Yup. Regular din ako nanonood nun. Lagi puno yung Sentrum.

I remember that Ginebra game. First time naglaro ng Ginebra sa Lipa.

    In a Batangenyo accent:

    1. Mabuhay ang Santo Papa!

Born and raised. Nag-Manila lang nung nag-college, nag-work for a few years sa Manila, missed home, went back home to set up a business here.

Carlo crawling out of the LRT Taft Avenue?

It's actually kinda exciting and disturbing at the same time. The league's transition and schedule is exciting no doubt, but AKTV is also keen on wooing the UAAP to change channels. When that happens, we could be changing again, but I'm not sure if we will be happy or frustrated again. But for the moment, I will savor this change!

How to make NCAA better ?

get rid of current mancom reps. instead get people who are not connected to any member schools so they can make decisions independently and without bias. current set up sucks.

  4. #44
the out of town games proposal is better than the home and away.

AKTV is really making NCAA better if magtuloy tuloy lahat ito.

pwedeng pwede ang NCAA games sa sunday before UAAP, at least sure NCAA sa Araneta or MOA arena.

I remember, umiyak pa si Bianca Saldua (the Perpetual CSR) after the game ended. Maganda at classic talaga. Sayang hindi ito pinalabas.
kahit in the past seasons, maraming hindi televised na good games sa NCAA.

I wonder how basketball fans and sports writers nga lang will prioritize watching 1st?

ganda ng larong ito, dito din lumakas loob ng Perpetual, everyone thought before this game na Perpetual will be the worst team in NCAA

  8. #48
And with coach Aric del Rosario at the helm, mas magiging maganda ang tsansa ng Perpetual to be a competitive team. Depends on the players he will recruit.

UAAP's contract with ABS expires in 2015 pa. So if AKTV wants to get the UAAP, it will have to wait until 2016.

    From Mr. Anthony Servinio.

How true is it that the new television contract reached by the NCAA is not yet finalized? The word is that if ever San Beda leaves or is removed from the league, the deal will not push through.

Posturing lang yan ng ilang tao from the community of SBC.

Pero in the few occasions a person of authority from SBC is quoted, walang ganyang pasaring na aalis sila.

This is kinda off-topic but anyway, does anyone know when AKTV will air the NBTC SeaOil HS all-star game?

San Beda is appealing to balance the suspensions of its players so that they will show up with at least 8 players in a game. Depends on the Policy Board if that will be granted.

SBC hasn't formally and officially lodge an appeal.

Imo, SBC will not make that appeal.

I am more inclined to believe there will be backroom discussions on how to lower the penalties without the Board and MANCOM losing face in public.

They have no choice kundi baguhin at babaan ang penalties. Pero paano kung walang appeal?

Ang pinaka-problemang punto dito ay ang 2-year suspension on Ola and Armon of the Red Lions.

If after that appeal and the Board says it is reduced to 1-year, papayag ba SBC?

Malabo. Kahit two game suspension nga ay discrimatory given that the homegrown players were just meted 1 game suspensions.

That appeal "estopped" SBC in taking further action. They have to submit to the Board and its final decision on the matter.

The lawyers of SBC are too wise to paint themselves into a corner.

Pero kung sa backroom discussions ay mapagkasunduan na ibaba sa 1 or 2 or game suspension ang parusa kina Ola at Armon on the condition SBC files a formal appeal, then I will be inclined to believe SBC will make that appeal. But.... only after.... the NCAA Board and MANCOM is subpoena by the CHR, imo.

Alas ng SBC yung kaso sa CHR.

Ever wondered why they just didn't appeal and instead went to the CHR?

At another forum, it was shared that to file for a TRO now is too early since matagal pa ang opening ng S88 at may taning ang isang TRO, usually 30 days.

Can anyone imagine the NCAA Board, through it's current Chairman Fr.Lana or it's immediate past Chairman Dr.Cercado, facing a Human Rights Commission explaining its 2 year suspension on Ola?

They'll avoid that if possible, imo.

Pag sinuong nila yan, they are stupid if they think they will come out unscathed in CHR hearing.

Pride + Stupidity + Greed = KABOOM! Racist decision! How in this age and why priests and Heads of Learning Institutions decided a Racist decision? What motivated them, well for Letran it's pretty clear to protect being the winning most Men's Basketball Team in the NCAA but for the others, surprising. May I know what schools voted for this decision so the parents may know what kind of education their children are getting from these institutions?

to make NCAA better? sana may manood naman ng games from other schools. sobrang konti nanonood meaning they're not interested sa team ng school nila. siguro they were thinking na mananalo naman yan...sa lobo ng board room. i hope other NCAA schools will try to step up their campaign internally, to bring back the interest of their students and alumni. super eyesore pag televised yung game and sobrang konti ng nanonood. nakakaawa din yung players of course its a moral booster for them being cheered by their supporters.

I think holding out of town games isn't a good idea. The players are students as well and bringing them to provincial games may affect their classes and studies. Also, it could deprive students from member schools a chance to watch games dahil malayo. Before they even think of increasing fan base in the province, increase muna nila yung gate receipts from their students...NCAA is not PBA! If they really want to get nationwide attention then they should establish Visayas-Mindanao-North Luzon divisions. Tapos top teams from each division will dispute the National crown. It's the only way to get national reach...kung PBA nga eh di minsan puno ang out of town games eh...NC pa kaya

I disagree, look at the pccl @ Ormoc. Its between 2 NCAA teams Stags and Knights and the venue was full.

may kasaling team from Ormoc sa PCCL that's why
