    Samsung GALAXY Note: Worth buying?

I am planning to own a Samsung Galaxy Note as a gift for myself,
May nakikita akong good reviews about the phone na quite
convincing, pero minsan I am having second thoughts and
I can't really decide kung bibili ba talaga ako. It will be my first
smartphone kasi, and all I have ay isang lumang Samsung phone
talaga akong alam about these stuffs. Until I find Galaxy note
interesting. Kaya lang I tried researching, googling, about
best smartphones ng 2011 and even one of them wala ang
Samsung galaxy note. I tried reading threads and posts here also
pero parang hindi siya masyadong popular. Wala akong makitang
pinag-uusapan ito or anything like that. So sana you can help me
to decide if I should buy one. I can't decide if I will buy a
Galaxy note now or should I wait for the newer version instead?
Or should I consider to look for more other smartphones?
As I said It'll be my first smartphone to own and maybe the last,
so as much as possible I should make the right decision.
Hope I can hear a lot from you, hope you can help me. Thanks.

As a general rule, don't settle for anything less. Kung halos parehas sila ng specs or lumalapit go for the NOte. pero pag malayo I suggest don't settle for anything less.

I think Galaxy Note is like a SG2 with bigger screen and faster processor. If you like a bigger phone with some tablet capabilities (based sa commercial) then go for the Note. There is a rumor for SG3 mid next year so pwede ring maghintay ka nalang doon.

I also thought of buying Note kaso nga lang masyado siyang malaki for my pocket (as in literal na malaki kasi yung phone). Maghihintay din ako for mid next year kung totoo yung SG3.

I always advise people to stay away from Android kung hindi ka techie. Better get a Windows 7 phone or an iPhone.

Does being a techie means you should know a lot about
downloading stuffs in the internet, rooting, ROMs, etc?
Kasi I'm not into that kind of things eh, yung normal
    or anything.

I considered Galaxy note kasi I think the
specs are brilliant and the features are awesome since
I can do sketches, and a lot of stuffs, and I also
like the Androidmarket since almost the same siya
sa Iphones appmarket or kung ano man ang tawag doon
pero I don't like to own an Iphone kasi parang it was
too typical and parang limited lang ang mga pwede
kong gawin, unlike Galaxy phones na pwede kong
i-customize since I can add different widgets to the
homescreens which will be very helpful since it will
make me be more creative and productive
and maybe it could be a good companion device
since I am going to college again soon.

Sad to say but seriously, I don't have any idea
about Windows 7 phones. Whats fascinating about those?

I also thought of buying Note kaso nga lang masyado siyang malaki for my pocket (as in literal na malaki kasi yung phone). Maghihintay din ako for mid next year kung totoo yung SG3.
Actually the screen size caught my attention lalo na
with the addition of the S pen, kaya it doesn't
actually matter to me if the device is big.

Should I wait a little more kung may mga magagandang
smartphones pa ang lalabas next year?

Currently i'm a SG2 owner, planning to get SG Note next year.
Though they almost have same specs except the latter has bigger screen, higher resolution(pixel density), faster processor though bigger and heavier.

I had once an iphone, itouch and a tab(10.1) before buying SG2, having 2-3 gadgets on the go that's why I wanted to have an ultimate mobile gadget and I found it in SG2. But when I find SG Note, I wanted to retire my SG2 soon. Actually, even before the SG Note release, I was planning to buy the 4.8-inch Acer Iconia Smart only to be dismayed by its inferior specs even against my SG2.

I prefer the bigger screen since I play and browse the net a lot to kill time. A five-inch-screen phone is not too small nor too big to be handy with all the functions of being a multi-media device and as a phone in one.

For me, iphone is already a thing in the past.
    Android rocks!

^you actually have a very good point, and u stated it well. For people like me who is confused in getting between SG Note and a Windows Phone, big deal sakin ang apps and bigger screen.

Hati pa rin ang buying decision ko sa dalawa, I like a phone with windows 7 OS but at the same time, i like the 5.3 inches screen of SG Note..

Im still confused wich one I should buy for myself this Christmas..

On my note, Windows 7 phones vs IOS phone, I prefer the latter. Why? Very limited apps available for Windows 7 phones.

Didn't i mention already that iOS phone is already outdated, well, that's for me.

  11. #11
Ops, i only prefer Android OS on phones, not on laptops/tabs.

I love my Mc notebook than my Windows 7 notebook.

im currently using Blackberry Bold 9000 (di rollerball pa! ) and i'm thinking of shifting to Samsung, either SGS2 or SGNote.

If you're into i-net browsing, man, go for the bigger screen, i'm still not contented with SG2's 4.3 screen display. By the way, the cheapest brand-new S-Note available in the country is around 28-29K. Not bad, it's almost the same range with WP 7.

    more convincing please....

please tell me more why I should not buy a Windows 7 phone like Nokia Lumia 800??? and why I should go for SG Note..

I love my Galaxy Note. Maganda battery life and all the other reasons stated sa net...

    naks!

how do you use the note as a phone? with earphhones, bluetooth headsets? i cant imagine that big of a tab and using it as a phone. parang awkward lang parang naglagay ka ng notebook sa tenga mo.

  20. #20
yup bili ka na. if like mo talaga mag sketch etc, this is the phone for you. di naman siya masyadong malaki, sakto lang sa maluluwag na bulsa. and pwede mo rin siya i upgrade sa ice cream sandwich os paglabas nito. sa samsung store ako bumili kasi nakakatakot pag sa online seller lang. if you want a full review, check mo sa gsmarena.
