ABS-CBN's “It’s Showtime” launches new offerings
ABS-CBN’s noontime show “It’s Showtime” is all set for a star-studded show this Saturday (Jan 26) for its opening salvo to introduce its all-new segments with exciting prizes for its loyal ‘madlang people.’
Richard Gomez and Dawn Zulueta will add glitter and unleash their inner crazy in the comedic skit “Sine Mo ‘To,” while Journey vocalist and Pinoy pride Arnel Pineda will render a world-class performance.
Don’t miss the relaunch of the “Arte Mo” segment and its new P1 million jackpot round with celebrity players from the cast of “Aryana,” “Kahit Puso’y Masugatan,” “Luv U,” “Angelito: Batang Ama,” and celebity mentors Joy Viado, Cacai Bautista, KitKat, and Sexbomb Girls.
Watch out for Anne Curtis’ spectacular futuristic production number, as well as the first weekly finals of the “Bida Kapamilya” celebrity edition that features celebrities and their own families delivering explosive and entertaining performances. It will be staged on Mondays and Tuesdays and will have its weekly finals on Saturdays.
The original version, meanwhile, involves celebrity mentors and will continue to showcase the fun and creativity of ordinary Filipino families on Wednesdays and Thursdays, and in weekly finals on Fridays.
Aside from this big change, “It’s Showtime” also opens a grand competition to all impersonators in “Kalokalike,” a search for people who can best imitate their popular showbiz idols based on appearance, behavior, and performance.
‘Madlang people’ also face a new challenge in “Makina Matibay,” which was already introduced this week, where a group of people competes with a machine to determine which of them does better certain mechanical tasks such as scraping coconuts and crushing ice.
Kuya Kim Atienza, meanwhile, will throw a blazing birthday bash on Thursday (Jan 24) as he battles with balladeers Dingdong Avanzado and Raymond Lauchenco in a singing showdown of 80’s hits.
