ELEVATORS. You shall curse them for the rest of your frosh life.![]()
secret!![]()
EXPECT
1. A lot of overdressing freshmen, especially during your 1st few weeks at La Salle)
2. Male blockmates competing over their pretty female blockmates.
3. Long lines at Andrew Building.
4. Blockmates na nagyayaya agad maginuman.
5. FUNSeriously, college will be way better than HS.
Conyos!ang daming nagiging spokening dollar pagtapak ng dlsu..
mga social climbers (yes, madami sila! nagkalat sila among the froshies)
kung frosh ka 3 -4 years ago, expect mo na na 'masisilaw' ka pag tambay mo sa SJ walk![]()
Well, that sounds like fun. ^_^
going to bump up a few threads about some of your queries
(sorry had to ask here) But how many units can you fail if you're taking AE-MFI. 30?
Expect the ever warm greeting WELCOME TO LA SALLE!
The trimestral system's gonna be hard on, but you will soon appreciate its impact on froshies. It's like a rewarding experience you will never forget.
By the end of 2 terms, your block shall be reduced if not 20%, 50% at the maximum.
Prepare for failures. Froshies are only allowed to fail a max of 18 on your first year in the university.
Siyempre, get the UAAP fever on and kabisaduhin niyo mga cheers!
And, an advice of an upperclassman like me: Don't walk in groups especially in SJ Walk and areas where you upperclassmen are walking. Magpaparinig kami at maiinis kami sa inyo. *grin look* HAHAHAHA.
Welcome to LAZAAAHHH!![]()
Expect blockmates who will suck up to your professors.
Expect pacool blockmates.
Expect that anyone else in your block would answer "kahit saan" when asked "saan tayo kakain?"
Expect that at least one group in your block will eat at Mcdo or KFC.
Expect that you will hate the elevators in Andrew. So please guys, if your class is at 8:00am, you should be already at the lobby by 7:40am. If you are late, use the stairs. You will hate climbing the stairs even if you are from COB-SOE (8th floor). What more if your class is in 12th, 14th, or 17th floor?
Expect for syllabi during the first and second day. Some professors also discuss many important things such as classroom rules, grading system, class requirements, and other important matters.
Expect that your blockmates will buy all the books required by your professors. In the end, they get frustrated for only using a chapter of the book within the term.
Expect that Tapat or Santugon will force you to join them come the recruitment period.
Expect that many orgs will do the same. I suggest though that you join orgs you think are aligned with your interest. Be an officer. Make friends. Develop your network. Later on when you look for a job, you will appreciate everything.
Expect that it will be crowded during the first week.
Expect for sleepless nights.
Expect that the environment will be stressful during the midterms and finals week. REALLY STRESSFUL. I am not exaggerating. But if you have lenient professors, good.
Expect that during the finals week, some of your blockmates will already be computing for the grades they need in order to get 60 or 70 (1.0) in the final grade.
Expect that not all of your blockmates will decide to take the final exam knowing that there is no hope anymore. I had blockmates before who needed 101+ over 100 on our exam in Service Accounting (ACTBAS1).
Expect that your My.LaSalle (MLS) account will crash during the grade distribution night, and you will hate ITC because of it.
That is all I can think of for now. I will post more expectations soon. Good luck froshies! And welcome to La Salle!
Oh and expect gaining weight (10-20lbs) soon after you enter college.A lot of my friends did (including me). I'm okay with it though, since medyo underweight ako. Malalaman mo nalang sa annual physical examination na bumigat ka. Hooray for additional 10lbs.

Expect a lot of pretty girls. (except maybe if you're from CCS or ENG, if thats the case magcross enroll ka)
Expect multicultural crew members of your block lol.
Expect the gap between the super rich, the rich, and the middleclass.
Expect some dumb blockmates as there are obviously dumb-impressioned students.
Expect "people from the block flock together.
Expect cool blockmate(s) with the constant use of dude, tsong, pare. It just shows that he/they are not interested in making friends with you. Yes, they don't want to remember your name lol that's how they roll. Very cool.
Expect men and women with the appearance rate of zero to ten.
Expect tight schedules for a freshmen.
Expect rowdy classrooms since a block consists of 30 or more.
Expect drinking sessions with the basagulero type of students.
Conclusion: Don't expect too much, you can just feel and experience them later on. Friends are essential after 2nd term or during 3rd term.
Expect a great deal of adjustment
Expect criticisms from insecure people![]()
Expect to meet a few jerks and biatches once in a while, but still for me DLSU has the best student population. Not as competitive and arrogant as one school, not as elitist as the other school, not as airheads as most schools in u-belt.
^^^
You did NOT just drag everyone through the mud in that statement. I refuse to believe that.![]()

that's true, you'll gain weight in college.
to add, yung mga dating pangit nung high school gumagwapo at gumaganda.
yung ibang dating nerd/dork, nagiging cool. i guess lasallians are very accepting and less discriminating than in other schools.
