    @dikonaalam

I've heard the AHPRA takes about 4-6 months to assess me. My IELTS is already expired and it was only 6.5 anyway so I'll be taking it again sometime this April. You mentioned that AHPRA accepted your application by just proving them that your nursing education was done in English. What kind of evidence do I need to send? I am planning to send my AHPRA now and just to follow up my ielts

I've heard that AHPRA takes about 4-6 months at most to process me. I want to send my application form right away to save time. Problem is my IELTS is already expired so I'll be retaking it sometime this April or May. Can I send my AHPRA now and just to follow up my IELTS score?

No, I said AHPRA used to accept applications without IELTS if they can prove that their nursing program was done in English. NOW they want ALL applicants to have IELTS Score of at least 7 on all subtest (except US, UK, Canada, NZ, Ireland nurses). I submitted my application with my IELTS score.

I think you can submit your application and follow up your IELTS. But they will not do anything with your application if your documents are not complete.

i think that would also depend on what visa you will use for your BP.
There are 2 choices for the BP, the short stay visa and the student visa.

I am not familiar with them but I know there are visas that won't let you apply for another visa while in Australia. You need to go back to the Philippines and apply.

But if in case you are allowed, the fastest route is the 457 visa (working visa valid up to 4 years). Other options can be found on Australian immigration's dedicated page for nurses:

It's not the same. AHPRA is for nursing registration. You cannot practice as a nurse if you are not registered with AHPRA.

ANMAC (formerly ANMC) is for skills assessment for immigration. You'll need this for permanent residency application.

If you intend to work under the 457 visa (work visa), then you'll only need your registration from AHPRA.

I would do the AHPRA registration first.
    God bless.

    confused

this thread has been very informative, but i'm really having a hard time filling out the AGOS-40 form, like the residential place and the principal place of practice as I have no definite plans where to reside in Australia, let alone a place to reside. The proof of identity requirements mostly are documents issued in australia which I don't have, so i think it'll be hard to comply. Can anyone enlighten me, there's gotta be something wrong in my interpretation of the form...

Question re "submitting applications to any AHPRA office"

    Hello!

Sorry to butt in, but I've been doing a little research about what to do when planning to register as a licensed nurse in Australia and I happened to read this post which so far has been very informative, thank you so much! But I have been thinking about the submission of the application and other requirements, it was said that it should be submitted to any AHPRA office. How should I do that? Should I ask somebody I know who's in Australia to submit it for me?

Thank you so much for taking some time to read my question!

hi you could send it via courier, using the AHPRA office address in which state you want to send it to or by philpost using the P.O. Address.

Hi, there are some nurses without experience who underwent bridging program based from another forum but problem will be the schools that offers the said program because most of the schools requires at least 2 years experience. Nevertheless, you can still
try though to get a first hand information about this. You might get lucky and find a school who accepts applicants without experience provided that they have an approval form aphra. By the way, 3 mos
volunteer experience will do for some
    schools.

Hi All, beware of choosing self declared so called migration consultancy in the Philippines. In the Australian law ONLY registered migration agent are allowed to give migration advice in any circumstances. If you are looking for someone who can help you for your success in migrating in the Australia I would advice to check the MARA website www.mara.gov.au to see if they are legally registered to give migration advice.

Don’t be fooled by those migration consultancy firms or even bar passer lawyer in the Philippines charging a lot of your hard earned money giving migration advice simply because they are NOT qualified professional, if onshore this will be considered as FRAUD. They are taking advantages of the deregulated law in this field in the Philippines.

Even if, some firms they have a so called partner registered migration agent (RMA) onshore this is against RMA code of conduct, particularly if you only discussing your case to its Philippines counterpart please see (https://www.mara.gov.au/ArticleDocum...20Yin.pdf.aspx).

RMA are professionals who attained Australian post graduate education in migration law and practice and they do continuing professional development to enhance their expertise throughout the year this is required to enable them to renew their license.

Someone will say when they applied for their Australian visa they are required to passed this certain documents and etc. but this is not always the case migration regulation changes countless of time every year, and that someone’s identical case might not be the same case as yours.

To pay for RMA or to research/do it you own, it is always up to us on how we want to gamble everything in our life.

hi.. most schools require 2years or more hospital experience and limited number of schools that require less. i did have 1yr and 3 mos work experience in a trertiary hospital yet i had a hard time finding a school kahit na ok yung IELTS ko. so i suggest that you get enough hospital experience first. or just undergo the certificate programs for aged care. yun po di nagrrequire ng work experience.

    hope this helps.
