The following shows are in their development stages and may or might not make it on air this coming year:

Primetime:

Rancho Paradiso (Carla Abellana, Richard Gutierrez, Sarah Labahti) - Action/Romance

BFF - Jillian Ward and Mona Louise Rey (Mala-Casper The Friendly Ghost ata 'to with Mona as the ghost)

Koreanovela Remake - Forgot which one, sorry di ako ma-koreanovela, pero si Alden Richards yung lead (with Kris Bernal and Jackie Rice as possible leading ladies). Hopefully this will push through kaso lang GMA has been persistent with putting original shows in their Telebabad block.

Forever - don't know the story basta love story with a slight fantasy twist (might be headed by a tween actress or Kylie Padilla/Rhian Ramos).

WW2 Historical Drama - Love affair between a Japanese soldier/general and a Filipina spy (Possibly a Dennis Trillo-Lovi Poe/Bianca King team-up)

Murder Mystery - plot kind of reminds me of the 1st season of Desperate Housewives. They want a cast consisted of more established actresses but I can see this getting tweaked to get younger actresses. No proposed casting yet. - just remembered... Claudine Barretto (though mukhang very malabo ito) or a comeback vehicle for Sunshine Dizon.

Afternoon Prime:

Prinsesa Muchacha - prince and the pauper 'ata yung story - Louise delos Reyes

Crime drama - Actually 'di ako sure kung crime nga ito basta tungkol sa gangs or baka sa frat (Kristoffer Martin, Derrick Monasterio plus a couple of male tweens/newbies)

Religious drama - heavy drama about a girl na nagpapanggap na nakakikita ng religious apparitions for money - (possible leads: Sheena Halili, Jackie Rice/Bela Padilla... or they could go the tween route with Barbie or Bea)


Weekend Prime:

Protege Season 2 - Artista search na siya. Add Carla Abellana as host and Louie Ocampo to be replaced by Regine Velasquez. Possible mentors (in negotiations so far): Gina Alajar, Cesar Montano, Eula Valdez, Jean Garcia, Gina Parreno, Caridad Sanchez

Sweets for My Sweets - sitcom about a bake shop or at least baking. (Marian Rivera/John Lapus/Chef Boy Logro plus some tweens)

Betong sitcom

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun - group of girls na na-transport back to the 80s or women who time traveled to relive their youth (Possible leads: Eugene Domingo, Regine Velasquez)

Again, sa lahat ng na-mention ko probably only 20% will make it on air as they are. Baka makita natin sila in some other form with only a semblance of the original concept.

Rancho Paradiso is so 1990s. Sana maglevel-up yung setting though I see Carla as the mayaman girl and Sarah as the bait baitang probinsayana.

BFF. Pangprimetime ang cast pero parang pangpreprimetime ang story.

Koreanovela remake? I think this is more of Attic Cat. Hindi bagay kay Alden ang Coffee Prince.

Forever? I'm not liking the title. I think nararamdaman ko na ang story niya. Walang kamatayang pag-ibig.

WW2 Historical Drama? I'm not liking it. Hindi ito makakapick-up ng audience at nakakabore siguro ito. I'm not just interested on the topic.

Murder Mystery? Magandang concept pero pang dramarama ang feel ko dito.

Princess Muchacha and yung Crime Drama. Hindi ko masyado gusto but I think the religious drama is pangprimetime. Sheena Halili is already ripe for this.

Protege Season 2 looks exciting. Mukhang maganda ang set ng mentors.

Sweets For My Sweets looks good! Pero sana ibahin ang title, mas maganda.

Betong Sitcom? Seriously? Mas okay pa kung si Maey ang ilagay.

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun. Okay lang.

for me, the WW2 Historical Drama and the Murder Mystery sounds interesting especially if the stories are really gripping.

i think kakaiba yun WW2 drama on Pinoy TV and that would be interesting to watch. i dont think it would be boring kasi spy-action-drama genre ito and marami pwedeng gawing twists and turns sa kwento because of the spy element. Dennis looks very Japanese to me (but i think he's Chinoy) and i think he would fit the role plus he is such a versatile actor. Lovi Poe fits more the Pinay spy not unless gawin nilang American spy working for 'Pinas si Bianca King.

although, marami ng Murder Mystery dramas on TV, it sounds interesting pa rin since i like this genre and these always have a lot of mysterious twists and turns that will keep me interested kasi mystery nga eh. pero, sayang lang kung kay Claudine ibibigay ito kasi baka another Iglot ito and alam naman kung ano ang kinahinatnan nun. sana naman magbago na si Claudine if she knows what's good for her. I would really love to see Sunshine Dizon make a comeback in any soap for that matter. but, isn't she preggy again now?


i also like all the Afternoon Prime soaps and Weekend Prime shows. Nakakatuwa naman the Sweets for my Sweets sitcom of Marian-Sweet-Chef Boy Logro. as in, Chef Logro is branching out into acting ah. kunsabagay, panay pagpatawa naman nga nya sa cooking show nya kaya ibigay na ang isa pang hilig nya. but, i agree that the title needs to be changed kasi based on the title para naman mas show pa yan ni Sweet kaysa kay Marian eh.

what i don't like are - Rancho Paradiso and i'm not a big fan of Richard Gutierrez kasi. akala ko ba kakaibang drama ang gagawin nya. cowboy action genre ala Valiente ba ito? hmmm... too worn out theme for me. also, that Forever soap, di ko rin type. after My Beloved, are they still seriously repeating the same genre back to back? please naman, not another fantasy love story about eternity kasi ... again, too worn out na.

ang cute pa naman ng comedy chemistry ni marian and sweet. pero, magaling din si roderick and so, this marian-roderick comedy teamup is something new and fresh, which might click too!

besides, sweet is already included in richard's soap Makapiling Kang Muli...hmmm... mas dramatic na ang title compared to the mala-Valiente action type previous title. also, i think sweet also wants to work again w/ his longtime crush, dennis trillo, again. kasi that's what he said in some of his tweets.

meron na po ba kayong update re the World War 2 historical drama of Dennis, Lovi and Bianca? we're just wondering kung tuloy po ba ito and when or what quarter? thanks a lot po!

Lovi is a great actress but I want to see chynna with dennis. they're good in Legacy & i think GMA should give chynna a well deserved break

Unfortunately, World War 2 drama is dropped and they're now going for a Spanish period drama led by an established action star. Leading lady choices are between 2 starstruck alumnae and someone who has paid her dues in the afternoon drama block.

Religious drama is axed so is the frat/gangs serye.

Don't know if Prinsesa Muchacha is still a go since a telebabad show is in the works for Alden + Louise.

Bitoy/Ogie sitcom is also being formulated for the weekend lineup.

Oh.... Temptation of Wife remake is being pitched. Very preliminary stages. I think Jennylyn Mercado and Maxene are proposed to play the leads. Pero, I think this is just for Afternoon Prime. Since di approved yung Coffee Prince remake, there's a high chance na di to matuloy.
