    Med Tech Reconsideration

Quote Originally Posted by darknesslover View Post

Hopeless talaga ako no'n kasi dream course ko ang med tech. Nanliit talaga ako sa sarili ko for not passing it. Admittedly, I was complacent din kasi with the USTET. XD

I complied with their requirements (recon letter, 4th year HS report card, USTET result). And I had to wait for like, 3 agonizing months, to know if I'm qualified for the INTERVIEW. Yes, that's the first step. So parang nakita nung nag-interview sakin na determined talaga ako...

And I had to wait again for the FINAL result kung pasok ba ko sa cut-off or hindi, for like 5 days. I was really really worried. Super pray talaga ako ng pray, as in everyday.

But God is so good! Pinasok niya ko sa Med Tech. I was one of the 130+ students who got accepted. I feel so blessed that day. So don't lose hope! And, ang alam ko lang, hindi masyado stringent ang College of Commerce sa reconsideration. Marami din kasi akong nakilala na they resorted to reconsider for Commerce when they failed their 2 courses of choice. GOOD LUCK!
    Hellp po darknesslover,
1st Choice ko din po *** medtech.. And I'm not qualified for it. I will be reporting on Feb 14 for admission sa psychology. May nagsuggest po sa akin na grab the opportunity and shift for the 2nd sem. Then nalaman ko na pwede pala magsulat ng reconsideration letter for my prefer course which is med tech. I know na I can write a persuasive letter for the dean the big prob is that I don't know what is the grades needed in the report card, I don't have a failing grade kaso I have one subject na 83 which is physics my other subject is 89 above . darknesslover I hope u don't mind asking Kung ano *** average grade mo sa HS card. For example no grade 90 below. Kasi mamimili me Kung ano ang isusugal ko *** 5,000 reservation fee 4 psych or just trust sa reconsideration for med tech... Pls help me!!! I need advice.

Pasado ako sa USTET, HRM ang first choice(for interview) at IT(passed). May pag-asa pa ba ako? Please help. Thank you.

Hello. I have some questions regarding my appeal for reconsideration to be in AB Legal Management, I did not qualify kasi. Tapos ko na isulat ang recon letter ko, pero I have some doubts pa rin. MUST po ba na handwritten siya? Kanino ko po ba siya iaaddress? Sa dean lang or may iba pa? And kailangan ko pa po ba ng reconsideration letter from our school's PRINCIPAL? Thank you po.

I'm sure naman marereconsider ka sa Med Tech eh, since nakapasa ka naman ng Psych which I believe is one of the double quota courses in UST.

How did you come to know about the result of your 'reconsideration'?

I did not. Alumnus po ako.

But I'm aware that the Dean's office will decide and prepare the list of recommended applicants for admission via appeal within the 3rd to 4th week of April 2012. Thereafter, this will be submitted to UST's Sec. Gen. for final approval, which really is just a ministerial action on such recommendation.

There is no definite answer. May mga variables involve dyan, like: course(s) you are choosing from, whether initially preferred choices or academic-placement choices; College or Faculty involved; and no. of slots still available with the courses you are choosing from. As a rule, I think, the less popular choices that do not require high cut-off scores, with 'low-enrollment', will be able to render a decision faster. Example: courses in education tend to be less popular with those in commerce, thus there are a greater no. appeals on which to render decisions in commerce than in education; this results in the college of commerce taking longer to issue confirmation of admission.
