MANILA, Philippines - “I’m never going to be in a relationship with an actor ever again,” KC Concepcion disclosed to veteran director Jose Javier Reyes during an intimate, closed-door interview at a Quezon City restaurant last December. “I don’t want to insinuate anything, but…when you’re already moving in a world of make-believe…you want your private life to be as real as possible.”

The rest of their revealing conversation is published in this month’s issue of Rogue magazine, one of the country’s top-selling glossies, where Concepcion graces the cover for the second time.

“The idea of putting KC back on the cover of Rogue was actually broached some months back by my friend Iya Guingona-Lagdameo of Plana Forma, the fitness program that KC follows and endorses,” says Rogue editor-in-chief Paolo Reyes. “But it never really materialized until the early days of December, when KC became the subject of national media attention in the wake of her very public breakup. At that point, there was no question in our minds who should be Rogue’s first cover subject of the year. KC had a message and we had no qualms about being the medium.”

Orchestrated by Rogue creative director Miguel Mari and photographer-at-large Mark Nicdao, the controversial image has been spreading virally over Facebook and Twitter (the magazine was a hot trending topic in the social network last Jan. 24), where many were quick to comment on its seemingly subliminal elements.

“The cover is completely open to interpretation,” says Reyes, when asked about the amusing responses. “The readers of Rogue are a very smart and creative lot. So we’ll leave that to their imagination.”

Nakatsikahan namin ang mag-inang Jenny Syquia at Cloie Syquia-Concepcion sa kaniang contract signing sa VIVA Artists' Agency for three years. Sa modeling at commercial muna magko-concentrate si Cloie dahil paalis din s'ya pa-Beijing, China sa February para sa kanyang pag-aaral. Babalik s'ya after three months sa Pinas.

Sey naman ng VIVA Entertainment, Inc. big boss na si Vic del Rosario at ng VIVA Aristists' Agency Head na si Veronique del Rosario-Corpuz, covered din ng kontrata nila kay Cloie ang posibilidad na mag-record ito ng album at lahat ng klase ng entertainment ay naka-stipulate sa kanilang kontrata.

Seventeen lang si Cloie at may taas na 5'7". Mula nang dumating siya ay hindi pa rin sila nagkikita ng kanyang amang si Gabby Concepcion. Indirect daw ang comunication nila.

Year 2005 nung huling umuwi ng Pilipinas si Cloie kasama ang ina. Tatlong taon na raw kinukulit si Jenny ni Cloie na mag-try ito ng modeling career sa Pilipinas.

"She's been asking me since, maybe, she was about..uhmm, I don't know, 14. Now she's 17, asking me to go to the Philippines...asking me if she could try it out. But I kept saying that she's not ready. We'll just wait a little bit longer, let her focus on her studies. Pero this year, she got a scholarship and went to China to study on her own at a university for four months."

"She's very mature. She worked very hard to be a scholar. And she still wants to try it, so...She had a very long break for Chinese New Year, so we said, 'Okay, let's go!' And she was really, really happy. And we are here!". kwento ni Jenny.

Na kay Cloie raw ang desisyon kung papayag ito na makasama si Gabby sa trabaho lalo't pareho silang taga-VIVA. Iba na raw yung sitwasyon noong 1994 at ngayon ay 2012 na.

"Yeah, I'm always open. I mean, he is my dad. So, it would be fun, of course!" deklara n'ya.

Tinanong din si Cloie kung nagka-boyfriend na s'ya sa Stockholm, Sweden kung saan sila nakatira.

"No, no, I'm still young!" aniya.

Ikinuwento ni Cloie ang unang pagkikita nila ng half-sister niyang si KC Concepcion sa hotel na tinutuluyan nila.

"Oh, it was so wonderful! We ran towards each other and hugged, and we were all crying! Coz..it's been such a long time", lahad pa ni Cloie.

Si KC din ang tumawag kay Boss Vic kaya pumirma na ngayon ng kontrata ang kapatid niya.

NOON pa pala kinukulit ni Cloie ang kanyang inang si Jenny Syquia-Skarne kung puwede siyang mag-try sa showbiz dito sa Pilipinas.

