A Better Than Ever Greenwich Christmas with John Lloyd Cruz

Greenwich, the country’s favorite pizza, levels-up this year’s holiday season by ushering the most wonderful time of the year in true Greenwich fashion.
A few weeks ago, sought-after leading man and Greenwich endorser, John Lloyd Cruz, graced the “Better Than Ever Greenwich Christmas” media event at the SM Megamall store to launch The Greenwich Overloaded Pizza Blowout - a nationwide pizza sampling that was an early Yuletide treat for pizza lovers all over the Philippines

People are gearing up for the holidays this early, including me,” observed John Lloyd Cruz. “Of course, we all want to have the best holiday season ever and one way to do it is to give our loved ones the best Christmas gift we can think of.”
“But if you have a long Christmas gift list like I do, choosing the right gift can be quite stressful. So what I do is give things I enjoy. It makes me feel good because it’s like sharing a part of you to people you love. It can be the latest CD of my favorite band or even favorite pizza-Greenwich, now better than ever!” he added.
True to his word, John Lloyd took the role of pizza chef for the day when he personally demonstrated how the better-than-ever Greenwich pizza is made. Together with Greenwich R & D Head, Ms. Suzanne Cruz, John Lloyd showed the guests how Greenwich pizza satisfies the Filipino appetite with pleasure.

Just as the guests enjoyed John Lloyd’s mouth-watering pizza, which he personally prepared, pizza lovers across the Philippines also had the chance to taste over 10,000 slices of the Greenwich Ultimate Hawaiian Overload and the Greenwich Special Overload pizzas – for free – via the nationwide Greenwich Overloaded Pizza Blowout.
Serving as Greenwich’s early Christmas treat, the Greenwich Overloaded Pizza Blowout gave customers a chance to taste why Greenwich is better than ever.

Greenwich indeed has a way of capturing the heart and appetite of Filipino pizza lovers. It all begins with the all-new freshly made crust that makes Greenwich pizzas better than ever. It comes in thin or thick serving and made even more tasty using only the freshest ingredients to ensure the right consistency. Crispy on the outside while soft and chewy on the inside, the all-new crust perfectly goes with premium overloaded toppings, flavourful sauce and melt-in-your mouth cheese. And when we say cheese, it’s overloaded with more cheese!
The Greenwich Overloaded Pizza Blowout and its all-new delightful crust are proof of the country’s leading pizza chain’s dedication to bring the Filipino pizza experience to a whole new level helping make barkada bondings stronger and the Christmas of 2011 better than ever.

John Lloyd wants to keep things private
By Jerry Donato (The Philippine Star) Updated December 19, 2011 12:00 AM
MANILA, Philippines - In two weeks’ time, 2011 will be the year that was. John Lloyd Cruz may consider this year as one for the books. He has figured in a “bizarre” love triangle but John Lloyd has managed to snag endorsement deals (Magic Flakes and Head & Shoulders) and win awards (Box-Office King and FAMAS Best Actor).
“Honestly, I don’t know,” says the Jack ‘n Jill Magic endorser of his magic in surviving intrigues and controversies. “I think the best way to make sense of it is that character makes more impact than reputation.”
Just like in the past, John Lloyd will charge the recent development in his personal life to experience and try not to commit the same mistakes again. When he looks back years from now, John Lloyd “can confidently say that I rose above it all gracefully and with dignity.”
As an actor, John Lloyd understands the public’s insatiable enthusiasm in knowing everything about his life. He says that “maybe, that’s how interesting the life (of an actor) is.” However, what’s written and talked about is not all true. There are “dagdag (addition) and bawas (omission)” as John Lloyd puts it.
“It’s part of the business,” he says. “We can’t possibly change it… what is important is how you show your character. In any kind of work, there’s (controversy and intrigue). Hindi lang naman sa show business. What is important is how you give it a fight. It’s not important what you are going through. What matters most is how you will go through it.”
As for the state of his heart, John Lloyd plans to “keep my mouth shut. Since I became open about my personal life to media and to the public (in the past), things became out of control. Right now, whatever I want to (happen in my life), I th ink the best way to protect it for now is to keep it to myself and let it be as private as possible.” This includes his relationship with Shaina Magdayao.
“We’re doing fine even shortly after what happened (to us),” shares John Lloyd. “Maayos naman kami. We don’t have problems. We’re okay. We spend time together. We watch concerts… We are still trying to discover how to really take care of something like this (the kind of relationship we have)… I’m still trying to discover the best way how to take care of it.”
Asked if he and Shaina are together, “No, we’re not.” John Lloyd says it always takes two to tango. Both parties are responsible for the success and failure of the relationship.
Meantime, John Lloyd is bringing magic on the small screen as he topbills a series of TVCs for Magic Flakes. Seen with some girl on the commercials, John Lloyd shares that Magic Flakes is a healthy snack option. One has a variety of crackers to choose from like Magic Creams, Magic Coated and Magic Chips. The crackers are either filled or coated with chocolate and butter, while the bite-sized crackers come in cheese and barbeque flavors.
What’s in the pipeline for John Lloyd? He and Sarah Geronimo will do the third installment of their box-office hit A Very Special Love. A TV series with Bea Alonzo is also lined up for next year. He is also finishing Unofficially Yours opposite Angel Locsin.
Despite all the intrigues, 2011 is a good year for John Lloyd. He is ending it with his recent Best Actor win from FAMAS.
“Of course, you want the recognition,” he says. “But (an award) should not be the basis of your hard work and how much effort you give to your craft. If (an award-giving body) recognizes you, it’s a big bonus. It’s the same way (when the movie earns at the tills)… If the movie becomes a box-office hit, it’s a bonus for the actors.”

