lalo sa mga magkakatabing schools. yun nga lang, not all schools have a descent gym that can accommodate all the spectators. siguro maganda yung Home & Away format kapag weekdays yung games tapos kapag weekends dun na tayo sa SM MOA ARENA or sa Big Dome.

If you have a picture of your gym kindly post here. Maganda yung weekdays home and away para sa mga students at yung weekend naman sa alumni, fans and students din.
I think I get what you're trying to say here. It's like a North vs South/East vs West H&A format. But it could complicate the Dark & Light uniforms for each team if the schedule does not necessarily follow the H&A Venue format. So yes, it's going to be sabog if not well-planned.![]()
MANCOM will have to fix the whole sched for the 1st round and then adjust accordingly by Round 2. And of course, Round 2 is another matter altogether if teams do not have enough time to rest. I do believe the schedule from last season's 2nd round was not exactly accepted without complaints by some schools.![]()
I really wonder what will gonna happen if Baste will play at St. Placid and San Beda @ Letran..hahaha.. at syempre sa ibang schools din kung mangyari man ang home and away siguradong laging puno ang venue at masaya!
Our gym in CSB is not exactly spacious if I remembered it correctly. It doesn't have a 2nd floor either for extra spectators. I think the maximum capacity for our gym is around 200-400. And I think the years have not been kind to the place since it was created back in the mid-90's. Most of our PE classes were held there besides the wrestling for slots of other athletes in other sports that have their training within it. And since it is situated right at the heart of our Main Campus, a lot of classes will have to be disrupted. And they can't accommodate most of the Benildeans who would be disrupted either.
Not unless the school acquired a new property and created a Sports Building like DLSU did. I think if CSB opted to renovate the RMC (which I believe to be a risky thing with PSC), they will have a venue that they can call their HOME. For sentimental reasons of course, that's where we first got our crown.
And again I'm concerned for AKTV's coverage if this format pushes through. 4 teams will have to share a HOME venue for a particular day or two HOME venues? Logistically not feasible. Added expense on their part since they will cover other sports or the juniors as well. But MOA-Cuneta and San Juan-Araneta would be a nice set-up for H&A if MANCOM can fix the schedule and AKTV doesn't object.![]()

this will not happen sa basketball games. security nightmare yan.
Integrate the school loyalty and fanaticism in other ways wag yung "NIREREQUIRED" sila manood para sa grades. And promote it to the alumni by giving season passess or watever gimiks or promos they can give.
other things to consider is yung parking. lahat ba ng schools kaya mag accommodate ng magpapark na auto sa lobo or sa labs ng campus? also young security though NCAA will have its own naman during games diba.
MOA Arena and The Arena will do.
^ according to my bro (hrim), papatayuan daw ng bagong building but how i wish it would be a sports complex, parang pang-masters something daw para sa mga hrim studes yun purpose nun..
Baby steps muna tayo!
Anyway going back to the topic at hand, it would be better if the neutral venues act as home and away turfs but for the moment, we will have to rely on the Dark vs Light schedule so as to avoid confusion. Geographically speaking, we have to establish schools that will represent the south/west or north/east and their locations are not exactly not far apart.
Can we first define where the 10 schools are located through this thread?
