41 megapixel ..?? hows the experience .. imagine that.??
15mp was so good to me. ano p kaya *** 41mp.
Guys it's just 5MP, hindi 41MP. 41MP concentrated to 5MP kaya malinaw.
That is if you set it to 5MP Pureview. But you also have the option to leave it at 38MP (34MP for 16:9) if you actually want billboard sized pictures.

CNET
CNET’s Rich Trenholm was also one of the lucky ones that grabbed the chance to check out some sample photos on the device. “The devil is in the detail, and there's an astonishing level of detail in the finished pictures.” One of the benefits of PureView technology is that it lets you take photos that don’t suffer from loss of detail even when you zoom in. “Zoom into a photo with the usual pinching gesture of your fingertips. And keep pinching. And keep pinching -- pictures are so detailed you can zoom in on the smallest detail.”
Phone Arena
The guys at Phone Arena also noted this. “Probably the coolest thing about this high-resolution sensor, is that when you shoot in a standard 8MP or 5MP mode, you can actually zoom in without losing much quality,” adding “thanks to the giant sensor, this new Nokia allows you to zoom in up to 4 times without losing quality. Sounds great to us!”
TechRadar
As did the technology experts at TechRadar: “The picture quality is fantastic as well, with zooming in showing a decent level of detail with very little in the way of noise or pixellation.”

Nokia 808 PureView partner makes it unbeatable
Dolby reveals audio secret of new phone's success
March 1, 2012
For the PureView is also about pure audio thanks to its high-definition Dolby Digital Plus 5.1-channel surround sound which plays on HD TVs, and home theatre systems, and when combined with Dolby Headphone technology – also built into the PureView – provides a personal 5.1 surround experience over any headphones.
“You get a more natural, engaging, and authentic sound,” he said. “Good audio is even more important when you are watching a movie on a small screen. And Dolby Headphone creates a totally immersive feel.”

Nokia 808 PureView “way beyond anything we’ve ever done before” says Nokia's imaging guru
March 2, 2012
- On the 41-megapixel sensor
“It really is a 41-megapixel sensor. You can't just get one of these of the shelf. We had to develop this ourselves.
“The sensor is about five times in size than an 8-megapixel sensor in size used in other camera smartphones.”- On the Carl Zeiss optics
“We had to work really hard to be able to make this technology with the sensor really sing. Without high performance optics you really can’t make this work.
“The precision in these optics is up to 10 times greater than that in typical SLR lenses. The precision in is way beyond anything we’ve ever done before.”- On the benefits of having a 41-megapixel sensor
“We want to change the industry thinks of pixels. Ignore 41-megapixels for a second. Focus more on what you can do with those pixels. It’s incredible performance in a range of conditions even in low light.
“We take those 41-megapixels and give you 2 significant benefits. The first is incredible image quality - 5-megapixel images only 1MB in file size, which have significantly more detail than any other camera smartphone you’re going to find on the market.”- On why there is no optical zoom
“Optical zoom couldn’t do it for us. You can’t get high performance optical zoom in a device that fits in your pocket.”- On the Nokia 808 PureView’s outstanding photography skills
“The images are available on Flickr. You can download them and view them yourself. They look absolutely incredible. Even though I’ve been working with this project for 5 years. I still look at those images and it blows my mind. It’s incredible.”