Are John Lloyd Cruz and Shaina Magdayao back in each other arms?
The speculation grew louder after Shaina Magdayao's older sister Vina Morales told the press, "I always knew naman na magkakabalikan silang dalawa."
But John Lloyd has chosen to keep mum.
"I keep my mouth shut muna," the top matinee idol said during the renewal of his contract with Magic Flakes, a brand he endorses, at the Xin Tain Di restaurant at the Crown Plaza Hotel, Ortigas, Pasig City, earlier today, December 15, 2011.
Combining charm and caution, he told the press when the questions veered towards his love life: "Don't be afraid."
But his biggest revelation during the interview was: "Not officially. Yun lang."
The award-winning actor continued, "Masyado kami sigurong naging...ako, ako siguro, ayoko nang mandamay.
"Masyado siguro akong naging open sa media, sa public, ng personal life ko, na parang naging out of control na.
"Ngayon lang nangyari 'to.
"Right now, uhm, kung anuman yung gusto kong ma-achieve related to your question, siguro the best way to protect it muna for now is to keep it to myself and let it be as private as possible."
MORE JOHN LLOYD-SHAINA SIGHTINGS? The possibility of seeing them together is big, he admitted.
Despite everything that has been said in the press about their relationship, he said: "Maayos naman kami."
It will be recalled that the couple broke up last month. Shaina denied that Ruffa Gutierrez had anything to do with it, but admitted confronting the TV5 star via text. John Lloyd also said no third party was involved.
He elaborated: "Shortly after everything that happened, maayos naman kami.
"And, kung anuman yung mga naging problema, I had to attend to it, everything...especially yung mga related sa family.
"So, yun lang yung ginawa ko. And for now, that's all I can tell you. Maayos kami.
"Wala kaming...wala naman kaming problema. We're okay. We can spend...we spend time together," he said.
The last time they were interviewed on The Buzz, both admitted that the relationship was going through a rough patch.
But now is what John Lloyd dubbed a "discovery" period.
He elaborated, "Siguro we're still trying to discover how to really take care of something like this, you know. Yun lang, I guess. Siguro yun ang pinakamagandang sagot...

I’ll be honest. I’m a big fan of his, but John Lloyd Cruz scares me.
Don’t get me wrong—he’s a nice enough guy, but he can be hard to interview. Compared to other celebrities, he’s not usually forthcoming when asked about his personal life, which I totally understand. After all, he does have the right to keep certain things to himself although he’s a public figure. But speaking as an entertainment journalist, his reticence makes my job as an interviewer more difficult because I have to work twice as hard to get him to open up. So you can imagine my surprise when I witnessed John Lloyd talking freely about love and relationships during his press conference for Jack ‘n’ Jill Magic.
The press conference was organized by Stratworks and held at Xin Tian Di, a Chinese resto on the fourth floor of the Crowne Plaza Galleria Manila. There were only about thirty reporters from various broadcast and print media outfits present, and we were spread over three tables. We were a small group, which, frankly speaking, struck me as unusual. Because of John Lloyd’s stature in the showbiz industry, I expected there would be more reporters present. There were also some hotel guests eating lunch near the press conference area.
When John Lloyd finally walked into Xin Tian Di, those guests recognized him and freaked out. They excitedly whipped out their cell phones to take photos of him as he passed their table. To his credit, he acknowledged them by smiling and waving as he strolled over to the presidential table, which was set up in front of a photo wall bearing the Jack ‘n’ Jill Magic logo. After John Lloyd took a seat next to Chris Fernandez, Universal Robina Corpoation’s Marketing Manager for Biscuits, the press conference’s Q&A portion began.
Here are a few photos of John Lloyd and Chris at the presidential table.

