There is a website that has posted yet another 'article' about obviously, me. I want to assure you all that there is absolutely no truth to this. Halos lahat ng pinopost niya sa akin since last year kasinungalingan. Proof? Balikan nyo at basahin ang mga naunang posts nya about me na blind items pa pero obvious naman ako. My bosses text me all the time and we are very happy with the show. All new shows struggle in the beginning because televiewers have developed habits that you have to pray you are able to change and it takes time to get used to watching a new show regularly until it too, becomes a habit of viewers. Nagtatrabaho lang naman po ako, hindi ko pa sya nami-meet kaya di ko alam kung sino ang nag-uutos/nagrerequest/nagbabayad? sa kanya para laging ako ang favorite nyang i-blind item. Ang dami na nyang nasulat na di nangyari kasi di totoo. Di ko alam kung may source sya or ang special lang ng imagination nya. Or baka dream nya maging si Ricky Lo or Dolly Ann? Sana makilala ko sya, para lang sana kilalanin nya muna ako bago nya ako siraan. Iniisip ko na lang, di ko na papatulan kasi di nya ako kilala as a person. And who knows why certain people choose to make a living or try to be famous at the expense of others? Okay lang. Give the issue time and you'll see who's making up stories all the time. This doesn't affect me, btw. Matagal na ako sa showbiz, I've been thru worse. And besides, di naman ako ang nagmumukhang katawa-tawa at masama pag lumalabas na ang totoo. Never ako pumatol sa posts nya noon pa. May mga nagtweet lang na nag-aalala sa mga naisulat nyang bago kaya nilinaw ko. After all, this is a page for SHARONIANS. And you guys deserve to hear it from me straight. God is in control.:-) Nothing can ruin my happiness with my family and friends and fans, sorry! Goodnight again for the nth time, dear tweeties! Tonight, my kakie, yellie, & salingpusa miguel watched the dvd of the boy band they're crazy about: ONE DIRECTION. So much fun! Gugie singing along! Then my hubby Kiko grilled some tenderloin steak for us (he's mastered grilling steaks!), sauteéd portobello mushrooms in garlic,
and some green beans. Yum. Hardest part of tonight? Kakie, Miel & Mig sleeping together in Mig's room where they have their own beds, and Miel crying cos Daddy wouldn't let them sleep in the masters' tonight, asking mama to put her to sleep as usual, and while mama's putting her to sleep, gugie's crying for mommy to put him to sleep in his bed too! Haaayyyyy... Now beside kakie. Happy to be so loved by my babies! And I am so kilig that my children make me pag-agawan! I don't want them to grow up na pero ayoko naman ng anak na parang tyanak. Hahaha!

TV5 stands by Sharon’s show

TV5 is not cancelling Sharon Cuneta’s two-month old show, “Sharon: Kasama Mo, Kapatid.”

Perci Intalan, head of the Kapatid Network’s creative and entertainment production group, stressed this after a blind item stated that the Megastar’s show will be axed soon.

“The network is behind Sharon. Her show has just been launched and we are due to meet Sharon to get her inputs this week or next. She just came back from a month-long stay in Vancouver (Canada),” Intalan said.

The TV5 executive surmised that the cancellation rumor surfaced because Sharon has been away for a month after taping episodes of her show in advance. Intalan added that those behind the blind item concluded that the station has given up on the show since Sharon was not able to tape its other episodes.

Challenging

Intalan admits the 4:30 p.m. time slot of Sharon’s show is “challenging” and she’s “building her own audience” in the non-primetime hours where soaps reign supreme.

He concedes that the network is still “finding our footing” in getting ordinary people to share their stories to Sharon.

“Ang gaganda ng storya nila,” he notes. “Pero pagsalang nila at si Sharon na ang kausap, they get starstruck. Kailangan naming hugutin ang salita nila. Pero madaldal sila pag kausap ang segment producer.”

But he is optimistic the show will get over this hump once the man or woman on the street gets used to seeing Sharon interview the common “tao.”

“Hopefully, magiging mas madali sa kanila kung expected na nila na si Sharon ang kakausap sa kanila,” Intalan explains.

He adds that Sharon’s program can’t be like “Face to Face”, another TV5 show which features heated arguments between two opposite camps.

“Hindi pwede si Sharon sa sensationalized or controversial format na ganon. Hindi investigative (ang show). Binabagay din namin ito sa image ni Sharon.”

Ratings are written as POINTS, not percentages (that's for audience share). Kaya ill-informed ang iba dito.

AGB should also include the estimated number of viewers, just like what is being done in the US, UK, and Australia. That can be calculated by multiplying the rating with a constant.

As for Sharon's falling ratings, it all boils down to content--not necessarily on the network because TV5 has shows that reach double digits.

As a highly-accomplished and multi-awarded artist, Sharon Cuneta has undoubtedly gone through challenges beyond the ordinary for an individual. Throughout decades of nurturing her career and personal life, Sharon has proven that her exceptional talent coupled with her admirable resiliency has rightfully earned her the title, “Megastar”.

Indeed, Sharon has displayed her acting chops across all genres, engaged audiences with her gift of gab in talk shows, and of course serenadedFilipinos with her timeless music. It seems there is little that she has not accomplished in her chosen path. But her most challenging role so far might be of a surprise to those who know her little.

“Being a mom is hard – the hardest job in the world,” Sharon confesses. Referring to her children, she has, to this role, devoted no meager effort.

