Im planning to transfer ng school . (Kung may nakapansin,ng tanong din ako sa ibang board. OK *** naman yun diba?) Opinions po sa AB/BS Psychology ng FEU? Maganda po ba curriculum ng Psych sa FEU? Pati environment?(Petiks ba masyado?Masydong Strict?Tama lang?).



Pati same lang ba yung binibigay na Test sa incoming freshies at ng mga ng ttransfer? Ilang months narin kasi ako ng stop(Limot na XD). So kung may algeb,geo,trigo,calc, o physics din sa test ng mga transferee, kelangan ko na ulit **** mg review XD. Pero kung logic or basic arithmetic wala naman problema(hindi naman nawawala yun). May familyar ba sa test ng mga transferee? Thanks sa mga sasagot!

heya, Im psych student @ FEU. well, FEU offers BS Psychology. walang AB Pysch saamin at mas maganda ang BS for me. di ako nagsisisi na pinili ko ang course ko na to because I really learned a lot ang hindi basta basta ang roster of professors. BS Psychology in FEU is currently in Level III Accreditation Status and candidate for Level IV (which is the highest level of accreditation). Aside from that partner school din namin ang DLSU Psychology department kaya minsan sa mga seminars namin may mga taga DLSU students. tungkol naman dun sa petiks or hindi, I can say depende sayo yon on how can you handle stress. nakaka stress ang 3rd and 4th year and syempre depende sa professor yan.

Facilites? nice facilities - we have our own Psychotherapy Room & Psychometric Room. may separate consultation room din and iba din ang faculty room. may observation room din kami.. we also have rooms designed for experimental psychology. may DLP din ang classroom namin. fully airconditioned classroom, centralized arirconditioning system pa.

Environment -okey naman, in fact masaya nga tumambay sa loob ng campus. malinis and well maintained ang campus.

curriculum - lahat ng core subjects nasa curriculum namin pero babaguhin daw ang curriculum baka this SY12-13. kasi may idadagdag na subjects.

Pinapakta ba sa website ng feu yung curriculum? Kung meron, hindi ko makita XD. Majority ba ng Psych profs sa FEU matino/masipag? Ay pati ilan blocks kayo usualy per year level? Majority ba talaga kadalasan mga babae?

Nope. you should visit psychology department for it.

yes, especially sa major subjects. mayroong mga prof na madaming pinapagawa talaga at halos araw araw nagpapa quiz.madami kasi ginagawa parati sa course ko.

ilan blocks kayo usualy per year level?

I dunno. pero 40-45 per class.

Majority ba talaga kadalasan mga babae?

most likely based from my experience sa mga previous years ko. 60% females, 40% males. madami din kasing males sa psych.

nung time namin in the early 2000, bibihira lang lalaki sa Psychology eh.. in a class nasa 2 or 3 lang ang lalaki..

as far as I know we're one of the first, if not the first, to have a Psychology laboratory here in the Philippines.

^True, FEU is one of the First schools in the country na nagkaroon the psychology laboratory. unfortunately hindi na mareretrieve ang original Psych laboratory kasi sira sira na daw yung mga original tools. pero may balak ata sila i-retrieve in future.

Townsend, an American who taught all of the Psychology courses being offered then, namely General Psychology, Genetic Psychology, Educational Psychology and Tests and Measurements.


1921-1930

-The University of the Philippines Department of Psychology is established within the School of Education. Agustin Alonzo is chairman(1926).
-The Department of Psychology at the University of Santo Tomas is established(1930).

1931-1940

-Sinforoso Padilla organizes the Psychological Clinic at the University of the Philippines(1932).
-Jesus Perpinan sets up the Far Eastern University Psychological Clinic(1933).
-Angel de Blas, OP, sets up the Experimental Psychology Laboratory in the University of Santo Tomas(1938).

hello! ok po ba ang BS Psych as a pre-med course? *** curriculum po ba ng BS Psych sa feu ay sapat na para ituloy ng med, (hindi na kailangan kumuha ng ibang subjects, i.e Neuro-anatomy, biochemistry, at ibang subjects required for med school)?

BS Psychology in FEU is a Pre-Med course. Incoming first year students will be using the new FEU Curriculum for BS Psychology (2012 Curriculum)

Neuro-Anatomy is equivalent to Biological/Physiological Psychology in FEU Curriculum.

No Biochem - only Inorganic Chemistry.

We have Comparative Anatomy (Zoology - 3 units) & Anatomy - Physiology (Ana-Physio, 3 units) in 2012 curriculum

Moreover, Psych Curriculum in FEU has 3 Practicums now.

1 - Educational Setting (School)
2 - Industrial Setting (Human Resource)
3 - Clinical Setting - Practicum/Duty in Mental Clinics or Institution.

if you are going to pursue your Med in FEU-NRMF, wala ka nang problema.

if so, pwede kayang kumuha ng mga additional/required subjects na to sa FEU. will feu allow taking subjects outside of the prescribed curriculum?

well, UP med accepts BS Psych graduates at hindi na nila kelangan ng mga pre-requisite subjects. depende naman yan sa Medical Schools kung ano ang policy nila about it. I cant answer that.

Yes, its possible ONLY if you already finished your Pre-Med course and you were advised by Med School to take Biochem ect..

It depends on the availability. tsaka depende sa evaluation sayo. Psych ba course mo from previous school or what?

pag summer kasi most of the subjects available are minor subjects. minsan 1 or 2 major subjects lang ang inooffer pag summer.

hindi kasi nacredit *** math1 ko, so kailangan ko sya kunin ngayong sem, tapos math2n next sem.. edi hindi ko makukuha *** psy102p next sem since prereq niya pala *** math2n... mauurong *** mga majors ko (

hi gusto ko pong magtransfers sa FEU galing UM at gusto kong magshift ng course dati HRM ako ***** gusto kong mag psychology sa FEU ask ko lang po mahirap ba ang entrance exam pag psychology ang kinuha. and how much po *** tuition kc po nagaalangan po ako eh

Entrance exam is average in difficulty. Pero by August new FEUCAT na ang gagamitin kaya expect na mas mahirap na siya kesa sa current FEUCAT na ginagamit at talagang sasalain na ang studyante kasi 5000 freshmen students lang ang tatanggapin ng FEU. Regarding your question about tuition fee. nasa 1,300 ++ per unit. Usually 20-21 units ang first year 1st sem sa psych. Inquire ka nalang sa Admission office for more information
