Pagalingan lang ng coach yan... Syempre mananalo ang matiyagang magturo kaysa sa magaling magpahulang coach he he..
DLSU, 3 straight sets!![]()
DLSU has exacted revenge on all their tormentors in the first round. I expect them to do the same here.
dlsu in 3! ANIMO!!!
UNIVERSITY WEEK NA!
DLSU in 3!
SWEEP!![]()
Bilog ang bola.
ADMU in 5.
Sana present na si Coach Roger this time around. hehe.
ONE BIG FIGHT!!!!
Ateneo in 3 sets! I dream big!![]()
Lasalle in 3 sets...nangangarap lang din![]()
Ateneo is individually lethal, with the likes of Gee, Fille, Valdez and others... But I don't think they are ready to face a La Salle team of this caliber in a very pressured packed game, much more to win it.
They can bank on the experience of their home grown veterans but with the heart of the champions and the composure of their opponents come clutch junctures, it wouldn't be just hard, they have to give it all, and I mean all. No room for errors, no time for complacency and they should not play the pace of their opponent. They have to be focused from the get go.
I am sensing an upset, and that's upsetting those who are thinking that ateneo can win a set in this game.
La Salle in three straight sets!
Ateneo can win a set against DLSU, but not with the way they played against FEU.
The key for Ateneo will be reception. If they are able to receive well, Ateneo can make use of the many possible complex combination plays they have. Ateneo is the team that can make the most number of combination plays because they have the most versatile hitters. You have an open spiker that can do running attacks and an opposite hitter than can do back quicks. DLSU can do this also but not as fast as Ateneo can (Michele's back quicks are still slow).
DLSU is looking as sharp and as disciplined as ever, so it isn't surprising that a lot of people are expecting this to be a blowout but I wouldn't bet money on it. This is not an impossible game for Ateneo.
P.S. A lot depends on the mental toughness of Lazaro and Ferrer. If we see these two crumble again, it's a sure loss. I'm glad to see they did otherwise in their game against FEU yesterday, they have to display the same tenacity on Sunday.
hmmmm.... Combinations and great attackers vs. solid blocking????
Me thinks blocking wins every time. For great combinations to work a lot of things has to go right. I also think that Admu needs a consistent 3rd scorer if they plan to spread the blocking of DLSU. if they don't find one in this game expect DLSU to put 2 blockers on Fille every single time and the other blocker shadowing Valdez. DLSU would rather test Valdez rather than be beat by Fille. I think Jem goes to Fille too much in this game and not spread the ball.
It won't be easy but DLSU in 4 sets.....
AN1MO LA SALLE!!!!
I can't predict how many sets it would be for each teams but here's my analysis:
DLSU. Revenge. Yun ang fuel nila for winning this match. Pero wag nalang isipin ang pag hihiganti, isipin ang game. They not the same as we have seen in the 1st round, they didn't actually lost a set this 2nd round.
CRUZ. Always dependable in pressure packed matches. Chipping in points when it matters most.
MARANO. Same with Cruz but always has a tendency na manggigil lalo na sa regalo. Nice to see her giving tips to Mika Reyes.
ESPERANZA. Excellent as ever, good ball distribution and an improved blocking. But she is really having a hard time setting a mis-received ball.
GALANG. This rookie already bags 5 POGs. Maganda ang hangtime ng batang toh, but needs an improvement in adjusting to mis-sets. Runaway ROY for me.
REYES. Nung makita ko toh nung 1st round, soft shots lang, sabi ko nga, kung mananatiling soft shots toh baka malamangan ang DLSU but she proved me wrong. Her sibat plays are awesome (fave niya ata yun). Good blocking although not so aggressive.
GUMABAO. The wall. The rejection queen. Valdez and Cainglet will be gunning through her blocks, sana maging consistent sya dun. Napansin ko lang medyo bumaba ang spiking output ni Gumabao.
BENCH. Very deep indeed with Tan, Cerveza, Tiu, Sison, Garbin and Tatlonghari.
ADMU. Would be making a very big statement here if they beat DLSU ending their losing streak since S71. We know that their open hitters are fomidable but their middle hitters could spell difference in this match. Since we all know that Ho and Nacachi are not so potent spikers, they need to step up on their spiking so they could provide variations that ADMU needs.
Cainglet. The former ballerina (lol Boom) haha. Nothing much to say for this girl, always dependable front line and backline at talaga namang paborito ni Ferrer (talagang pinahirapan na siya).
Ho. Needs to chip more points from her signature running attack. Needs to vary her attacks, I know this girl can, sana mabigyan sya lagi ng bola ni Ferrer.
Ferrer. The two time best setter awardee. Its the time she should show whats she's capable of. Frustration sometimes kills Ferrer and her abilities, kaya wag mapipikon pag dinuro ni Marano.. xD
Valdez. Rookie phenom as they say. Patunayan mo saken at sa mga detractors mo na ikaw na talaga. Needs to be consistent especially in the backline. Maganda yung service nya, pareho kami ng style.
Nacachi. The Decoy. Sana di ka lang decoy sa laban na toh, but I think she could pull a couple of surprises.
Gervacio. Wag ka na mag jump serve, oo mahirap kunin yun ng reception pero madala net ball ka. xD... Spiking is always excellent as ever..
I think it will go down the wire.
very close game ito siguro.
dito na mapapatunayan kung nagmatured na ba yung Ateneo players sa loob ng 4 years nila sa UAAP court.
ADMU wants to end the drought and to spoil the season sweep.
expect ADMU and DLSU to be all out and all heart in this game.
Maybe the pressure ng DLSU to sweep may come into play.
naalala ko dito yung sa basketball yung ADMU vs. Adu, all odds favoring Ateneo to sweep season 74 but Adu surprised everybody.
kahit anong result nito wll be no upset to me.![]()
nobody can say this will be easy. Of all, Ateneo is the most convincing squad to challenge La Salle. Minimum of 4 sets. Less errors and it will boil down to 3 neck-to-neck sets. That's for La Salle anyway. Lol hoping for an upset that DLSU will beat the upset-minded Lady Eagles.
NO UPSET in this game. UP will play NU before this game, so dun na ang UPset if ever.
Seriously, there will be no upset whoever wins in this game. They are the #1 and #2 teams for this season and both squads are loaded with good players. I am just hoping for a good game and an injury-free one.
Of course I am rooting for DLSU, but I am not convinced that sweeping would be good for the team as they will be on the sideline for more that a week while the other teams fight it out for the final slot.![]()