http://julesexplainsitall.files.word...pg?w=700&h=525
http://julesexplainsitall.files.word...pg?w=700&h=525
The Q&A portion began with John Lloyd describing what he does whenever he’s tapped to endorse a product. “I really immerse myself in the product,” he says. “Hinahanap ko yung sarili ko sa kanya. I think about whether or not it’s in line with how I want to portray myself as an actor and as a person. Kapag ginagawa ko yun, nagiging mas personal sa akin yung trabaho ko, and I guess that’s what makes me an effective endorser.”
John Lloyd identifies with his new endorsement because it has a wide variety of products—like Magic Flakes, Magic Creams, Magic Coated and Magic Chips—and he wants to vary his career by exploring as many genres as Jack ‘n’ Jill Magic has products! “I don’t want to get stuck on just one. That’s why I’ve tried comedy, drama and gothic romance,” he explains. “Mas marami, mas maganda, mas sulit para sa audience.”
Here are more photos of John Lloyd answering questions during the Q&A portion.

Things began to get really interesting when it was my turn to ask John Lloyd a question. I left my seat and sat indian-style on the floor in front of the presidential table. When the event host handed me his mic and I began to speak, John Lloyd focused his attention on me. I asked him, “Lloydie, your projects are received warmly by the public, no matter who you’re paired with. What’s your secret? How do you manage to create magic between you and your onscreen partners?” See what I did there? Hehe.
When I finished speaking, John Lloyd picked up his mic. Before he answered my question, he said he likes my new ash blonde hair color. “It’s nice na pati kilay mo pinakulayan mo.” (Since he’s widely held to be one of the most stylish male celebrities in the industry, I consider that a huge compliment.) He went on to say that each of his love teams is unique. “Magkaiba ang bawat tandem. Lahat kasi yan may kanya-kanyang chemistry. But to answer your question, I believe chemistry can’t be created. It’s a gift, to simplify things. I’m blessed to have that with all those wonderful women.”
After he said that, the atmosphere in the room changed. Everyone present sensed John Lloyd would be open to questions about women, particularly Shaina Magdayao. So when my mom, StarStudio’s Associate Editor Tinna Bonifacio, took the mic, she asked John Lloyd when he wants to settle down and start a family. His reaction to her question? He laughed uproariously and snapped his fingers in mock disappointment, as if to say, “I was so hoping no one would ask me something like that!”
But he entertained her question anyway. “Mahirap sabihin. Kapag na-meet mo na yung tao, yun na yun. Ideally, five years from now, when I’m 33 years old. I’m 28 now. Sa ngayon wala pa talaga yun sa isip ko. Ayusin ko na lang muna foundation ko as a man, person and provider for the future.”
Mom followed up her question with, “Have you met the person you want to settle down with?”
At this point, John Lloyd would normally have begged off from saying more, but he surprised me—and I think every other reporter in the room—by gamely answering my mom’s question. “Yun yung pinaka-complex yata sa lahat. Pwede rin naman na na-meet mo na siya, pero hindi mo pa lang alam at that time na siya na pala yon. I think more than you being in a relationship with a particular person, it’s a very personal thing, eh. Ikaw muna ang makaka-experience, ikaw muna ang makaka-discover. You search and you ask,” he says.
Mom would have continued with her line of questioning, but other reporters wanted to ask questions too, so she gave up the mic. John Lloyd then talked about how he felt when Jack ‘n’ Jill Magic renewed his contract. He says the news of his renewal made him feel good about himself again after a spate of bad press brought him down. “It felt really great, to be honest. Para pagkatiwalaan ka ulit, hindi ka nilaglag…it’s nice they still trust you. Napaka-personal din. Medyo emotional yung process.”
When the Q&A portion ended, John Lloyd and Chris were joined at the presidential table by Maricel Pangilinan-Arenas of Harrison for a quick contract signing.

