Book # 1 - Hope for the Flowers

    Author: Trina Paulus
    Pages: 130
    Rating: 5/5

This is a story about two worms, okay, caterpillars. This is a story about how one of them yearns to be on top simply because everyone else is crawling to the top. He doesn't know why but because everyone wants to reach the top, he does to. This is a story of his journery and how along the way, amidst falling, getting back up again, crawling, stepping on others, and being stepped on, he realizes what he really wants and needs in life.

The question is, will he still be able to get back what he threw away or is it already too late?

    3. The Girl who Kicked the Hornet’s Nest by Stieg Larsson (672 pages)

Review: While this seems to be the weakest of the series, I’d still give this a thumbs up just because Larsson gave a satisfactory conclusion to the series. It wasn’t as suspense-driven as its predecessors and one needs PATIENCE to Larsson’s never-ending introduction of new characters and redundancy of mentioning the events that already unfolded. I almost gave up on this book but glad I didn’t because the last 200 pages or so were worth reading. It did tie the loose ends that book 2 left in the same caliber, suspense wise, as book 1 and 2. But this cannot stand alone and one must definitely read book 1 and 2. I generously give this 4 stars.

I like this book! 5/5 stars for me. I was reading Mockingjay but then had to put it aside when I started reading a few chapters of this book. The concept is about parallel words that existed with particles called Dust that connects them. The author was indifferent when he introduced concepts about "doctrines: and his own "laws: about science in a world he created(and it a bloody good way too!). This was a children's book but I wouldn't regard it as that. The authors concepts are really what attracted me to this book. Already bought the next two books(sana lang may time pa magbasa!). and for you guys who watched the movie- better read it. The movie really S-U-C-K-S.

    (2) PRETTY LITTLE LIARS: UNBELIEVABLE by Sara Shepard

The fourth addition to the Pretty Little Liars series. Anyways, the book picks up after Hanna got hit by the SUV. She lands herself in a coma and not remembering the night or the accident itself. This book will bring you through twists and turns of a mystery that will finally come to rest. If you're a fan of the series, you will not be disappointed!

    8. Are you there God , It's me Margaret -- July Blume

First of all, this book, aside from my mother, reminds me to pray which I haven't been doing lately.

It tells us what's on the mind of an 11 year-old girl named Margaret: Boys, period, bra, boobs, etc.

Call me late bloomer, cause I don't remember going all through these at that very young age.

It also tells us about choosing a religion. Is it really important to have one?

#3 - Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
    Time: February 19 to February 27, 2012
    Pages: 367
    Rating: 4/5

Re-read lang kasi malapit na yung release. Siguro sa second reading ko neto naging mas maganda siya sa'kin. Yung comparison being made with Battle Royale (which personally I find better, siguro dahil na rin I like it more thrilling and gory) is somehow inappropriate kasi if movie (BR) yung pagbabasehan ng comparison eh di naman nagfocus sa causes or whatsoever issues yung BR.
Medyo nakornihan din ako sa clinging part sa last chapters pero again Peeta played that one nicely. So that should be overlooked.

#4- Counted ba yung Hope for the flowers by Trina Paulus naengganyo ako sa cover.
Ayun, simple sya pero super thought-provoking.

    Book list updated

    1. Norwegian Wood, Haruki Murakami
    2. The Elephant Vanishes, Haruki Murakami
    3. The Nigt Circus, Erin Morgenstern
    4. Naked Lunch, William S. Burroughs (had to force myself to finish this book, sorry to those who loved this book, but I just didn't enjoy reading it!)
    5. Girl With Curious Hair, David Foster Wallace
    6. Me Talk Pretty One Day, David Sedaris
    7. The Lover's Dictionary, David Levithan
    8. Dash and Lily's Book of Dares, Rachel Cohn & David Levithan(young adult fiction, guilty pleasure, but I tend to be really picky too and this type of young adult fiction is my cup of tea, such a huge fan of Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist, cannot wait to see the film version of this one too, Lena Dunham will be writing the screenplay weeeh!)

    Currently Reading:

Em and Dex, I am really enjoying reading this novel, I just started yesterday. I have not seen the film version, nor do I intend to after I am done reading this. Because for me, the stars of the film version do not live up to the characters of the book Saree Anne

Nozmail asked me why I have not updated my book list yet, told him I'd do it on the weekend, but sinipag ako right now, so ngayon na lang

I am not a good at writing reviews so maybe I'll come up with a rating system na lang siguro, if I get more masipag, aside from this book challenge kasi, I started a film challenge too, carefully cataloging every film I have watched for the first time this year
