    My Take

    OH1 Fille vs. Maru
    EVEN

    OH2 Valdez/De Jesus vs. Reyes/Lastimosa/Tunay
UST. mabilis mapagod si Valdez kasi at liability sa FloorD. though Ella can make pasabog but in a short period of time. The 3 Rookie Tigresses have lapses too pero pwede sila magikutan to replace on another kung off man ang isa. Tunay-Power, Gi-gulang, Pam- skills

    MH1 Ho vs. Ortiz
UST. Ho is improving kaya lang katapat niya ang #1 attacker of the league

    MH2 Nacachi/Tajima vs. Hirotsuji/De Leon-
UST. combined powers lamang ang Mia-Jessey duo, Mia was once named POG, dun ko nakita yung malalakas niyang palo at pwede niya ulit magawa yun. same with Jessey.

    Gervacio vs. Caballejo -
ADMU. Judy is peaking but Dzi is already there. I love her form, her ability to receive and block, and oh her consecutive Service aces.

    Ferrer vs. Dimaculangan
UST. in terms of setting evenly matched and 2 to, pero as an all around player Jem sometimes nagiging liability sa blocking at floorD unlike Rhea who also earn points sa Blocks...and service as well

    Lazaro vs. Morado
ADMU Kahit laglag ang laro ni denden I still believe she is one of the best Receiver ng UAAP

Attack-wise the stats are pointing to an obvious advantage for Banaticla. If there's one thing na pwedeng lumamang si Fille kay Maru it's defense, pero sa offense, it's Banaticla hands down, at least for this season.

She may not show emotion like Maru or Maika and pasmile smile lang pero she is very calm and very steady even under pressure. Don't mistake her meekness for weakness, I don't think even Bualee can psyche her out.

Oops. Kaya let's keep our words sweet just in case we have to eat them.

FEU has also gone toe-to-toe with DLSU in the 1st round although they still had Morada back then.

Let's see how the game on Saturday will go down. I'm hoping for a UST win in 4 sets although UST's floor defense is as unpredictable as the weather. Wishing for an injury-free game on Saturday! Good luck to both teams.
Well that is your opinion and what the basis? easy, just look at the standings and you will know.

On the comment of Banaticla, again another opinion that i beg to disagree.

Anyway, let the game speak for itself and then we will see who is right.

Oh, so you were referring to being toe-to-toe with DLSU with respect to the standings pala. I thought you were referring to being toe-to-toe with them in a game. Those two are very different kasi.

Yup! Stats won't really matter on Saturday, execution will. Good luck to our teams and no injuries.

We don't have to convince each of us here that UST is better, obviously Ateneo still has the upperhand in terms of cohesiveness. Dapat nga champion sila this season e.

  9. #49
ateneo has the advantage, twice to beat in fact :-D hahahaha!
consistency-wise, i think the lady eagles have the upper hand. but with last sunday's game (dlsu vs ateneo) where mental toughness (i'd say) had a significant effect on the outcome of the game, ust may pull out a win.

but then again, game 2 will definitely be a different story.

being a la salle fan, this is one game i will never fail to watch. ito yung tipong exciting na game na wala kang kinakampihan, walang kaba. goodluck to both teams. and yeah, no injuries and bad call please...

If we talk about season-long performance, then admu has the slight advantage. But there's no denying Ust improved in the 2nd round--not surprising for a team with lots of rookies who are still getting the hang of the big league.

Ust has the slight advantage in offense while admu is ahead in defense. This series is too close to call and should be interesting. Though I should note something about Ust's service: from dead last in the 1st rd, they now, together with DLSU, have the meanest serves.

Will admu's reception hold, particularly Valdez' and Gervacio's?

That, I believe, will spell the difference in the series.

P.S.: Admu is yet to win a match in the semis. Will they be able to do that this year?

True dat! I expect maraming combi plays na niluluto. Pero ma-eexecute kaya?

    Sana 5 sets!

Whether its the standing or the game, i still believe that it is only ADMU who can stand toe to toe with DLSU. In fact, i find the comment of Banaticla that man for man, they have the advantage of Ateneo really over the top. Yet, since its her opinion, no matter how far from the truth, i'll just respect it.

Again, i'll let the game speak for itself.

Kahit may twice-to-beat advantage ang Ateneo, they need to win this Saturday and avoid meeting UST for a second time. Chances are, baka dun sila madale because PRESSURE might set in to the players.

Anyway, good luck na lang sa both teams. Kahit sino naman sa dalawang teams ang pumasok sa UAAP Finals, they will need three perfect games to beat DLSU. Pahirapan talaga.

OT: buhay na naman ang Fs! lol

DLSU had a harder time vs. UST. Naka match point pa ang UST.

Emotions are important. Because we are talking about players... who are people. Even retards are people.

I think UST have proven otherwise during the first round when they are assumed not to have peaked that they can go head to head with DLSU.

But this is UST and Ateneo's match. It's a difficult to tell right off the bat who's going to win it.

And I don't find Maruja's comment over the top. You are just a die hard conceited Atenean. And we respect that.

    SPOT ON!

  20. #59
anyways since tao sa tao ang usapan...

    Fille vs Maru- EVEN

Alyssa vs Tunay/Reyes- definitely it's Valdez.

Ortiz vs Ho- NO CONTEST! the best quick and running na nakita ko sa isang local player!

Nacachi vs Hirotsuji- EVEN! ewan ko sa dalawang to! hindi ba pwedeng si De Leon or Lastimosa na lang ang sa UST at Sarah Cruz or Bea Tan na lang sa middle para exciting naman!!!

    Ferrer vs Dimaculangan- EVEN!

    Lazaro vs Morado- NO CONTEST!

Attack Valdez's defense at magugulo ang spacing ng ibang teammates niya trying to cover for her.