Afterwards, John Lloyd took more questions.
http://julesexplainsitall.files.word...pg?w=700&h=525
Somehow, I ended up standing beside him as the other reporters crowded around him.
http://julesexplainsitall.files.word...pg?w=700&h=525
I know I look weird in that photo, but I swear it’s because I was concentrating on taking down notes!
He was asked about his thoughts on his name being synonymous with controversy because of what he’s been through recently. “How am I supposed to react to that? Controversy is part of the business. What’s important is you show your character, so years from now, you can look back and confidently say you rose above it all with dignity.”
John Lloyd plans to keep the details of his love life close to his chest from here on out. “About that matter, it’s best to keep your mouth shut instead. Ayoko na mandamay ng iba. The best way to protect it is to keep it to myself. From my end there is a desire to protect it, so you won’t see me talking about it on camera. Masyado lang siguro akong naging open, kaya naging out of control ang personal life ko.”
Mom and I exchanged glances when John Lloyd said that. Silence reigned until John Lloyd looked at all of us and joked, “Itanong niyo na yung gusto niyong itanong! Alam ko naman kung ano yun, eh.”
So my mom went for it. “Are you and Shaina still together?” she asked.
John Lloyd looked my mom in the eye and replied, “No, we’re not officially together, but we are friends. Maayos naman kami even after what happened. For now, that’s all I can tell you. We’re okay, we spend time together, and we’re trying to discover how we can take care of this. I don’t want to dissect it or elaborate on it. All of us have said too much, so it’s wiser to be quiet.”
However, he added that he would still be willing to talk about his relationship with Shaina in the future. “As long as hindi ako maging too open. Kapag ganun nagiging susceptible to attacks.”
The press conference ended soon after that, but not before John Lloyd told us he and Bea Alonzo are slated to do another teleserye together, and that part of it may be shot in Vienna, Austria. He’s also looking forward to filming another movie with Sarah Geronimo, but he would prefer to do a third part of the Laida Magtalas-Miggy Montenegro love story, rather than a new movie with a different plot, to satisfy all the fans who have followed those characters since A Very Special Love. “I think we owe it to them.”
Mom and I stepped back quickly as photographers swarmed John Lloyd, but not before I managed to have the photo below taken with him. I love the fact that he likes my hair. Haha!
http://julesexplainsitall.files.word...pg?w=700&h=525
I approached his road manager, Star Magic’s Zeny Jamito and told her, “Nagulat ako sa alaga mo, ang daming sinabi. Usually hindi yan ganyan kapag personal life na niya ang pinaguusapan.”
Ate Zeny just smiled knowingly and replied, “Ah, masaya kasi ang puso niyan ngayon, kaya siya ganyan.” Nice! I guess there really is no greater power than love!
P.S. Special thanks to Ms. Ginny Guanco and her team at Stratworks for accommodating me! :

