THE ACTRESS
It's already Angel The Actress talking. I can tell as her face lights up while mentioning her projects slated this year, including a teleserye with Angelica Panganiban and three other movies. After her well-received rom-com hit, Unofficially Yours, opposite John Lloyd Cruz, Angel readies to take thje big screen anew with Bea Alonzo and Toni Gonzaga. "Matagal ko ng sinasabi na gusto ko silang makatrabaho" She becomes more animated talking about her dream project, "Dahil mahilig talaga ako sa action, sana makagawa ako ng war movie." It's funny that even through all these years in showbiz, she still remains enthusiastic about her craft.

Angel has learned to love the job that now, "Sa akin kasi, pag minahal mo yun trabaho mo, hinahanap-hanap mo yun," She says. "As of now, wala akong ma-imagine na trabaho kundi 'tong ginagawa ko."

THE BOMBSHELL
As I call her a 'sex symbol', her eyes communicate self-doubt, as if to say, "Am I really?" and her lips would purse, seemingly coming from a reluctance to even consider the fact.
Feeling awkward from my compliments, she finally says, "Di kasi ako yun nag e-effort magpasexy. Ako kasi, kung ano ako, i-ta-try kong ipakita."

Angel happy to work with Carmina again


WHEN Angel Locsin learned that Carmina Villarroel has been added to the cast of One More Try, which already included Dingdong Dantes, Zanjoe Marudo and Angelica Panganiban, she exclaimed: “parang reunion project namin ito ni Carmina."

“I’m glad I’ll be working with her again.”

Over at GMA 7, when they were both Kapuso, Angel said she has appeared with Carmina in a number of projects, both for movies and TV. And she found Carmina an engaging co-worker.

Shooting for the movie, which is Metro Manila Filmfest entry of ABS-CBN Productions this year, would have started yesterday (June 12). “Kaso,” Angel explained, “namatay ang father ni Direk Ruel (Bayani).

“Sayang nga, because on that first shooting day of One More Try, kasama sa kukunan si Carmina.

Angel’s role, as an Ilocano lass will require her to go on location sa Baguio City. Ganundin si Zanjoe, na gaganap bilang kanyang kababata, who is in love with her. Mai-in-love naman si Angel sa Baguio vacationist played by Dingdong Dantes.

“Kung may hahangaan ka sa pelikulang One More Try bukod sa cast, ito ay ang istorya nito.

“It’s not the usual love triangle, as the supposed other woman would not have minded if the man she loves and who happen to be the father of her child have decided to marry someone else, if not for a very important and between life and death matter.

“As I listened to the story during the story conference of the movie, gusto mo nang matapos na ito at nang mapanood na,” she stated.

Except for Carmina, One More Try will mark Angel’s first time to work with Dingdong, Zanjoe and Angelica. Especially with Direk Ruel as a director.
