ROCKET INTERNET is a very poor company.
Only offering 10k as their package.
Office is not good also as well as the HR or should I say receptionist.
Hindi noh! Pinakamababang offer for IT will be for the Retouchers or Graphic Designers which is around 16,500. PHP Devs are all ranging 30k and up. Everyone is experienced so you WOULDNT expect anyone to receive a real low package. Bleh!
Im even receiving near 50K considering that Im only some 2 years of experience.
Developer ka ba jan ? may offer din kasi sakin .. di ko pa alam kung iaacept ko
shifting schedules ba sila?
Hahaha! I really don't think its a good company. Office was located at the small corner of Makati! Office was really not good and dirty. Feels like you're in a market!
To give you a background check, Rocket Internet is a well-known company in Germany. They own the well-known websites such as Wimdu, Groupon, Zalora and etc. Kilala sila sa ibang bansa especially in Europe countries. Dito lang hindi.
They're just new here in the Philippines. Nag-invest sila dito sa Philippines. Dahil bago pa lang sila dito sa Pinas. Hindi pa gaanong maayos lahat. I've heard na lumipat na sila sa Mandaluyong from Makati. And soon lilipat ulet sa 'mas magandang' office daw in Pasig. Medyo marami daw silang hinahanap na experienced na IT at maganda daw talaga ang offer ha! ;-)
Dahil bago pa lang sya dito sa Pinas, di pa uso office politics at medyo magulo pa sistema. Pero inaayos na. I've a friend working here and he told me na maganda naman daw. Btw, he's working 3 months already in the company. ;-)
Been hearing bad stuff about Rocket Internet... found this blog on the net. It seems they are trying to "lighten" the team.

I've applied with Rocket Internet at March. The recruiter told me that I passed, and I was asked to return the next day for the job offer. Along with that, I was also asked to have my pre-employment medical exam.
The next day, I took the medical exam first, spending ~400 pesos in the process. In the afternoon, I was disappointed to hear that they're taking back the job offer, wasting every effort and money I dedicated to that company.
Well, that was months ago. I don't know if their management and recruitment process has improved. Nonetheless, I'll never attempt to submit my resume to that company again.