MANILA, Philippines – If one forgets for a minute all the rather unsavory things said and written about John Lloyd Cruz of late, one would realize that none of it has truly knocked him down. Far from being beaten, John Lloyd is, in fact, looking forward to the new year.
“Actually 2012 will be exciting for me, career-wise,” he tells the handful of media people gathered during the signing of his renewed contract with Jack N’ Jill Magic on Dec. 15.
“As you all know, tinatapos na namin ni Angel ‘yung bago naming movie. It’s a very exciting movie,” he begins.
He also shares, “And we’ll be doing the third installment of ‘A Very Special Love,’ ‘You Changed My Life,’ with Sarah Geronimo.”
Although he avers that these projects are, as with most things in show business, not yet set in stone and subject to changes and delays, he nevertheless reveals, “And I’ll be back on TV! I might do a teleserye with Bea Alonzo. ‘Yun ang medyo exciting kasi matagal na kaming hindi nagsasama.”
He also adds, “Some parts of the teleserye will be shot in Vienna, in Spain… So ‘yun ang mga pwedeng abangan sa akin.”
Opening movie salvo
For fans of the JLC-Angel Locsin tandem, the actor notes that there is something new for them to look forward to early 2012. According to him, their movie, titled “Unofficially Yours,” is more of a change for Angel.
“Unang-una, kasi first time niya yatang magro-romcom,” he tells Bulletin Entertainment in an exclusive one-on-one interview after the media gathering. “Iba ‘yung mga ginawa niyang movies dati, ‘di ba, more on the dramatic side. So for Angel, [this is a] romcom na medyo may pagka-daring.”
But he quickly explains, “Daring, hindi ano ha, hindi daring na parang sex and skin.” But ever the joker, he says, “Pero, medyo a lot of skin… is gonna be shown.”
Kidding aside, he nevertheless says, “Romcom, pero mas comedy lang ‘yung approach namin. May humor lang. Hindi siya bastos.”
In it, he plays “the pathetic character of Maki Galvez… medyo pathetic ‘yung character eh,” he laughs. Angel, on the other hand, plays a writer for a lifestyle section of a publication.
John Lloyd says the target release is in “the third week of January,” and once again jokes, “in 2030,” perhaps alluding to the ongoing shooting schedule and what he says will be a “working holiday” for them.
Chicks, man!
John Lloyd’s partnerships with women are legendary—and by that we partly mean in terms of box office numbers. Back at the press conference, he was asked how he manages to have long relationships… with companies, that is.
“I’d like to believe na, it’s how I associate my brand, my name [with the brand]. Noting how endorsing is “very personal,” he says, “It has to be a brand that you believe in… will really use, or tell your friends or family [about], or make them use it or purchase it, ‘di ba?”
As for his leading ladies, the ‘magic’ happens between them because “meron kaming kanya-kanyang chemistry. Iba ‘yung Toni-John Lloyd brand, iba ‘yung John Lloyd-Sarah, iba ‘yung John Lloyd-Bea, iba ‘yung Angel-John Lloyd. Kasi I believe you cannot create chemistry between two people eh, it’s a gift. I’ve been blessed lang talaga to have that with all of these wonderful women.”
When asked which of his team-ups generate the most excitement for fans, he replies, “Well, aside from my team-up with Luis Manzano… (laughs) ‘Yun, nag-generate po talaga ng kilig ‘yun. Nahirapan nga siyang bitawan eh.”
Insisting, however, that, “I don’t want to be unfair,” he tackles the question with a bright, if showbiz reply, “Siguro the best way to put it is, lahat sila, pantay-pantay ‘yung kilig na nabibigay nila sa akin.”
Love and marriage
When talk turns to marriage, John Lloyd briefly smiles, “Akala ko hindi na mae-encounter yang tanong na ‘yan.”
But indulging the press, he replies, “Marriage, medyo, I will not say na malayo pa, because I’m 28 now. Pero, ideally, five more years? And sana within that five years, I guess the next relationship would be, parang, a set-up na for the next five years.”
While he notes that “as of this very moment, wala pa sa isip ko ‘yung marriage,” he admits, “‘Yung mga ini-invest ko ngayon, siguro pwede mo nang tawagin na set-up,” in his preparation as “a person, as a man, as a would-be provider in the future.”
So he hasn’t found the right woman yet, he’s asked. “‘Yun ‘yung pinaka-complex yata sa lahat. Pwede rin naman na na-meet mo na ‘yung girl, pero hindi mo pa lang alam at that time na siya na pala ‘yon. I think more than you being in a relationship, or being with that particular person, I think it’s a very personal thing. Ikaw muna ang makaka-experience, ikaw muna ang makaka-discover [na ready ka na]. And then you search and you ask.”
Faithful… thankful
URC’s Marketing Manage for Biscuits, Chris Fernandez, says they have chosen John Lloyd as an endorser because, just like their snack, “he embodies fun, excitement and spontaneity… he is an exciting and effective actor that never fails to bring magic to people on screen and off.”
For John Lloyd, this contract renewal is much more significant than a business deal. Wearing his heart on his sleeve, he notes, “I felt really great, to be honest. Kasi it happened at a time na parang there were certain attacks and major bad press.
“So, para pagkatiwalaan ka ulit… na hindi ka nilaglag or iniwan sa ere… hindi nila binase sa perception ng kung sino-sinong tao ‘yung kanilang decision and they still wanted you to be their endorser. Sabi ko nga, medyo emotional ‘yung process para sa akin, kasi dun mo mapapatunayan kung sino ‘yung talagang na-appreciate ka…”
So what keeps him bouncing back amid all the issues and intrigues, “Honestly, hindi ko talaga alam. Siguro, the best way to make sense of it is, siguro, ano lang talaga, character makes more impact that reputation.”

