How do you activate the 3G service for Sun? Per minute ba sila magbawas or per kilobyte?

I'm a Globe user.

Same problem. So... yun.

If you're planning to switch to Globe, then go TM instead.

    Why?
+ Promos are WAY cheaper. (P10 for 1day Unli to Globe/TM users; P15 for 2 days)
+ It's basically Globe, only with a different name and cheaper promos.

Both Smart and Globe are too mainstream. Only get them when you going post-paid.
But if only prepaid, find cheaper alternatives IMO.

@kscaps, just maintain one sim that will benefit you most at hind dahil pwersa ng kung sino man. Magastos din if you're maintaining two or more.

For me kung talagang importante ang isang message makakarating at makakarating yan kesyo anong network pa ang ginagamit mo.

Ayyy, I don't think so... Lalo na pag nagpapa-announce yung 1st period prof namin na di sya makakapasok that day.

and with the way the unli promos are set up, mas makakatipid ka kung dun ka sa network na pinaka-madalas mong tinitext or tinatawagan.

I believe the target market of Globe for TM are those who living in the provinces, just look at their TV ads. Puro probinsyano ang concept
Though I'm not saying that TM is not appropriate for Manileno, it's just that I don't feel the hype of it, parang cheap kung naka-TM ka, better get Globe instead.

What is the extra 1 peso being sent sometimes compared to maintaining 2 sims and loading them unli all the time? That's false economy.

TS should have a close network or friends that whatever important message that will come through, he or she will be informed. Kung ganun katindi sa pag spare ng piso para sa isang text, the TS can reimburse the message sent to his mobile phone. That's still cheaper than maintaining two sims and phones.

Hmm....after reading your opinions, it seems that the majority is like telling me to either get a phone that has a dual-sim or just switch to Globe/Sun.

Thank you for your opinions. I might consider getting Globe's My Super Plan Family Combo (since my tita and my cousin might be considering this too). Though I'm still thinking if I will keep my Smart number since I usually text my family all the time (All of them Smart users).

Off topic: I noticed a lack of Smart Business Centers in malls. Majority of which in inside SM Malls. There used to be a store in TriNoma but it closed down to make room for Digital Walker. And I noticed that it also has an absence in some high-end malls (except Shangrila and Power Plant). Just thinking.

    Any thoughts on this?

Kung kukukuha ka kumuha ka na, andaming phone na less than 2k lang dyan if you cant let go of your smart number, why choose when you can have both?

    switch to sun

    how about switching to sun?

I am also a postpaid user of Smart. I got the Smart Freedom Plan (or Plan 0) and what I don't like about Smart is the way they are charging their subscribers. The rates are inconsistent. Some of the things that you will see in the rate guide are really really confusing. For example, in the guide it says 1.00 per minute to access voice mail, but in reality, it's 1.02 because of the 2% value added tax that they passed on to smart postpaid subscribers.

There are also a lot of services that are not what they seem to be in smart.
