Maybe you can consider some of these disadvantages of owning mobile homes in the Philippines.

1. Since mobile homes are situated on privately owned lot, therefore the rent goes up. No assurance on time duration of stay, need to first check local laws.

2. Park issue.

3. Noise transmission is much higher as compare to typical house and lot.

Park issue. You got it. It's like your life would mostly and likely be spent in the roads, in anyone's gutter, or anywhere probably. So basically, you don't have a permanent address. Plus, you can't, sometimes, avoid those exasperating tickets.

If you are the type of person who's always on the go, condominiums are more advisable.

I believe that Ohana Place is one of DMCI Homes' mid- rise developments. Tama ka, hindi nga na- compromise 'yung building structure kasi kumpleto rin siya sa amenities. In fact, nanggaling na ako 'run, and was actually surprised kasi maluwang ang area, at maganda ang community. Although, I'm still leaning towards getting a unit at a high- rise condominium. I'm just awed by the views na makikita mo sa mataas na floor. Maganda kaya ang skyline ng Manila, at sa pagkakaalam ko, it was recognized as one of the most beautiful skylines in Asia.

Effective January this year, BIR has effected a higher threshold for VAT on real-estate properties like condominium units.

To quote, "Previously, properties priced at P2.5 million below enjoyed VAT-free transactions. Now, the VAT-free ceiling has been increased to properties priced up to PhP3,199,200."

"DMCI Homes believes that for wise condo buyers, the math should be simple—for a price below the VAT ceiling, they can settle for either an entry-level studio from other prominent developers, or a two-bedroom unit from DMCI Homes."