John Lloyd talks about his role in Unofficially Yours

BY JAMIE ORTEGA PHOTO BY RON MENDOZA John Lloyd Cruz is one actor who never fails to bring magic to people on and off screen with his excellent portrayal of various characters. That, combined with his top-notch and versatile acting skills, was one of the reasons why he was chosen to be the new endorser of Jack n Jills Magic Flakes. At the Magic Flakes press conference last December 15, 2011 held at Crowne Plaza, Lloydie, as he is more popularly known, shared that he fell in love with the taste of Magic Flakes crackers. Lahat masarap, diba taste is 90% smell? John Lloyd also talked about his new movie with Angel Locsin titled Unofficially Yours, which will be shown by January next year. He said that the flick is a romantic comedy about two people who fall in love even if they are not ready to enter into a relationship. John Lloyd and Magic, the second time around
by Nana Nadal
“During field work, one of the sari-sari store owners we interviewed told us how the consumers, when buying Magic, would always say, ‘pabili nga noong crackers na John Lloyd’,” Universal Robina Corporation’s marketing manager for Biscuits, Chris Fernandez shares with a select group of media representatives. “It shows that the partnership is working,” he concludes, leading his group to sign another contract with the one and only John Lloyd Cruz.
“This is for 10 years,” the 28-year-old box-office king chides as he affixed his signature on the sheets of paper that ties his name to Jack ‘n’ Jill Magic once again. He is clearly grateful for the opportunity. “I felt really great kasi it happened at the time that there were certain attacks and major bad press so para pagkatiwalaan ka ulit and para bigyan ka ng ganitong chance, na hindi ka nilaglag or iniwan sa ere, na hindi nila binase sa perception ng kung sinu-sinong tao yung kanilang desisyon and they still wanted you to be their endorser… Sabi ko nga, ang galing, medyo emotional yung process para sa akin kasi talagang doon mo mapapatunayan kung sino talaga yung talagang na-a-appreciate ka at talagang nakakakilala sa ‘yo,” he reveals. It is indeed quite amazing how despite the flak being thrown his way, John Lloyd’s career continues to flourish. “Siguro the best way to make sense of it is, character makes more impact than reputation”, he muses.
As far as Magic is concerned, John Lloyd has done nothing but good things for the product. “Sales has been increasing. It’s a very competitive market, I wouldn’t say na natalo na namin yung kabila but because of John Lloyd, we are really in a fight now, plus we are the only brand in the market that has a lot of variants and flavors and I think that’s our main competitive advantage,” declares Fernandez. On the Magic menu are: Magic Flakes, crunchy premium crackers; Magic Creams, crackers with yummy chocolate and butter fillings; Magic Coated, chocolate cracker sandwich covered with rich chocolate; and the healthier snacking option (and allegedly John Lloyd’s favorite), Magic Chips, hearty baked bite-sized crackers “Magic is all about surprising snacking possibilities – a life full of fun, excitement, spontaneity. We feel John Lloyd embodies this because he is such an exciting and effective actor who never fails to bring magic to people, on and off screen,” Fernandez explains.
And if Magic can offer a wide variety of products, similarly, its endorser aims to showcase versatility in his craft. “That’s what I try to achieve in my career, I cannot just focus on one particular genre, I wanna be able to do as many as possible. From drama to romantic comedy, I’ve also tried yung gothic romance doon sa ‘Imortal’. It’s always yung range and variety of what you can offer and give ang pinag-uusapan. So pag mas marami, mas maganda, mas interesting and mas sulit for your audience,” rationalizes John Lloyd.
His fans have a lot to look forward to in 2012. The dynamic actor mentions several projects in the pipeline. “Tinatapos na namin ni Angel (Locsin) yung bago naming movie. And then I’ll be back on TV again. I might do a teleserye with Bea Alonzo.” The third installment of his wacky team-up with Sarah Geronimo is on the drawing board as well.
But his most immediate endeavor, scheduled for the holidays, involves those dearest to him. “I have big plans for myself and my family including all my nieces and nephews, cousins, and aunts. We’re all going on a trip, I think it’s gonna bring out the child in me again. Andami naming mga batang kasama, I’m really excited, feeling ko magandang regalo at magandang pagkakataon para sa akin na in a sense maging bata ulit and be around sa mga batang kamag-anak ko,” he says with a twinkle in his eyes.
In the meantime, you can catch him in the new Jack ‘n’ Jill Magic TV commercials airing on various channels.

