@mommyta well yun nga, Samsung warranty I think covers replacement of hardware when needed. Yung 32 GB kahit ako tempted kumuha niyan, but for your peace of mind best to get the official 16 GB instead. I personally haven't claimed Samsung warranty yet, so I have no first hand experience as to what exactly it covers and what conditions need to be met in order to claim warranty.

@jordan_rules dude try unchecking "Launch S Voice (when double tapping home button". It's in the settings for S Voice. You can also set Window Animation scale and Transition Animation scale to 0.5 or even lower if you'd like.

Yes bro. Already did those when I read the tips you posted earlier. Pero may lag pa rin. Tried installing yung Nova screen launcher as I read in androidforums.com na walang lag dito, pero mayroon pa rin eh (pero not as much as yung default Touchwiz installed on our S3).

@jordan_rules I see. Don't know what to suggest dude. My S III's home button either reacts faster or reacts similar to the home button of my iOS device ( I'm not an Android purist hehe, though admittedly I tend to side with Android when it comes to all things mobile). Also, haven't tried either Apex or Nova, between the two I hear Nova is easier to use on the S III.

^ You're S III was already updated with the latest firmware if memory serves me right. You haven't received any over-the-air updates by any chance, around 9.8 mb in size? It's supposed to improve performance. I got mine over Wifi but I think you can also get it over 3g.

but in all fairness naman, legit naman 'yung online store na bibilhan ko sana...I bought my Ipad 2 sa kanya...'yun lang, iba naman kase ang warranty ng Apple sa Samsung...hehe...

tanong lang. i turn off the mobile data after every use. pero pag binuksan ko na, ayaw magconnect sa internet, kailangan ko pa'ng i-restart yung phone para lang maka-connect ulit. ganon din ba sa inyo?

^Wifi ba dude or 3g ? For Wifi just press Wifi toggle on drop down menu.

For 3g/hspa+ set mobile network to WCDMA only. Also postpaid APN different from prepaid APN. Postpaid is faster. If you see MyGlobe Connect as your default APN that would explain why it's slow. If postpaid you should have MyGlobe Internet.

Last night (or this morning) I was checking my email like a madman. Here in the US, word broke the Verizon has begun shipping a few days earlier than what they said. So the first ones should be arriving on Thursday. So far nothing but I also feel like I'm in a race against Apple that is trying hard--and pretty much succeeding--in getting Samsung products banned. I'm crossing my fingers that I'm in one of the early batches!

For those looking for cases, I hear there's a store at Greenhills Vmall that sells genuine Capdase cases... hope they have some for the S III. There's also a store at Megamall, supposedly somewhere between Octagon and 5th Avenue that also sells Capdase cases and they definitely have cases for the S III.

Are the Capdases any good?

My brother uses a Capdase Alumor Jacket case on his Galaxy Note. He dropped his phone while in Hongkong. Nagasgas yung case (not really noticeable unless you look really close) pero wala namang nangyari sa phone. Buti din na yung likod, hindi yung screen, ang tumama sa cemento at may lanyard na nakakabit doon sa case. I'm eyeing the dark grey Capdase Alumor jacket case.

Magkakaroon daw soon dito sa Pinas. Paki check Otterbox outlet sa Glorietta 3 ata at sa North Edsa. Pati Digital Walker, they offer otterbox cases.

Buti't medyo dumadami ang choices for accessories , bahala na lang kayo kung ano ang gusto niyo.
