Toyota has really been finding ways to earn more. We plunk down 1.5M for a Hiace and it comes with steel rims and a hubcap.

But heck, people still buy it because its a Toyota. Kahit yung Chery, lagyan mo ng Toyota badge, bebenta siguro.

well slamm, i think myas110 has a point here. why would toyota replace such parts where it has already been proven to be free from defects for years. besides, if they would change some parts of it, it will only entail additional cost and too much price increase will not be good at all. after all, i can see that avanza was really a hit for mid earner individuals like me who could not afford to buy a car more than 900k.

and regarding the chery thing...you made me laugh at that. we just need to accept that sometimes you pay more for the brand name rather than the item itself. right? the 500pesos we spent at max's or at pizza hut is not the actual price of the food we eat but of course it includes the name. just my opinion anyway.

maganda nga yung bagong avanza! but kung kukuha ka, make sure to buy the 1.5 engine variant.
