Secret Circle’s Phoebe Tonkin Is Crossing Over to The Vampire Diaries



Guess who’s having the best week ever? Phoebe Tonkin (Faye Chamberlain)! If we can’t have Secret Circle back, at least we have the wicked witch on Vampire Diaries now. That’s right. E! Online reports the Australian actress will join the cast in Season 4.

Phoebe will play Hayley. Not that we’re Nostradameus or anything, but we actually called this casting when we read that the 19-year-old character is “wildly sexy” and has a connection to Tyler (Michael Trevino).
Hayley will show up in Mystic Falls in Season 4, Episode 3, so Caroline (Candice Accola) could get a little jealous — the newcomer and Tyler definitely have a past. Tyler should have his own body back at that point, so he probably won’t be a puppet in any of Klaus’s (Joseph Morgan) “naughty high jinks” as far as Hayley is concerned, but who knows what kind of trouble she’ll stir up. Phoebe is just so good at playing bad!

Plus, it’ll be awesome to see her go up against another resident bad girl: Rebekah. Claire Holt and Phoebe have been best friends since their mermaid days on H2O: Just Add Water.
