Alam ko UST and Ateneo (or so I think) malakas sa Badminton last year, in men's tourney at least. UST had a sensational rookie (rookie/MYP?) last year, but for some reason he left UST this school year - I'm not sure though.

malaman pa natin next season sa badminton pero wala naman yata akong napansin na galing UST nasa NU na ngayon sa badminton.

badminton lang naging tinik sa UST last year, 5th sa men's and 6th sa women's.

UST worst case scenario = 290 pts

DLSU best case scenario = 284 pts

UST best case scenario = 304 pts

DLSU worst case scenario = 269 pts

therefore, even if DLSU wins all the possible remaining championships for the second round they will not be able to surpass UST in the general championship race tally even if UST loses in all its remaining events. (Again, I only based this on greenboys data, nothing more, nothing less)

I tried to compute din, yung best case for DLSU is 291 sa computations ko, hmm I think yung kulang na 7 points sa computation natin ay yung men's volleyball? may chance pa sila kasi magchampion dun, though malalakas talaga kalaban

malaki at malawak din kasi ang pool of players of UST. Before nga, sa lahat ng sports merong pang try-outs sa mga actual students of UST, yung mga hindi recruit. and i know of a few who were recruited by the coaching staff during the P.E. classes and during the inter-institute/college games inside UST.

Pero isang reason din ay, unfortunately, hindi lahat ng magagaling sa UST, hindi willing maging athlete. priorities din talaga ang studies. Which, i guess, is a good thing.

Kahit maraming pera ust hindi nila sinisilaw mga athlete. Sana mas aalagaan pa ng ust mga thomasian athletes para kasi sayang naman kung sa atin nag train tapos kukunin lang din ng ibang univ.

If this is true, then its another year of the Tiger (2011_2012). What a way to cap its Quadricentennial Celebration. Though it wasn't really just a walk in the Plaza Mayor. DLSU gave it a huge heave and gave us a run for the money. It only goes to show that other Universities are really stepping up, which is a good thing so as to elevate the level of competition in the league.