Her innate ability as a mother is undeniable just by watching her NIDO Fortified commercials with her two younger daughters Frankie and Miel. Sharon’s children have all been raised and nurtured before the eyes of the public – a feat that only a strong and supportive mother could have managed.

And where does Sharon draw this strength? “I have the best children in the world,” Sharon gushed. “I am most grateful to have the honor of being their mother.”

And learning and acquiring good values seem to have always been an essential part of her life, which is something Sharon learned from her own mother, Elaine Gamboa-Cuneta. True enough, Sharon attributes much of what she knows about parenting to her mom, who was “sometimes strict, but always within reason.” And now that she is a mother herself, Sharon has come to understand and appreciate her mother better; especially during the challenging times they had in the past.

“We’re both bull-headed and strong-willed,” Sharon said on her likeness to her mother. “But more than that, she has a very good heart, which is something I believe I got from her. I definitely got her generosity and love for family.” Sharon also shared that her mother made sure that she and her kuya were able to experience most of everything and taught them how to behave in any situation.

Likewise, with her younger daughters growing up quickly, Sharon continues to strive to give her daughters the best experiences they can have for them to grow up “healthier, smarter, and stronger.” She also added, “Of course, none of these can be possible without my making sure they are in good health too and so I start with good nutrition. I know that NIDO Fortified is able to do that, and it makes me happy and secure in giving it to them everyday.”

I have to admit that though I am enjoying my show with TV5, I sometimes still cannot help crying, missing my real friends & family over at ABS-CBN. 23 years in my system cannot just be erased - there is no ON/OFF switch to delete memories & relationships... I miss Tita Charo, Boss Gabby, Inang Olive Lamasan, Tita Malou, Garlic, Ian, Gerrome, and all staff members of all my show. I miss the 14th floor, 9501, my dressing room, my TSCS and Sharon 1 & 2 shows' studios... I miss home... But I know there is a reason for all this. My bosses know why I left, so yung mga intrigero dyan, ingat sa pagcomment sa di nyo naman naiintindihan... I grew up there.. But we have to move on &rise up to new challenges... Be happy for me.. My missing my Kapamilya will never go away.. But my TV5 kapatids are taking care to give me also only the best. It's a journey I hope I have you to take along for the ride. Karen, I miss you. Bing & Justine mga anak, Chiqui, atbp. Mahal na mahal ko kayo. Maybe one day I'll migrate and work for TFC. :-)

Last Sat. KC and our whole family were watching X-Factor together..& when I saw the ABS logo... My red, blue & green circles, I started crying, having another "moment." Hay nako. I didn't know that there was no signal for cellphones or wi-fi inside the New Bilibid Prison. I was there since after lunch and just finished taping. I was so happy because I was inside maximum security and EVERYONE was so warm & not not one person/inmate made me bastos even from afar. In fact, mas nakaramdam ako ng pagmamahal at respeto mula sa mula sa kanila kesa sa ibang tao sa labas. And then I got inside my bus, answered KC's call on my phone & while we were talking, my Exec. Producer Crissy came to me and very gently told me na "Wala na siya..." My Tito Dolphy. The King King of Comedy. A good father. Loving & devoted to ZsaZsa. Extended help to whoever needed it, and QUIETLY. God brought him home not just to release him from his pain & suffering, but because He had lent Tito Dolphy to us for too long a time and wanted him home. I'm sure the Lord missed him. As I am sure we all will, from now on... Rest in peace, my beloved Tito Dolphy. I will continue to do my best to follow the beautiful example you set for all of us, even when you didn't know it. I love you from the bottom of my heart. I miss you sooooo very much already. Showbiz has again lost one of its its handful of truly talented and most decent members. You left us with so few who are like you. Your leaving has just made us all realize all the more how much we love you. We will never forget you. Rest in God now, Tito. Pls say 'hi' to my to my Daddy and my two babies when you see them. I love you.

i watched some episodes lately. in fairness ok sya. this show fits her. i've been thinking sharon should do shows na makabuluhan considering her age, stature in showbiz and the wife of a senator, even if i never liked kiko as a politician.

i like the fact na hindi lang celebrities ang guests nya. ordinary people who have good stories to tell. i hope they'll continue this. ok rin ang pacing. it's not boring. maganda ang interaction nya with the live audience. in the episodes i've seen ok rin ang questions na binabato nya. i look forward to see harder questions being asked.

i agree, other comments here that sharon is too giggly. ok rin lang naman sa akin since that's really her, at nadadala nya ang audience with her fun and light-heartedness. pero bawasan pa rin nya ang over excitement na sobra pa sa guests nya. dapat lang she should be in full control.

the episodes i've seen were more on the fun side. hopefully, once in a while may mga serious episodes din tackling serious and relevant topics. hopefully too, serious din si sharon with her bungisngis checked.

It's a sad, dark day for me and countless others as I am sure we still haven't accepted that Tito Dolphy is indeed, gone. Taping 3 episodes today. I couln't sleep when I got home last night like I planned to. Fell asleep 6am, was up 10. On my way to studio now. I am so not in the mood to work. Heart too heavy. And to think I was already highly stressed from all angles before this. I just want to lie down and cry. Am overwhelmed with stressors. Guess it really pours when it rains. No longer so much going on, but WAY TOO MUCH. Please say a prayer for me too, if you can. Thank you and love you. God bless us all.