Kuwento ng dating misis ni Gabby Concepcion sa contract signing nilang mag-ina sa Viva kamakalawa, “She had to convince me. She’s been asking me since maybe she was about 14. Now, she’s 17.

“She’s been asking me to go to the Philippines, asking me if she could try it out. But I kept saying she’s not ready, we’ll just wait a little bit, a little longer and focus on her studies.

“This year, she got a scholarship and went to China to study on her own at university for 4 months.

So, I thought, ‘Oh, she’s very mature. She’s worked very hard to be a scholar and she still wants to try it.’

“So, she had a very long break for Chinese New Year. I said, ‘Okay, let’s go!’ And she was really, really happy. So, here we are!”

Sabay na pumirma ng kontrata ang mag-ina dahil nagbabalik-Viva si Jenny. Ihahanap siya ng Viva ng endorsements at possible TV guestings.

Open din ba siya na gumawa ulit ng pelikula?

“Oh, it’s very, very fun to be back. And I’m always open to new ideas and thinking about it. Juit being here these few days, I realized how much I missed it.

“How many friends that I have in the business that it’s been so nice getting back in touch with and seeing them.

“I guess, I just didn’t really realize how much I missed all my friends here. So, yes. I’d love to come back,” sey ng maganda pa ring si Jenny.

Dahil mas may demand sa telebisyon, okey ba sa kanya kung sa TV muna maganap ang kanyang showbiz comeback?

“Oh, gosh! I don’t see what doors got open for me. I’m open to anything. I really enjoyed it when I was here before. I think now, the focus is more on Cloie.

“She’s really excited about her new opportunities. But I’m always really happy to hear what*ever might be available for me or for the two of us.”

Sa bakasyon nilang ito naganap ang pagtatagpo for the first time ni Cloie at ng half sister nitong si KC Concepcion.

Anong pakiramdam ni Jenny na nagkita ang dalawa at nga*yon ay mukhang close na kaagad?
“I’m so, so happy. I’m really just thrilled about it. It’s been a long time coming.

“I always had Cloie write KC letters. She wrote her letters when she was younger. Even when she was just learning to write, she’ll write messages, put in school pictures and then I would have them delivered thru family friends, so they could get to KC.

“Because she (KC) was also very young too, it would be delivered to her mom (Sharon Cuneta) or to her grandmo*ther (Elaine Cuneta) and I’ve always encouraged the connection between them.

“I’m just so happy that when they finally did meet, it was just a natural relationship.

“And they are so much alike and she’s (KC) an absolute sweetheart. I remember her of course from when I would see her when she was little.

“She was so bubbly and sweet and also a darling. And she’s grown up to be as beautiful a wo*man as she was a child,” papuri pa ni Jenny sa da*laga nina Shawie at Gabby.

Okey lang ba kay Jenny kung mag-meet ang mag-amang Cloie at Gabby?

“You know, my gosh, it’s 2012! It’s not 1994! Ha! Ha! Ha!

“So long time ago! We’ve both moved on and I’m happy to hear that he’s also happy. And I hope he’s happy for me too.

“I’m sure he is. So, it’s ancient history! Ha! Ha! Ha!” tawa pa ni Jenny na happily married sa kanyang Swedish husband na si Filip Skarne.

Halimbawang may chance na makatrabaho ni Cloie si Gabby sa isang pelikula o TV show, okey lang ba sa kanya?

“Yeah. I mean, that would be Cloie’s choice. But I’ll always support her and whatever she wants to do, what*ever she chooses. She has made fantastic decisions for herself even at her young age of 17.

“She’s got a really good head on her shoulders and I’m sure she would weigh out whatever was offered to her.

“But I’m not gonna stand in the way of anything that she wants to do that she feels is the right thing,” pahayag ni Jenny.

Cloie Syquia Concepcion ang gagamiting showbiz name ni Cloie.

In-adopt si Cloie ng stepdad niyang si Fi*lip nu’ng siya ay 2 years old kaya isa na siyang Skarne. Si Filip at ang 5-year old sister ni Cloie na si Filippa ay bumalik na ng Sweden.
