    from ontario canada.
di ako second class citizen bec i refuse to be treated as one. i dont take crap from anybody.
very multicultural ang society dito,i respect and treat everyone the same so i expect to be reciprocated properly.
i feel i belong to our community.i volunteer,i donate and have friends of different colors.
and yes,our family is middle class.

malaking isda? i have close friend with millions, friend who is dept head of hospital department, single mother with 2 kids who live in a basement apt and cancer specialist who operates on infants still in womb, i treat them all the same and appreciate me all the same

na dinala lahat sa China ang halos lahat ng factories nila, that way nga naman, they are preserving their environment, whereas China..? Like you said, filthy as your septic tank

After almost a week of staying in South China. I would say, mababait sila. Grabe ako mangahamak ng mga Chinese kasi nga they eat like pigs, dumadahak sa hapagkainan etc...but I've seen and learned a lot about them. Matulungin sila at talagang maasahan sa trabaho, or maybe because I am their client and I'm always keeping my eyes on them.

You won't believe me, Shenzhen is just a more than a decade old city and I think it's a just a 3rd or 4th of Chinese biggest cities, pero dinaig nito ang Makati, BGC at Ortigas

About the environment, whether it is caused by China or some other countries, in the end, yung buong earth pa din ang magsu-suffer. So it's BS kung ang intention ng isang bansa by keeping its environment clean is also to save itself from global warming.

I've been here at Singapore for the past 5.5 years...and yes, no matter how other Filipino OFWs deny it, we are at most 2nd class citizens in here....even if you opt in to become a Singapore Citizen, your IC would still have the distinct classification of being a "New" citizen....

I have a house and my salary is above 90k SGD/annually so I guess we are a middle-class family in here....

but I already have plans of going back home for good....am just waiting for some firm offers from companies back there...once everything's finalized, I am hoping to celebrate my Christmas next year back home....

Hmm really interesting to see what people have to say.

My parents moved us here just as I had finished up elementary school in the Philippines. Wasn't necessarily my choice but I wouldn't change a thing. We lived a comfortable life in the Philippines before we moved here... We lived in a comfortable place, had a maid, went to private school, went on vacations, etc. It was difficult starting out when we first moved but my parents managed and, shortly after moving here, found themselves doing well. There wasn't a switch from big fish in a small pond, blahblah. My parents were middle class Filipinos and, a couple of years after moving to the States, became middle class here.

I'm middle class. Well, probably poor... but that has to do with the fact that I'm doing college full-time and working part-time rather than because I'm Filipino. It goes better with the "poor college kid" narrative rather than the "poor immigrant." I live away from my parents and while they can probably assist me if I asked for it, I'm completely financially independent from them. I pay for my place, my utilities, etc. And as that's based from working 20 hrs/week, I suppose I'm doing alright.

I've never felt like a second class citizen. There have been very isolated cases of racism but nothing that has ever affected my chance to have the same opportunities as everyone else or to feel that I am unable to live my life as I want.

yeah, 90k SGD annually, and since I'm the only one working in our household, we fall right in the middle-class category....

am not someone who can afford to own both a car and a flat....you can't call yourself rich in here if you can't own both....I was able to buy a 3-BR flat a couple of years back so I am pretty fortunate to be in this position....but then again, does that make me higher than the middle-class?

Kakaunti nga ang tao kaya iilan lang ang urban areas. Bakit kaunti ang tao? Kasi limited ang water supply.

Australia singlaki ng Amerika pero halos kalahati lang ng California ang population.

siguro in the years to come they'll expand the urban/rural areas... im sure there are waters supplies across the country if there are lakes or mountains in some areas anywhere... if there's a way they'll find a way and make it happen... siguro not this time, kasi nga hindi pa populated..