ALL NEW Greenwich Freshly-Made Pizza
By JANEY | Published: DECEMBER 21, 2011
We have all seen the famous and often times hilarious commercials of Greenwich. But behind every ingenious TVC production is a new product from Greenwich’s innovative pizza line. Starting from 2008, Greenwich has been revolutionary in further improving and expanding its pizza line.
Featuring 2x more toppings than the average pizza, Greenwich introduced the Overloaded Pizzas. You thought they cannot top that… well they can with some gooey overly cheesiness with their Overloaded Xtreme Cheese Pizzas in 2009, featuring the Philippines’ cheesiest pizzas with 2x more cheese, along with the Philippines’ cheesiest campaign, the Xtreme Cheese Pizzas marked a milestone for Greenwich pizza as it infiltrated Philippine pop culture with its sobrang cheesy! campaign.
First there was the overloaded variety of toppings. Then, there came the generous serving of mozzarella cheese. This time, Greenwich cooks up another innovation that will surely take pizza enjoyment to another level-up experience.
Greenwich, in its continuing journey to innovate its products, is focusing on something NEW and FRESH. Toppings – checked. Cheese – checked. And now, Greenwich is zeroing in on the crust. It took years for this latest innovation to launch as Greenwich strives to bring to its customers the best tasting pizza experience. ***Drum roll please*** Freshly-made crust.
http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7149/6...2dae4a500e.jpg
2011 marks the biggest pizza innovation of Greenwich—The All New Freshly-Made Crust. Thorough research has been done, even going as far as other countries to make sure that the all new crust is world class. Greenwich’s all new crust is crispy on the outside, while soft and chewy inside –basically how most pizzerias would do it. But Greenwich does it in New York minute.
The all-new crust is freshly-made upon every order and baked to perfection. It perfectly complements Greenwich pizza’s premium toppings, flavorful sauce and generous amount of cheese that levels up the Greenwich pizza. You have the choice whether you want the crust made thick or thin.
Since Christmas season is the perfect time to exhibit “sharing,” Greenwich now offers a new 15” party size pizza perfect for any big barkada get-togethers. When you think of barkada, we remember that kulit barkada we’ve come to be familiar with led by sought-after leading man and Greenwich endorser, John Lloyd Cruz. I recently spotted him when he graced the “Better Than Ever Greenwich Christmas” media event at the SM Megamall store to launch The Greenwich Overloaded Pizza Blowout -a nationwide pizza sampling that was an early Yuletide treat for pizza lovers all over the Philippines.

Greenwich loyal followers remain enjoying Greenwich pizzas and other products that give them real value for money. With the launch of Greenwich All New Freshly-Made Pizza crust, there is only more to anticipate.

Well, not actually “with” celebrity/actor John Lloyd Cruz.
John lloyd Cruz with Magic
It just so happened that John Lloyd Cruz is the latest main man endorser of Jack n’ Jill Magic. Being one of the country’s biggest food manufacturers, Universal Robina Corporation (URC) chose John Lloyd Cruz based on his background and credibility as an endorser.
“For me, magic is something that has no formula, something you just cannot create,” John Lloyd shares. “What I’ve achieved in the business is no joke. But it couldn’t have been all hard work and talent. There has to be some kind of magic that made things work out.”

They also appreciated John lloyd’s versatility as an actor which is comparable to Magic’s varied product lines of biscuits and snacks composed of six varieties namely: Magic Flakes (Onion Chives, Cheese and Chocolate), Magic Thins, Magic Coated, Magic Creams, Magic Roundwich, and Magic Chips.
“There is truly more to him than being a dynamic actor. It’s like he works a kind of magic on and off screen to make life more exciting, and that is what our product is all about—living a life filled with fun, excitement and spontaneity, ” said Teree Eugenio, VP for URC Snackfoods 2, at the recently held press launch for Jack ‘n Jill Magic at Bar One in Crowne Plaza, Ortigas

John Lloyd Cruz can hardly wait for his reunion movie with Sarah Geronimo
12/17/2011 10:12 PM
by: Rachelle Siazon
http://www.push.com.ph/features/1218...1-jlc_main.jpg
John Lloyd Cruz confirmed that he’s slated to do a reunion movie with Popstar Princess Sarah Geronimo in 2012. Asked how he feels that Sarah’s excited to work with him again, John Lloyd happily told Push.com.ph, “Ako din excited. I’m really excited hindi lang para sa aming dalawa, kundi para rin sa lahat ng sumuporta sa movies namin. And at one point, it was the highest grossing Filipino film of all time. So I can’t wait to give them an offering coming from me and Sarah again.”
Given the success of A Very Special Love and You Changed My Life, John Lloyd shared that he prefers to do a sequel of the said movies than one with a new concept. “I was asked by director Cathy Garcia-Molina, ‘Would you want to do a third installment or an entirely new concept? Sabi ko, ‘Parang okay naman yung bagong story. Pero tingin ko we owe it to a lot of people to give them a third installment.’ I think I want to go for a third installment,” he reiterated.
If things go as planned, John Lloyd revealed that he’ll be working with Bea Alonzo as well. “Actually, 2012 will be very lucrative for me career-wise. As you all know, tinatapos na namin ni Angel (Locsin) yung ginagawa naming movie (Unofficially Yours). After that I’ll be doing the third installment of A Very Special Love. Then I’ll be back on TV again. I might do a teleserye with Bea. Yun ang medyo exciting kasi matagal na rin kaming hindi nagsama. Pero siyempre subject to change pa ’yan until magsimula na kami talaga mag-shoot.”
When asked to choose who among his leading ladies generate much kilig among his fans, John Lloyd refused to answer since he has a good working relationship with all of them. “Aside from my team up with Luis Manzano? Nag-generate talaga ng kilig ‘yan. Ang hirap nga bitawan e,” he joked at first. “That’s a tough question kasi I don’t want to be unfair to any one of them. Siguro the best way to put is may kanya-kanya kaming brand of romantic comedy or brand ng drama. Yung drama nahahati kay Bea at Angel tapos sa romantic comedy si Sarah and Toni (Gonzaga). Naniniwala kasi ako na chemistry between two people is a gift. So I guess I’ve been blessed to have that with my on screen partners.”

