PBA historian Jay P. Mercado chronicles some of the most notoriously celebrated crowd-clearing brawls in PBA history.

Not advisable as a pre-law course. Walang kinalaman sa law school ito.
tama not advisable as a pre-law course.
maraming trabaho din naman for Private Sector, pero siyempre mas better if sa government ka magwowork.
saan napupunta ang alumni ng NCPAG? and how does thisi differ from Political science? marami bang polsci subjects dito at economics? marami rin bang management subjects? gaano ito kahirap? thanks
most alumni worked in Government (PMS, Senators and Congressman Staff) pero some sa Private din naman napadpad
Polsci subject - isa lang Polcsci11
Econ subject- isa lang Econ11
Management subjects- wala ata?
Pero may electives naman so you can take polsci or economics subjects as your electives
i'm a NCPAG alumni and i'm now taking Law, some of my former classmates are also taking Law.
we are pretty knowledgeable on Constitutional Law (especially Consti Law I, one subject in Law School) because of our background regarding the government and how it works. (it's more of a PA 11, PA 108, and PA 141 in NCPAG)
we also have PA 151 which is about Local Gov't which is another subject is law school
and we have an Admin Law subject (forgot the course code) which is also another subject in law school
plus you can take electives in other colleges/depts especially PolSci and Econ
theoretical/applied
i would say both
private sector?
yes, Public Ad
we have courses on Personnel Admin or Human Resource, project management and the like. some even consider Public Ad as a jack-of-all-trades. but most alumni of ncpag are with the gov't at the moment. i also know some that are with the private sector
hope this helps
"ito okay naman, ikaw perestroika, musta naman u?" - BS Public Ad.
sorry corny lang.![]()
yung isa kong friend na Public Ad graduate nasa bangko, under ng IT ang trabaho.. depende rin talaga.
@perestroika Baliktad pala tayo ng problema. BAPA kasi ako ngayon, pero parang gusto kong mag-shift out kasi baka hindi ako makapag-law.
@dashingdevonair @analystgirl Bakit hindi advisable ang BAPA as pre-law?

If this course if about paperworks and readings, then it is a perfect foundation for studying law.
I'm an alumnus of UP NCPAG
After college, been working in the shipping industry.
Management courses? Personnel/Fiscal/Project Management.
I am happy that it is my undergrad degree.
Now, off to transportation management/maritime graduate studies
A close friend of mine is a Public Ad graduate. He's now working in an NGO helping rural folks with disaster risk management. He seems happy with his job naman.![]()
wow may nag post about BAPA. Nakakatuwa. Been studying at NCPAG from Engg since 2008 and I'm about to finish BAPA this year. Same din ang tanong ko kay TS. Marami nang nauna saking mga batch 06 pero up to now either they're jobless, still studying, or working (pero isa lang ang talagang kilala kong big shot na). This year nag Civil Service Exam kami hoping na sa government na lang siguro ang ending talaga. Pero seriously, up to now, clueless ako.
In fact kahit anong major pwedeng pre-law (in the end, 15 units ng English, Polsc etc lang kailangan mo for admission sa law school).
I'm an incoming freshie sa BAPA program.... And it's my Pre-Law course.
Should you be REALLY good at Math sa course na 'to? :/ Ugh.
Ma'am inspired me to continue with BAPA.
Hello!
Grabe naman! May trabaho naman sa kahit anong course, it's a matter of diskarte lang talaga. Also, there's civil society that you can opt to work for.
Your professors will be the best ones to give you the best advice on what careers are in demand right now, and if you have an outstanding track record as a BAPA student, they could even recommend you to certain institutions looking for competent individuals like BAPA grads to work for them.
BAPA as Pre-Law
I think, as a political science major who shifted to BAPA, public ad is a more appropriate pre-law course. It's just that PolSci is the more popular pre-law course. To be honest, I have no idea that PolSci is about political dynamics, political behavior, etc. I thought it would be about government service. Too bad, di ako nagsearch when I was about to fill up my UPCAT form. But at last, nandito na rin ako sa BAPA.
Careers in BAPA
Most end up as lawyers while others choose to pursue government service without a law degree (most of them go to grad school, particularly SURP or urban planning). Dr. Ben Diokno of UP Econ and Prof. Herisadel Flores of NCPAG are living examples that BAPA grads can be economists, too.
Courses or Subjects in BAPA
Management of Organizations
Office and Systems Management
Personnel Administration
Fiscal/Financial Management
Governmental Accounting & Budgeting
Policy Analysis
Program/Project Development & Management
Local Governance
Public Service Ethics & Accountability
PA & the Economic System
Based on the subjects enumerated above, talagang multidisciplinary ang BAPA. Tulad nung sinabi ng isang poster sa taas, jack of all trades nga, which I very much appreciate dahil I'm considering a lot of grad school options like urban planning, development econ, political science, sociology, and even psychology.
Hope this helps!![]()
