And hopefully, ma-utilize ulit ng husto yung bench players.

HOPEFULLY, UST in 3 sets but the girls CANNOT underestimate FEU even if Morada is not around. They, of all teams, should know to never underestimate an opponent. If they would show the same focus that they have been showing for the past 2 games, a 3-setter isn't impossible.

I have a gut feel Pam is going to be the starting open/utility for this game. I'm expecting a great game from both teams and sana no injuries!

I'm expecting a greater performance from UST.

No more beating around the bush, UST is handsdown the better team here. Let's just hope they live to that and not be complacent. Last year was a fine example of that complacency.

Rhea will be the setter next game. Not unless magkaroon ng last minute change si Coach.

Nagtratrain na ba siya? If magaling na si Rhea, I'm sure na siya yung setter next game.

i think mas ok na either pam or jessey ang ilagay sa utility pangtapat kay bombarina. si juday muna ang open. off the bench na muna si gi.

Korek! I think Pam is one of our better blockers so I think okay kung siya ang utility at open muna si Juday.

UST is resurging, the momentum is already with them. They just need to take advantage of it.

For them to win the game, they should tighten their net defense. Talagang nawala nang husto blockings ng team this season. Ang daming lumusot na attacks ng ateneo last time, although bawi naman sa floor defense since hirap magpatay ng bola ang ADMU.

And of course, lessen their errors. The first set on their last game could have been close and who knows, they might've snatched it if not for their 9 errors.

i can't expect the same result as feu-dlsu game. feu's bread and butter are quick attacks, dlsu is a better blocking team compared to UST. si maizo lang at santiago ang nawala nawala na rin ang blocking nila. sana ibalik ni ortiz ang blocking niya tsaka ma-polish pa sila de leon, lastimosa at hirotsuji not just for this game but for the remaining games as well. pagdating sa offense at floor defense kayang kaya na nila e.

If you will base it on the recent games of UST, they are slowly making Ortiz' running attacks as the team's bread and butter, not even the tall DLSU blockers can stop her. Plus, the bench players are more than ready to step up. What UST may lack big time in blocking made up for their much improved floor defense. It may be mediocre at the start of the game but when they get adjusted, it's hard to kill the balls going on their side. Plus, if Rhea will play already on this game, expect fast plays which is her forte that will definitely confuse not just the opponent's blockers but the backliners as well.

I also forgot, stats-wise, UST may be the worst serving team, but they are slowly scoring lots of aces lately.

Btw, I like Ortiz' new serves, patusok na may karga, unlike before na palobo kahit may karga.

Tigresses should watch out for Roxas and Eulalio's Quick attacks,
this past few games, Tams are capitalizing their quicker more often. I suggest Jessey to be part of the starting 6, this Girl can Block!!!

I was surprised na #7 ang USTe in terms of serving, medyo nakakadami naman silang aces daba?

    GOODLUCK TO BOTH TEAMS
    UST ALL THE WAY

i want to watch all their games (even those against low-seeded teams) just to see how much they improved since their last game. sana magtuloy tuloy na.

I don't think they are in the mindset like last year's. UST doesn't seem to have complacency in their vocabulary.

It must have been the new coach. They look fresh and inspired.

    Good job, Coach Odjie!

i'm excited with the Eulalio-Ortiz matchup. Ortiz has the obvious edge, but the floor D of FEU can be very frustrating.

If UST will stick to the taller line-up they used against ADMU (using Pam as utility/open, and alternating De Leon and Mia), they can win this in 4 sets. They just have to continue playing inspired.

On the other hand, FEU might win this in 4 sets by frustrating UST via their floor D, and minimizing their errors. They have a very good and smart setter in Gizelle Sy.

The way things are, I'd give this match to UST in 4 sets. They've got momentum, and the girls are looking resilient.
