hehehe i know you guys think i'm snotty but The Limited is so..hmm..Blah? never really liked their stuff...i don't like the material they use for their clothes and their style and the fit, i don't know..it's just weird..at least a year behind the fashion shows ..I'm just very picky on how my clothes hang on my body and i like a certain look and cut that i can only find in my favorite designers and stores. for me kasi, a denim jacket isn't just a denim jacket..it has to have a certain "hulog" that i look for and a pair of black capris isn't just any black capris from any other store...I am just lucky that i can be very picky with my clothes because of the plethora of stores and designers available here in NYC. It's both sad and very elating to find exactly what you saw in Vogue or InStyle on the street or in a store. it's just a matter of preferrence where we shop hehe but of course, this is just my opinion and look where i am now? broke

    newest find:
key blouson top in mint green from marc jacobs...i hate marc jacobs i want everything in his collection!!!

trinity: Yup, I agree, it IS a matter of preference but not everyone can afford to satisfy them So, hanggang tingin na lang (w/ matching drool) sa Vogue and Instyle And speaking of denim jacket - I bought one from Marc Jacobs when I was in New York - it was so pricey that I felt really guilty right after I bought it. But the fabric's great and it fits me real nice. I get compliments whenever I wear it. And a denim jacket will never really go out of style and it matches well w/ almost everything - skirts, pants, dresses, etc. So for me, it's a great investment

EARL JEANS FOR $29?!!!!! Nakakainis ka!!!! I bought mine for almost four times that price?!! San lupalop ka ba sa New York nag sho-shop?? Para i know na where to buy when I go there this December! And those Marc Jacobs shirts...$20?! GRRR. I bought my denim jacket for $170 - that's expensive na talaga for me.

i have my leads you just have to be patient and observant...tendency kasi is to avoid the "chi-chi" stores but they have sales all the time!! I got my YSL rive gauche(the one designed by Tom Ford) at saks for just around a 100 and the original is 600!!! i also got my chloe halter(the one worn by gwyneth with the indian choker type thing on the neck) for 50 dollars and i got the chloe horse dress(the rage last season) for 150 from the original 800 the next time you're in new york, check out intermix and scoop. also try bergdorf, saks, barneys, henri bendels, jeffrey...even the flagship stores down in soho..marc jacobs along mercer, kors along mercer, costume national along spring, kate spade at mercer cor broome, jil sander at west broadway to name a few.

in season clothes are really expensive..the marc jacobs denim jacket i just bought last week(the edwardian inspired jacket) cost me an arm and a leg but it's well worth it. i love the cut and the look...call me vain and babaw but it's really a thrill to be able to dress like people you admire

haha smuggler? di naman...clothes-obsessed person lang naman. i wish i was skinny though because a LOT of the stuff i see would look great on 5'10 size 0 girls (can we say skinny 5'10 giant with no soul? calling natasha!!) i know places that have sample sales..like designers sell the stuff they have from their fashion shows worn by the models for below market value. and of course, the much awaited end of season sales by Barneys. I can't wait to get back there this weekend!! great steals. nakaka iyak sa ganda.

hehe call me ignoramus, but what's SEE? is it a new store?

Hehehe, just wanted to say, those shirts I mentioned in the very first post came in the mail the other day! One's kinda like a muscle tee and one's sort of off-shoulder. Hehehe talaga bang not following seasonal trends, heheheh. Hey tr|n|ty, if it's great to be able to dress like someone you admire, then I guess my idol right now is Joan Jett!

and i guess i'm one of them hanggang magazines lang! that's why i have tons of Vogues & Elles & Madamoiselles etc!

well it would be easier to shop (without the guilt) if i was earning dollars and buy my dream designer clothes in NY/Chicago/ Paris. believe me, it will be easier for me...tee-hee...when i shop, i can't help but convert it to pesos so, i end up not buying THE CLOTHES THAT I REALLY REALLY WANT!

i dig yah when you are meticulous about the material used and the fit of the clothes...i mean, dapat lang naman diba? kaso nga lang, not all people can afford that kasi. me, i get the chance to go to PARIS/LA/SANFO/NY/CHICAGO/HAWAII but i don't spend much on clothes. i mean, when i shop, okay lang when i convert the prices of what i bought in PESOS. but if i buy the stuff... homaygawd! i'll go home broke and i won't have any more savings left! haha!

like the last time i shopped, $285 something for 15 items (shoes/bags/clothes0...kay 1 bag lang yun...sheesh...

if i'm earning $$$ siguro, my salary now tapos lagyan lang ng dollar sign...hahahaha....i would be soooooooo at ease and i would have fun shopping at the stores you guys you are shopping at!

    hihi..in my opinion lang...

    tr|n|ty
sabi nga ni jean sakin before, kung punta daw ako ng NY, ikaw daw hatakin ko mag-shopping eh! haha! sobrang expert ka kasi! ever! *masahe*

actually, seldom do i buy 250 dollars worth for a single item unless it's what i really want. if that's the case, i save up for it. and as i said in my posts, it's just a matter of preference and patience if you do really want a certain thing. as for not able to afford certain "luxuries", well it's always like that..to each his own. neither can i afford everything that i want.

i hear yah girl. lucky you. you have the "dough" to buy those stylish clothes and also you were exposed living in a city where FASHION begins! i mean, to be able to buy and wear what i actually see on vogue and the likes???? wow!
i hope one day, i'll be able to that too...shop around NYC na halos memoriado ko na yung store locations and sale season ng bawat store

    ---

i haven't bought anything NEW yet...i'll post my new acquisition as soon as i have bought it na! ta-ta!
