COMMUNITY

I am a beneficial presence in my community.

I am often part a group--my family, colleagues at work, fellow passengers on a plane or subway, or neighbors at the local store. In every situation, I create community as I share and seek to discover the common threads that weave us together.

I commit to being a beneficial presence in my community. I make connections and demonstrate the qualities I wish to experience. When I see love, I reflect it back. When I see conflict or confusion, I center myself in the calm peace of God within so that I may be divinely guided to the right words and actions. My community is uplifted as I act with peace and love.

Luis Manzano – The Best You’ll Ever Have

Amongst all celebrities that I love, I get to see Luis Manzano the most. Almost every Saturday for the last 3-4 years or so. I met him first online thru Pinoy Exchange. We had few conversations there. Finally, one night I saw him in the PDA Hall of ABSCBN grounds and that's where I approached him. Fortunately, when I introduced myself, he remembered me. The first meeting was memorable simply because he was accommodating and approachable.

Luis is one of the most intelligent people I know. He combines maturity with wit and charm. He is undeniably funny and smart. Sometimes I even see myself thru his dominant attitudes and diverse personalities. Luis is not just an idol, not just a friend but also a family to me. He is just way too thoughtful and sweet than anyone else. He was never fake or plastic. He showed concern when I needed it. He comforts. He can really make me smile, laugh and cry at the same time.

Recently he granted me an interview; a dream for me to talk to someone who inspires me and someone I looked up to. He was so humble to allow me to have a little time and conversation with him. That was definitely a priceless and unforgettable event in my life.

Only few of you know that this man is just the most generous. He had charity events every Christmas and on his birthdays. He gives without holding back and without questions. He is a blessing to many. I'm a witness to how big he has shared to the needy and less fortunate. Luis is an Angel disguised as a multi-talented actor, multi-awarded host and an amazing singer and dancer. Haha. But seriously amongst all celebrities that I know; he is one of those that has given and shared much.

I will never get tired saying good things about this man; and I will never run out of good words for him and about him. He is just the best that anyone can have.

I'm lucky that I have met him;
Luckier that I get to see him and hug him often;
and the luckiest that I have him not just as my star but as a friend as well.
