Sa Day 1, Sung Sot (Cave of Suprises) at Titop Beach or Fishing Village lang ang mabibisita niyo. Second day, pupunta doon sa hindi niyo napiling lugar (Titop or Fishing Village). Tapos, babalik na sa pier ang barko sakay yung mga nag two day cruise. Yung mga nag three day cruise, magkakayak at maglilibot-libot sa islands, pupunta sa beach, sakay ng mas maliit na barko.

1-1/2hrs by plane and 1-1/2days by train.

the cheapest is a day tour.

    enjoy.

Saan kayo kumukuha ng tour for Halong Bay? Doon ba sa hanoi pwede? O kelangan talagang magbook online? Salamat sa sasagot!

no it's not. i guess it's safer kasi wider yung bangka compared sa Ha Long Bay

it looks shallow because you could see the water grass in the clear waters. before they did not use paddles but poles. it was stopped because it stirs the river bed sedements which makes the water murky. given the lenght of the poles, it may be 2-3mts deep.

    enjoy.

yes, at our hotel they offered us all the tour packages from HaLong, HauLo/TamCoc, HoiAn, Hue, MySon, Perfume River, and SaPa.

    enjoy.

Halong Bay though is beautiful especially going into caves and round and round some rock formations. The weather plays a good part too, creating that dramatic feel. An activity I would suggest is kayaking in Halong Bay....the boat ride is okay but kayaking is way better...

I love Hanoi....it's the place for cultural immersion
    agree

Palawan is different from HaLong. at Palawan, you get to have an up close experience but at HaLong you get to see the veiws from a far in a junk and not on bangka.

the limestone formation in Palawan are bigger and weathered. it like seeing a watery "dragon ballZ" landscape at HaLong.

the caves are manicured with colored backlighting and lots of chinese graffiti.

fauna is more abundant in Palawan.

the water is also clear in Palawan unlike the murky wasters of HaLong Bay.

plus the weather is always foggy or overcasted, compared to our sunny climate.

    enjoy.

I posted about my first day in Hanoi before I took the overnight train to Sapa.

    http://talonlang.blogspot.com/2012/0...-quarters.html

As for our Halong Bay trip, we were fortunate to have clear sunny skies during our trip. I even managed to get a tan for just a few hours on deck. During the trip back to Halong port the sky was overcast and everything was dark. If the weather was like that for our entire trip, I probably would not have appreciated Halong Bay as much too.

We booked the 2D/1N Jolly Rogers Cruise from Hanoi Backpackers. We paid $80 each. We chose this particular cruise because of the crowd (backpackers aged 18-30ish) and the drinking games. There are cheaper packages and more expensive ones in more luxurious junks. We had enough good food during the trip and kayaking was also included in the tour. The cost also includes transfers from Hanoi and back.

hmm may $100 usd ako kung magpapadala parents ko. if hindi, i only have 400,000 VND... malayo pa rin ba mararating nun?
may fireworks competion this week sa danang, worth bang panuorin yun?

    sorry ang dami kong tanong.

Hahaha I get what you mean. We didnt stay sa Hanoi backpackers kasi (only booked the halong bay from them) and pagpunta din namin as office nila mga hippie-ish backpackers ang sumalubong samin. Fun kasama and kausap. We met another group nung pauwi na kami, 3D 2N *** kinuha nila, and sila sobrang gulo and ingay. Siguro if sila *** kasama namin baka nagkulong nalang ako sa room the whole time.
