mahalaga yung time dito dahil nagtime travel si harry at hermione para iligtas yung buckbeak at si sirius black sa muling pagkakadakip kung yun ang tinutukoy mo

Proof that somehow you understood what you have read, ant to practice writing. Shouldn't be so hard.
Yeah, This is a good suggestion. And thanks for allowing Nozmail and I with our audio books because we are either vision impaired or trying to finish a book while trying to avoid running over pesky pedestrians.

I'll start the year with chapter one, a taxi ride with Aumame in Hiroki Murakami's (Ichi-kyū-hachi-yon) 1Q84.

^ i just might pick 1Q84 again and actually read this time. Done with the audio but feels like I missed out certain parts mabilis kase ko makatulog and the story's quite serious. With a book that dense maybe actual reading is more comfortable if your attention span's the size of a toothpick, like mine

no probs. audiobooks are books... and reading is too mainstream lol

you really need to devote a lot of time and attention to 1Q84. maglagay din nga ako ng ebook sa laptop ko.

If you were to ask me, I would not consider manga that updates once a week because it's not much of a challenge. (Yeah, I'm a manga reader too.) Our goal here is to challenge ourself to read (or listen) up to 50 books with considerable length.

I'll consider graphic novels (i.e. Sandman, Neverwhere) but not anime mangas with about 20 manga pages a week.

^ Makes sense... some are juvenile and read more like archie comics. So say, we consider here only full-length mature types.

    (full-length = completed its run)

Nice one. The Litigator from Grisham. Galing na nya being a humorist. For me his best novels are those with light and even straight up humor works nya. Pero syempre walang tatalo sa The Painted House.

It's up to you really. This is more of a personal challenge so you can go by your own rules. If you think you want to consider these books as part of the 2012 challenge then by all means, list them here.

Let me reiterate that this is not a competition between PExers. This is a personal challenge to push yourself into reading books. More than a challenge, this serves as a motivation for you to read more books than what you are used to.

We can ask admin Nakura to hand-out pins to those who are able to finish 50 books by the end of the year as added motivation. How do we know if said list is legit? Simple. Honesty system.

Care to share us what the book is all about? Perhaps a little backgrounder and what you think about it. Also, include in your review if this is worth reading.

Quick question: How important is Useless the Elder and Useless the Younger in the story?
