Actor John Lloyd Cruz revealed he would prefer a third installment of his movies with actress Sarah Geromino rather than do a movie with a totally new concept.
In an interview with Push.com.ph, Cruz said that he thinks he and Geronimo owe the sequel to the public considering that “A Very Special Love” and “You Changed My Life” were huge blockbuster hits.
“I was asked by director Cathy Garcia-Molina, ‘Would you want to do a third installment or an entirely new concept? Sabi ko, ‘Parang okay naman yung bagong story. Pero tingin ko we owe it to a lot of people to give them a third installment.’ I think I want to go for a third installment,” he said.
Cruz said he is already looking forward to shooting the film with Geronimo.
“Ako din excited. I’m really excited hindi lang para sa aming dalawa, kundi para rin sa lahat ng sumuporta sa movies namin. And at one point, it was the highest grossing Filipino film of all time. So I can’t wait to give them an offering coming from me and Sarah again,” he said.
Cruz and Geronimo’s third movie together is slated to be shown in theaters next year.
Meanwhile, Cruz shared that he will be having a busy 2012.
“As you all know, tinatapos na namin ni Angel (Locsin) yung ginagawa naming movie (Unofficially Yours). After that, I’ll be doing the third installment of
‘A Very Special Love.’ Then I’ll be back on TV again. I might do a teleserye with Bea [Alonzo],” he said.
According to Cruz, he missed his team-up with Alonzo because it has been a while since their last television series together.
Cruz, however, clarified that nothing is final yet until he and Alonzo begin taping the soap.
