Hello to those etelecare employees. I was just wondering how you guys go to work in a shifting schedule if you do not have a car? I heard there are shiftings like 4 or 3 in the morning.

etelecare offered me a job but I didn't get it precisely because of the shifting schedule. Ok naman ang pay nila considering that customer care representatives (lowest rung yun, pero backbone ng company) gets around P15,000 basic pay plus overtime (pag shifting ka, may night differential ka which is pretty substantial din) plus double rate if you have to work during holidays. Take home pay can go as high as P20,000++ per month. Pretty good considering na even fresh grads get in. just don't expect to have much of a social life especially during the months na graveyard shift ka.

I have some friends who worked at etelecare. masaya naman ang tao dun kaya lang really high ang turnover rate because of 1) the shifting sched and 2) the work. Siyempre the company's clients are all American companies and you don't call customer service naman if you want to praise them right? You call to complain about inneficiency, wrong billing accounts etc. So imagine na lang the kind of calls they regularly receive.

Medyo strict rin sila with screening. they prefer graduates from good universities and you should speak fluent english. when you work there, guaranteed that you'll get an american accent! they also have a typing exam (which I miraculously passed! ). Ang pinakamahirap is the listening-typing exam. I don't think anybody passes that. You are made to listen to a tape while typing the information as fast as you can. Kakaloka talaga!

Shifting is every 8 hrs. Yes, there is a shift that starts at 4 am. If you don't have a car, you can commute. Mahirap nga lang, lalo na for women.

i used to work for etelecare.

couple of things i need to correct with regards to the previous post:

-basic salary is P12,000 (not 15)
-allowance is P1,100
-plus theres night diff and cab fee if you're on graveyard

the last one is really where etelecare pays high in comparisson to the others in the industry, so yeah they do pay big.

but because they're one of the highest (if not the highest) paying call center, they reserve the right to pretty much do with you whatever they please, so if its inconvenient or even dangerous for you to get to/ come from work, or you became sick or have special needs (studying, whatever) eh, sorry ka na lang kasi they are paying the premium nga (the high pay) so dapat "yes maam" or "yes sir" ka kaagad.

and they shift you around sooooo much, i mean work schedule and client. you get moved around so many times you feel like furniture.

i'm not discouraging you ppl from applying there, but yeah they do have high standards and its a very demanding company.

and there are other things.... but i'll leave it to that.

do they give prospective employees a different salary quote for the same job? coz i remember na magkaiba yung sinabi sa akin and to my friends. it's for the same job ha. not naman malaki yung difference pero meron.

and yes, a friend of mine who recently quit was really complaining about the sched. sometimes every two weeks bago na naman yung sched mo. there was even a point na in a single week she had two different time slots, depende sa day! like kunyari pag monday and thursday simula niya is 4am, tapos pag wednesday, friday, and saturday 8pm. can you imagine what this did to her body clock etc, etc?! and this crazy sched lasted for a month yata. maybe more? naayos rin naman eventually pero kawawa sila when this was their sched.

presently, its the basic 12T. there was one batch that the salary start was 15T, but that was way back last year when the company was still starting, that must've been when you applied too. but nowadays its what i've said.

i was already a regular when i left. there are a lot of reasons why i left that company, for which its not fair for me to disclose in a messsage board when there is no one to air out their side, but if you've been hearing some stuff from your friends or colleagues about that company, then chances are its true.

Hello darthskully, I am pretty curious why you left. If you do not want to disclose it to everyone, can you private msg me nalang? Im starting work at etelecare this wednesday kaya im just curious about a lot of things. By the way, you mentioned about a cab fee. Is this the service provided by the company? I heard from one of my friends that there is a service provided by etelcare if you are on grave yard shift. I just want to know if this is true. It would be a great relief to know this.
