I air pa din kaya nila yun CDC?
Malamang kasi my agreement na dun.

From what I've been reading these past few months, the assumption is that only Studio 23 is keeping the NCAA from holding weekend games. Makes me wonder why it hasn't occurred to anybody that maybe the NCAA schools do not want to have weekend games because then they will have to pay overtime to their staff. Do you people watch the games live? MANCOM members only "watch" when the camera is trained on them. After that, the MANCOM area is empty as the courtside patron seats.
MVP has three teams in the PBA and only one team in the NCAA. I doubt if he will prioritize the NCAA over the PBA. He is a businessman first and an alumnus way below his list of roles. I give the NCAA three years tops with AKTV. Then when the UAAP becomes available, let's hope another network decides to open up a sports slot and take on the NCAA so they can practice their coverage technique. WTH though, right? We can always watch the games live and post our cellphone/tablet videos of the game on YouTube.
It was shared here that S23 offered a 5-yr coverage with more money.
On the part of AKTV, it was just 3 years, lesser money on a year-by-year basis. But one item they committed to was a "weekend slot".
Kung pera ang habol, S23 na dapat. Kung longer commitment dapat S23. Pero AKTV. Malamang yung weekend spot was a factor.
Also, AKTV committed to cover other events, e.g. volleyball. Given the light programming load of AKTV, it is easy for them to commit to cover other events. Obviously, this was also a factor.
Sabagay, the PBA takes a break during college season to prevent comparison. So I guess the NCAA won't be playing the weekends on MOA Arena then. Syempre NU ang host, with the SM connection, the UAAP will have first dibs on the venue. So maybe, with the MVP connection, sa Araneta na ang NC. Tama ba yun?
Wait, S23 offered more money than AKTV? I seriously doubt that.![]()
Its all about the money,
its all about the dum dum duh dee dum dum.
I don't think its funny.
To see us fade away.
Its all about the money,
its all about the dum dum duh dee dum dum.
and I think we got it all wrong anyway.
Sorry, all I can think of is Angelicopter reporting in the NCAA.
Correction: CLC po and I'm sure S23 will air it. The league didn't have anything like it before ABS-CBN pushed for it. You can ask the team's coaches, pati sa Perp.

Mall of Asia Arena: NCAA’s New Home for 2012
"The National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA), the oldest collegiate athletic league in the country, has announced that they have found a new home in Mall of Asia Arena for their monumental 88th Season in 2012.
In a special press conference hosted by Mall of Asia Arena, Fr. Vic Calvo, Athletic Moderator for Colegio San Juan de Letran, will be the host school for NCAA Season 88 also announced that they will be having the NCAA games in the state of the art event center that will open on May 2012 located right at the heart of the Mall of Asia Complex."
Pano kaya yan?
Sana nga lumipat sila Bill Velasco at Butch Maniego!![]()
Nang magpirmahan ang NCAA at MOA Arena wala pa sa eksena ang AKTV who would be making a bid committing a wkend playday.
Pero ano pa man yan, we should not expect problems pagdating sa venue ng weekend games ng NCAA and the coverage.
Kung UAAP ang gagamit ng MOA on weekends, that means bakante ang Araneta at Philsports.
Ang AKTV naman ay committed to cover the games saan man yun laruin.
if AKTV will be the coveror, maybe they'll ask the host school to utilize the SMART Araneta as well.
I think SMART Araneta is the logical choice if MOA Arena's commitment would have conditions pertaining to the coverage of S23 as partner. But I don't see any difference, it's a win-win situation for both venues since they will accommodate different leagues in various schedules that would coincide with one weekend slot. Then the tv viewership wars begin.![]()
And if AKTV will extend two weekends for us then it will be sweeter! Of course logistics would be easier for them if PBA games will happen after the NCAA games. They could actually benefit from an "instant crowd" that may prefer to stay after our games.![]()
sunday games for NCAA is only possible if PBA games on sunday will be at 5PM.
that means NCAA games will start at 12NN kapag may sunday games ang NCAA sa AKTV![]()
