Kaya Futbol Club is a Filipino association football club founded in 1996 by Rudy Del Rosario, Robert Kovach, Christopher Hagedorn and the late John-Rey Bela-Ong. They are currently playing in the First Division of the United Football League, the country's semi-professional football league.
The name of the club comes from the Filipino word káya which means "we can." In the ancient Filipino language written in Alibata, the word is closely defined as susi ng kapatiran or "key to brotherhood." Both of these definitions provide the basis for Kaya FC's team spirit and vision as a club.

HISTORY
In the late 1980′s, one evening a week, players of all ages and from different backgrounds would get together on a basketball court for in-door football. The enjoyment of the weekly practices grew and the player’s skill improved rapidly. They began to join outdoor 7 a-side football tournaments playing against different teams. Frequently the KAYA team members found themselves on the winner’s podium receiving medals and trophies.
After a few years and multiple awards, they realized that many of their teammates were some of the best in the country and the team needed to set a foundation. The name KAYA Football Club was then created in July of 1996 and the beginning of the KAYA leadership on and off the field for football in the NCR and the Philippines became more prominent.
In the late 1990′s, KAYA FC participated in official and more challenging 11 a-side football tournaments organized by the National Captial Region Football Association. The team was eventually recognized as one of the only club teams capable of defeating the “big three” comprised of the Philippine Army, Philippine Air Force and Philippine Navy football clubs.
Between 2000 and 2009, KAYA FC defeated the armed forces teams in two separate Championships and was the Champion of the United Football League (UFL) on three occasions (2009 the UFL became the LBC-UFL and invited the armed forces to join the league wherein KAYA FC placed 2nd).
In the last few years, a number of KAYA FC players represented the Philippines in International Tournaments.

i'm thrilled to watch beloya playing for our fave local football club. i can really see so much potential for this young lad. taas ng football IQ. i hope he'd soon play for the senior team, sana this AFC challenge cup na. sayang yung opportunity for international exposure eh.
nga pala, i like our new kit. parang sa liverpool - my fave english premier league FC. para tuloy everytime i'd say, "GO, REDS!", parang di lang LFC nichi-cheer ko. pede na rin kasi sa kaya. hehehe.
Kaya bags all 3 points in UMak to have 6 points on the league table and jumped to the 2nd spot after a come from behind win over Green Archers United, 2-1. Thanks to Lexton Moy who scored both goals for Kaya in the 48' and the game winning 86' goal. Here are the photos from the 2nd matchday between Kaya and Green Archers United.

Also, the updated league table (as of January 22, 2012):
never liked anton. masyadong pa-star at hindi disiplinadong maglaro. lagi na lang butas ang depensa nya dahil pinipilit maging forward. glory hunter pa. buti na lang magagaling kasama nyang players.
The Kaya-Green Archers United match was not televised because the match was on a Sunday and AKTV only televised live UFL matches on a Saturday afternoon. It was a great match though. I thought that we would end up with a draw against the tough United side.
Usually, Kaya's 1st kit is red (2009, 2010, 2012), 2nd kit is black but 1st kit last year. Never seen them have yellow kits but it's one of the clubs clolors along with green.
i hope the entire team watched today's stallions vs loyola meralco match. we have to be very wary of Stallions FC as they've just railroaded both champion and runner up teams of the UFL cup. i believe in our team that we can beat them but we have to make the right preparations and create the best strategies in order to contain Stallions' formidable offense and break down their pretty solid defense. i think the key is to control their midfield. we shouldn't let doctora and lee get the ball. their playmakers should be stopped at midfield and not let them near the box. that's how they defeated PAF and LMS - so i think, we should give them a dose of their own medicine when we face them. #UnaKaya
I hope they are really aware of what Stallion can bring on the pitch. Can't wait for their match. Stallion v Kaya! Anyway, Matchday 3 this Sunday. Kaya v Navy, 6:00 p.m. at UMAk! Una Kaya!
Just less than an hour away 'till the kick-off of Matchday 3 for Kaya against one of the Armed Forces trio, Philippine Navy. Kaya v Navy, 4:00 p.m. at University of Makati. Una Kaya! Banat ng banat!
