mga pexers.. ask ko lang if may specific dates ba sched ng CIA exam dito sa pinas? kasi sabi ng gf ko... sa dubai daw wala naman.. kung kelan mo gusto magtake.. ganun lang.

and meron ba kayo materials for this na updated?pwede po pahingi? am planning to finally take this long delayed goal of mine. thanks

Magkano bayad sa exam at may mga level din ba ito tulad ng sa CFA na may level I, II, III?

4-part exam siya until mid 2013. babaguhin na kasi *** exam scope by next year.

dun sa USD 105 per part at may application fee na USD50

Cleared CIA part 1, 2, and 3 already. recently passed CFSA. I will be taking CISA this coming June. See you all at the oath taking in December. Good luck!

worth it CIA kc recognized sya globally. pwede mo sya dalhin kahit saan unlike CPA here in PH. required pala na may 2 years experience ka in audit to have the certification but you are allowed to take the exam in advance.

^yang 2 years audit na yan, anong klaseng audit? kailangan ba external, o pwede ding 2 years internal o information systems audit? At yung business controls pwede din ba dyan?

@AccIdPEx - any audit experience (internal or external)
@puraklin - mas mahirap CPA exam so kung easy *** CPA malamang easy na rin *** CIA. If not, focus ka sa P1, MAS, and Auditing theory.

I used CFSA Study Guide by James K. Kincaid but it is in hard copy. I know someone selling softcopy of this textbook. I'll PM you for details.

Ang CFA di 3 parts, 3 levels yun. Per level iba and coverage, laging kasama and Ethics, Quantiative Methods, Economics, Financial Reporting & Analysis, Equity Valuation, Debt Valuation, Alternative Investments, Portfolio Management. Bawat level iba and coverage.

naku hindi advisable na magtake kayo next year. Kung kaya niyong itake ngayon, i take niyo na. Kasi yung part 4 wala nang exemption next year. Intergrated na siya sa part 3 kaya mas dumami coverage. take note yung additional coverage na iyan eh hindi yan yung covered nung college. More on management siya.

Anyway dun sa interested, I'm selling my unused copy of Gleim Part 1 to 3. 14th Edition pero wala naman daw changes except kung ano yung changes dun sa red book na covered sa part 1. Ipoprovide ko na lang yung updates for Part 1 kasi pwede i download. 3k lang for the entire set. I bought this from the US kasi walang available sa IIA-P. Sabi nila di daw sila nagbebenta kasi may problem ata sa permit sa pag import ng books. Just pm me na lang.

As for the exam, madali lang talaga yung exam. I suggest allot 1 week review for part 1 and two weeks for part 2&3. Pagsabayin niyo na kasi maraming overlap. Tapos skip the financial accounting part hehe pag CPA na kayo.

Yung CISA, eh madali lang. As long as you have an audit mindset, kayang kaya yan.