Sarah shrieks, she's not the highest paid artist on 'ASAP Rocks'
By JULIEN MERCED C. MATABUENA
December 17, 2011, 3:19am
MANILA, Philippines — Pop star Sarah Geronimo belied allegations that she is the highest paid artist of ABS-CBN Sunday noontime variety show, “ASAP Rocks.”
“Ay, hindi totoo. Hindi totoo!” Sarah said during a presscon/fashion show for a clothing brand on Dec. 7, as quoted by PEP in an article posted Thursday.
With the presence of music greats Zsa Zsa Padilla, Martin Nievera and Gary Valenciano in the show, the singer explained, “Parang hindi naman po yata ako maniniwala na ako ang highest paid.”
“Ako, e, napakasuwerte lang po na napasama sa ‘ASAP.’ Pero siyempre, ang mga pioneer po ng ‘ASAP,’ sila Sir Gary, Ms. Zsa Zsa,” said she.
Sarah admitted that her finances are still being handled by her mother, Divine.
“Hindi pa po ako nakikialam sa pera ko. Talagang ipinagkakatiwala ko muna po kay Mommy ang lahat,” she explained.
However, Sarah said that she’ll be the one controlling her own savings “soon.”
“Ayusin ko rin po talaga para maging hands-on din ako sa savings ko, sa sarili kong kinikita… Pero masyado po kasing busy ang nanay ko. Mas busy pa sa akin!” she said.
Sarah begged off revealing how much she earns for her projects, but offered, “May idea naman po ako kung magkano ang kinikita ko.”
On Gerald, John Lloyd
Sarah is happy now that she’s closer to her leading man, Gerald Anderson, whom she described as “mabait” and “gwapo.”
“Masaya ako na naging magkaibigan kami ni Gerald. Kasi noong ‘Catch Me I’m Falling in Love,’ hindi talaga kami nag-uusap. So, ang laking bagay na nagkatrabaho ulit kami,” she said, referring to their first movie team-up. Their second movie, “Won’t Last a Day without You,” currently runs in theaters.
While the next Sarah-Gerald starrer remains unknown, a Sarah-John Lloyd Cruz reunion movie is reportedly due in early 2012. The two last worked together on the films, “A Very Special Love” and “You Changed My Life” in 2008 and 2009, respectively.
Sarah is already excited about the project, but said, “Ang dami pang puwedeng mangyari. Puwedeng hindi matuloy... pero huwag naman sana.”
Meanwhile, the 23-year-old singer is not entertaining suitors at the moment.
Sobra akong malambot. Kailangan ko munang maging matalino pagdating sa matters of the heart. Kailangan ko na hindi maging gullible.
“Sabi nga ni KC [Concepcion], hindi lahat, dinadaan sa kilig,” she added, quoting the actress in her tell-all interview about her breakup with Piolo Pascual.
She then added, “Siyempre, babae rin tayo. Dumaan din po tayo sa isang relasyon. Failed relationship. Failed relationship... through text messaging!”

Pagpapatunay ni Dr. Maria Theressa Vergara, “Thirty to 40 deliveries per day kami. Ang problema namin ngayon, kung saan namin sila ilalagay.”
Tugon naman dito ni Rivas, “Itong damit ng buhay, ‘yung sariling init ng nanay nila, mailalagay nila ‘yung baby sa dibdib nila. Hindi mo siya mako-contaminate, hindi pa siya kailangan ma-expose.”
Umaasa siyang makikiisa rin ang mga tulad niyang artista sa pagbabahagi ng kanilang biyaya.

WITH DEEPEST SYMPATHY,
May the peace which comes from the memories of love shared,
comfort you now and in the days ahead.
We pray the love of GOD enfolds you during your difficult times and he helps you heal with the passage of time.
Life is eternal, and love is immortal
And death is only a boundary line,
And a boundary line is nothing,
just the limit of our sight.
Although it’s difficult today to see beyond the sorrow,
May looking back in memory help comfort you tomorrow.
