MANILA, Philippines - Will Vilma Santos-Recto seek a higher government post?

Although the actress-turned-politician is thankful that she made it to the magic 13 of Pulse Asia's May 20 to 26, 2012 survey on senatorial bets for the 2013 polls, she told News 5 on Thursday that she would rather seek reelection as third-term governor of Batangas.

Having two Rectos in the Senate is already too much, according to the 58-year-old wife of Sen. Ralph Recto, saying that there are already too many politicians in Congress who are relatives.

On the issue of her son entering politics, Vilma said that she agrees with ex-husband Edu Manzano in dissuading Luis from seeking public office.

On Jennylyn Mercado's joining Gabriela, Recto-Santos said that she would extend her support to Luis' girlfriend if she believes that being a member of the women's group would help her.

para sa akin ay tama naman talagang tapusin niya muna ang kanyang term as governor..
marami pa siyang di tapos na project sa batangas na labis na nakakatulong sa mga constituents niya.
